Small little coffee shop with a little seating inside and out . I ordered a cold mocha. They use some kind chocolate sauce, which just didn't blend very well, I could taste bursts of chocolate instead of a smooth consistency. They use paper straws , which just disintegrated after just a few sips , I felt I was drinking paper

I got this sandwich yesterday to go and it was SO DELICIOUS. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and all the ingredients inside tasted so delicious and fresh. I could tell a lot of love was put into making this sandwich and I would 100% come back again. Also the owners are super sweet and great people. They take the time to really get to know you and make sure you are happy with the food. Wonderful experience with lots of love :)

First time here, got lucky with parking and came in when it wasn't busy. I've had this place bookmarked on my Yelp, and finally got a chance to try it since I was around the area. Inside has a good amount of space but not enough seating for big groups. Anyway, things can be ordered for take out and be taken out to the beach nearby. Everything on their menu sounded so delicious, but I definitely wanted something hot. So I got the Sobrasada Sando with the nugget ham and iced latte for dine in since they had a few available seatings inside and outside. With this sandwich you can choose one of the proteins listed. I loved how all the flavors of this sandwich just paired so well. From the sweetness of the hot honey, the nugget ham has a little bit of juicy fat but the flavors on that has a slight sweetness too, and the mustard that they put on it balances out the sweetness. Also love the little cheese and pickled cornichons on the side. To me the cornichons also help balance out the palette with the little sourness. I see why they're one of the top rated sandwich spots in San Diego. I'll definitely be coming by again but I'll do a phone order instead because they mentioned how they can sometimes sell out... especially on weekends. And more than likely I'll be ordering two different sandwiches. Felt like one wasn't enough. Also, customer service was great especially with assisting on what's popular on their menu. I also should've asked to try a few of their cheeses that they had too. But that gives me more reasons to come back.

Probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and the flavors complimented each other nicely. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and only had to wait about 10 minutes, if that. The staff were super friendly. Cute little shop with great food!

It was by chance we came here. We went to a business nearby but it ended up being closed. We walked by this place and it said best cheese shop. So we went inside to see what it was all about. The gentleman inside was very helpful in helping us choose what to order. We got the SG cheese melt and the California wagyu Bresaola. We were not disappointed at all. The sandwiches had so many flavors in each bite. It was very enjoyable to eat. My favorite was the cheese melt. He warned us to eat within ten minutes before the bread gets soggy. I cannot wait to come back to try the different sandwiches. Inside was cozy and clean. Street parking. Located in La Jolla off of La Jolla Blvd.

I'm not local but I've had a few very lovely experiences with the charcuterie boards here. This is one of my sister's favorite places so I ordered a birthday charcuterie for my sister for delivery and the online pictures made me a little worried the presentation won't be as cute, but boy did these folks do a gorgeous job. Don't let the pictures on door dash deter you, it'll be great!

Fresh ingredients with some of the best cheese choices... yum. You can clearly tell that the people here put effort in making a good sandwich Highly recommended

We got there 30 mins before closing so there was no line, the service was really quick they had some leftover (still fresh) sandwiches. The actual ambiance of the place gives like mom and pop energy it isn't meant for sandwiches but my friend told me this is one of the best sandwiches he had. I got the California cheese and turkey and I got a lot of turkey and all the ingredients look super fresh. Normally I don't love mustard but I think it mixes in well, and the cucumbers and sprouts were great crunch. I really like how the bread has grains in it as well! Also, the cheese and mini pickle you get with the order were so good, mainly the cheese it was a little sweet- I also got the barbecue chips and they were flavorful and thick and crunchy, a little expensive they were 3.60 but everything was worth it overall!

My husband and I tried a mystery picnic that is set up in LA jolla. As part of this experience you complete clues that will take you to local restaurants to pick up items to your picnic! Small Goods was one of the places on our stop. And I'm so glad we got to try this place, they gave us a variety of cheeses that we took around the corner and ate by the beach. I believe they call this their summer beach box, which is totally perfect pick me up to take for picnic or by the beach. I'm really glad I got to try this place and will definitely be coming back to try more of their cheeses and other items!

the smallgoods side was three pieces of cheese, an apricot, and mangled pieces of salami for $6. I wouldn't recommend adding it to your sandwich. The meat was so thin and not complete slices. It was probably the leftovers or mistakes. the sandwiches were fine. Wouldn't recommend coming back.

Found this spot just passing by. They made the sandwiches crazy fast and they tasted amazing. I recommend taking them to the beach to enjoy them with a view

Delicious shop with great sandwiches and wonderful cheeses. I see why they are aways winning. I really like their veggie sandwiches and their cheese selection. The Prairie Breeze is a favorite. They gave me a good block of it when one of my to go orders was delayed.

Stopped in at Smallgoods Cheese Shop with a friend and loved everything we tried! We shared a Sobrasada Sandwich and a charcuterie board, and both were excellent. The sandwich was packed with flavor--the sobrasada had a rich, savory depth, and the crispy bread gave it the perfect texture and crunch. The charcuterie board was just as impressive, with a thoughtful selection of meats and cheeses that paired beautifully together. It's clear they really care about quality ingredients, and you can taste it in every bite. Cozy vibe, friendly staff, and delicious food--definitely a must-visit if you're into cheese, charcuterie, or just a really good sandwich!

How much would a platter for 20 people cost? I don't see prices on the website

Hi Irina. Thanks for that. Our typical pricing is $12 per person for cheeses and/or an additional $4 per person with added cured meats. But after 10 people we just flat fee it as $175, for our large, 18” platter which should cover 20 people. Just… Read more

I always take it straight to the beach because everything tastes better with your feet in the sand and front-row seats to the waves. This small European-style cheese shop is known for its curated selection and cheesemongers who actually listen. They follow my preferences every time: nothing spicy, no olives, no dried apricots, and always something sweet like jam or honey. There's never a hesitation or attitude like I've experienced at other shops. Whether I need a box for just myself or something larger, they customize it perfectly. Beyond their global cheese selection, they carry artisan charcuterie, truffle products, European crackers and breads, local honey and jams, boutique chocolates, and small-batch pantry items. I also love the little surprise chocolate they throw in. Thank you for always listening and creating the most beautiful, delicious boxes for me. Today was finally the day, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be! This "shop" is an enclosure in front of Macy's on the first floor of the mall. It was only moderately crowded today, but it's a small space and I could see things being crazy tomorrow. They supposedly offer thirty types of cheese, and I didn't count, but there didn't seem to be that many. In fact, I saw very few hard cheeses. But for everything they had, they were offering samples. How can anyone resist? There were some old standbys like Brie, but plenty I'd never tasted before, and I fell in love with the creamy Saint Agur. Despite the "Cheeses of Europe" name, they seem to be focused on French cheeses. They also had some drinks (not selling those, though) and butters to sample on bread, including a sea salt version with distinct, salty crystals. My friend just came back from Paris gushing about this butter style, so I was delighted to try it for myself. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, with most working out to around a dollar an ounce. It's more than I would typically pay for grocery store cheese, but far less than from a specialty store like Venissimo. Everything is pre-sliced and packaged, which will give true gourmands pause, but I'm not enough of a snob to be bothered. Purchases come with a little pamphlet of cheese recipes and information about cheese types. Credit cards are accepted. If you fall in love with any of the cheeses, they sell them at a number of Whole Foods stores in the LA area, but not in San Diego. So come while you can!
