As soon as I got there I realized I was with a young and somewhat inexperienced hairdresser. She didn't charge much and did an ok job so I decided to stick with her. I've seen Jenna maybe 5 or 6 times- never walking out really happy. There was always something not right. Too light or too dark, there was always something and she has had to fix it a few times. I would say her foils are pretty good (no bleeding) but she is excruciatingly slow. I stayed because I liked her and figured she would only get better and faster- plus she didn't charge much. I guess it's the devil you know kind of thing cuz looking for a new hairdresser isn't appealing either! It's too much to get into, but the last time I went in she did the color wrong. She forgets what she did before or just doesn't track it. Anyhow, my hair came out too light because she forgot to add the deeper color. She was apologetic and would have fixed it right then but after 3 hours I just couldn't stay any longer. I told her we could fix it later- but it ended up just waiting until I came back 8 weeks later. Which was today. I walked in today and she was downright hostile- telling me she didn't know I was coming and had to do someone else's foils and I would have to wait. She claimed that I was supposed to get back to her (???) The truth was I had texted her a week ago asking her if I could come in a day or so early- I asked her to let me know if someone cancelled so I could come in. I also said not to cancel my appt- because I really needed my color done. My roots are SO dark now, especially cuz she made my hair so light the last time. Nothing else came up so I kept my appt. But to my surprise, there was someone else in the chair and Jenna was talking to me like I had hit a puppy or something. I was actually sort of stunned at the treatment I got. I tried to get clear and show her my text (because it was right there in black and white DO NOT CANCEL my appt) and she cut me off saying she "wasn't going to argue" and if I wanted my hair done I could "just wait". She was so incredibly rude. I've been nothing but nice patient with this girl- and always tipped VERY well. She knew I was coming in but chose to double book because she had to cancel the other lady's appt last weekend. She messed up and then tried to blame me for her poor decision making and lack of communication skills. I missed an entire day of work by staying to get my hair done- then got treated very badly. At this point I feel like an idiot for hanging in with her for as long as I have. On the other hand, she did me a favor because though I can put up with so-so color and cuts, I will not put up with being treated like dirt, and I will be forced to look for another hairdresser that I can hopefully be happy with. Jenna is an ok hairdresser that showed promise- but in the end not worth it.

I'm so sad that I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my brows the other day. Usually, Gagan (G) does my eyebrows for me (and I'm always happy with her work). This most recent visit, another woman did my brows and I've been catching myself wriggling them in the mirror all the time because I'm just so impressed by how clean my brows look while also maintaining their natural shape.
