Jamie responded quickly to my email with all the pertinent information I needed and when comparing her to several other well-reviewed therapists in the area we quickly settled on Jamie due to her more competitive rates and it was apparent that she was highly qualified and very easy to work with. She scheduled right away, was able to come right to our house to work with him, and get to work immediately. Within the first session she was able to teach him how to correctly produce an r sound which we had never been able to do with him. She had great rapport with him and though our son was very resistant to the idea of speech therapy, Jamie did a great job making it enjoyable for him and he even looked forward to his sessions. Teaching the r sound at his age can be a difficult one, due to him having to completely re-learn something he's been doing wrong for so long (and he's a BIG talker and communicator), yet we couldn't be more pleased with his progress in a VERY short amount of time. He's producing the sound with essentially 100% accuracy now and we are so glad we decided to invest in speech therapy, which is something I was very nervous about going into... Ms. Tallent is a pleasure to work with, is very knowledgeable in her field, is very easy and flexible in scheduling, and has great communication and competitive rates. I highly recommend her!

And the great thing is Jamie is very flexible and great with children as she is a mother herself. My latest experience had finally brought me to the decision to leave this practice for good! I was running a few minutes late and called to let them know because I am aware that most offices have a window of time you must arrive in. I was told it was fine as long as I was almost there. I arrived to the parking lot within 3 to 4 minutes from the phone call and we took about 25 seconds to walk through the office door to the window to check in. I was given the paper work and we went to wait for our appointment. I was then called to the front desk and told that I was 60 seconds past their window of 10 minutes and would not be seen. I asked to speak to the Doctor who would not take the time to come to the front but sent another office assistant who was as cold as the front desk staff. I explained that the woman told me on the phone it was fine if I was almost there and I did make it in the door before the 10 minute window. The office assistant did not care and told me we would not be seen. I asked for my records and I would go else where. They let me walk out without so much as a 'sorry, we hate to see you go" after years of being a patient there. I understand they have a window for appointments but after years of waiting for them to see my children way later than 10 minutes for any appointment I have ever scheduled there, to be turned away over a few seconds is unacceptable.

Poorly run office and accounting department. As everyone knows, they do automatic debits or charges to a credit card for insurance balances and we paid every charge on time. They provided no back up and my daughter switched insurance companies in 2025. While the teachers are very good, I have never seen a more poorly run office or accounting department with an owner who takes no responsibility for it. This is just poor, inexcusable, reprehensible, and inept. To date, we still have no back up for what they are telling us is NOW owed since 2024 when my grandson has had no services since the summer 2025 when he graduated from pre-k and they billed our credit card as they performed every service. Be very wary of this company unless you want to be billed with no back up for multiple invoices they say you owe dating back almost 2 years.

He seemed to feel success while getting treatment at the office. When he inquired about purchasing a device to use at home, he was sold a unit for $1000. Unfortunately, the office required that he "check-in" each time he conducted a home session to the tune of about $70. In addition, the unit was incompatible with his computer and it took over a year for the office to admit this and return the money. He essentially had no effective treatments from the home unit. After all of this, we asked for a copy of his records to be sent to a former psychologist my son had seen after his accident. The office WOULD NOT comply and provide the records until we threatened them with involving our attorney. This office is shady and dishonest. They do not hesitate to say whatever is convenient to avoid taking responsibility for their short comings. It is strangely odd that one never gets to speak to Dr. Preston. The "assistant" or technician is the only spokesperson who screens all calls and prevents interaction with the doctor. This technician is not trustworthy. Beware...this office is anything but on the up and up.
