This place is very cute and homey. It's like sitting in my own backyard...the porch. They have the cheese shop where u can go and sample cheeses and order cheese and meats but they also have several cheese and meat trays u can choose from if u don't want to think. The wines are good. The rose bubbly was my favorite, the cab franc was also good. Very nice afternoon to just chill and excellent service!! Reasonably priced wine. Will go back here.

Such a cute space and I love the dog friendly outdoor patio in the back. We came for an event but I've been wanting to check this place out. It looks like a little yellow house from the outside that is a bit easy to miss but once you come in it's a super inviting space. The outdoor patio has a good amount of seating and is very clean. We only had wine but they did have sodas and beer as options. They brought out charcuterie boards that were also delicious and very pretty. We will definitely be back!

Lovely little cheese shop in La Mesa. We went on a Friday for lunch and sat in their cute back patio. We had the place to ourselves until around noon when another party arrived. I hope they'll get more people. We ordered the picnic plate which was my favorite. We also ordered the cheddar plate, meat plate, and Bleu cheese plate. Evening was really good. I will ask for more crackers next time. We ordered everything online using their QR code. There was a nice lady manning the wine bar in the back patio. You pay for the wines separately. They had a nice selection.

We sat down for a drink and a cheese board, because you don't come to a cheese shop and NOT eat!!

It sounded good but we also weren't really feeling like going "out" and something that could be delivered or that we could pick up seemed like the better play. All the typical poke places showed up when we searched but none of them really sold us. Well, good thing I remembered that Valley Farm's poke game is strong... really strong. Believe me, I know that those of you who don't know Valley Farm will likely say "really?" when I detail that this sleepy little Spring Valley market kicks out poke as good as anywhere else in SD, but it's true. It's a sleeper of a choice but the quality and price will make you a fan, trust me.

Valley Farms Market is one of San Diego's hidden gems. From the moment you walk in, you can feel…read morethe difference. The store is clean, beautifully organized, and filled with high-quality products you don't always find at larger chain grocery stores. What I love most is their fresh selection, especially the produce, specialty items, and unique gourmet finds. Everything looks vibrant and carefully displayed. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. They also have a full butcher shop with everything you could desire. The selection is impressive, and it's wonderful knowing you can get high-quality cuts prepared fresh right there in the store. It adds such a personalized, old-fashioned market feel that you just don't see everywhere anymore. Another favorite of mine is their fresh-pressed cold juice blends, which I absolutely love. They taste incredibly fresh, and you can truly tell the difference in quality. It's such a treat to grab one while shopping. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It truly feels like a neighborhood market where customer service still matters. Whether I am picking up everyday essentials or something special for a gathering, I know I will find something wonderful here. If you appreciate quality, variety, and a pleasant shopping experience, Valley Farms Market is definitely worth a visit. I always leave happy!

The bread it always crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside (doesn't cut up the roof of your mouth) the mortadella is a very high quality with visible pistachios pieces throughout. The service is fast and friendly. I ordered bunch of sandwiches once and had them slice the subs in 4 and served that for a game night at home once. Hugely successful evening. If you're looking for a well balanced and delicious sub sandwich, go here. They do have outdoor seating, but I always take mine to go. We had a picnic with these subs once too. Husband and I split 1 sub - they are that big. Go and enjoy!

My wife ordered the drunken chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious. The vodka sauce and the chicken cutlet with the mozzarella was fantastic. They make the sandwiches on the spot so service is a little on the slow side but worth the wait for that sandwich. 2 stars. I went with their July special, which was a lobster Caesar wrap and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The wrap itself is $23 and this thing is tiny. The Caesar dressing is very one note and not very good. I couldn't really taste the lobster and there wasn't very much in it. I came here because I saw their post on social media and I will say the wrap they posted was about two times the size of the one that I paid $23 for. I think I would probably come back for one of their traditional Italian sandwiches, but I definitely would not get the lobster Caesar wrap again. It is way too expensive for what I got. The deli itself is a little more on the expensive side. For my wife and I to each get our sandwiches and a drink was $60 which is a little outrageous for a deli.

Produce: Most produce are fresh but I've also noticed some being old or close to becoming old. But it's always worth a search for some good ones when there's a sale and I"m always able to find some good produce to take home. I've seen worst at Zion Market. Meats: Mixed Reviews as well - the sales are amazing and the meat can be quite good. It's all Halal. However, for this weekend specifically - the smell from the meat section is horribly strong. I noticed it a couple weeks ago maybe? It seems like they didn't clean whatever is going on and it got worst with time. I love this market and I don't want them to go out of business. My recommendation is maybe they clear out the meats and give the whole department a good deep cleaning. Also consider implement clean processes to keep the smell away because it's really impacting what is being sold. It's off putting to take home meats that it has a funky smell.
