We experienced a lot of turnover at a previous school while our son was on the LMP waitlist, but now we know exactly who will be there and that he'll be well cared for and loved each day. It's not uncommon during a weekend adventure for our son to ask to share something he's doing with a teacher. He looks at his teachers like family and is always excited to get back to school each Monday. The activities and curriculum are great as well. Weekly themes tie the art, science, and dramatic play together. The activities are creative and exciting for the kids, and he always comes home wanting to learn more. Covid has presented many childcare challenges, and LMP has navigated the pandemic incredibly well. They have been clear on protocols, communicated well, and we've always felt that our son will be as safe as he possibly could be at a preschool. We appreciate how seriously they have handled the health and safety of our child over the past 2 years. We can't recommend LMP enough and will miss it when he moves to Kindergarten this summer. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Haley and her wonderful staff!

Our children have…read morecycled through each room at Marconi Montessori and every single set of teachers has been absolutely incredible- they are kind and warm, focused on helping our children learn how to interact and grow together. The dedication toward developing the whole child is evident in interactions staff have with children. (Even in moments when I unexpectedly show up for a midday pickup- this is consistent.) Watching the teachers/staff interact with kids is a masterclass in raising tiny humans- it's honestly shaped me as a parent. I truly believe that my kids are better people because of their time spent at MM. I feel deep gratitude for the staff at this school and the community they've built. In my experience, the director bends over backward to meet the reasonable (and sometimes unreasonable) needs and concerns of families- I don't really know of anyone who feels otherwise... and I do a lot of chatting with parents at birthday parties. My belief is that preschool is about little ones exploring the world around them and learning to interact with others (which is a big enough job as it is) so my focus isn't on academics, but I know that's a big question people have: My 4 year old is going to be entering kindergarten extremely well prepared. She knows her letters and letter sounds and can sound out words, and is adding and subtracting at MM! She knows about music (calling out, "Those are drums!" "That was piano!"when we listen to songs) and excitedly tells me about the seeds they germinated in class and how flowers grow. My sense is that teachers aren't pushing kids past what they're ready for, and are instead focused on building a love for learning, but that hasn't resulted in less exposure to pre-k and kindergarten academic content. My only rec is to get on the waitlist early because it's a long one.

I would think twice about this place…read more I had my two year old son on the list here and was told I had a spot in their two year old classroom. My son has autism though, and so they said I needed an aide or they would not allow him to attend. So I went through hell to get the aide set up. It took weeks and hours and hours on the phone and filling out paperwork. And then I went to tour the two year old class with my son. I told them I wanted him to be with kiddos his own age to have the opportunities to learn the skills other two year olds were learning. And everything was fine, but when I was leaving after the tour they said they had decided it was a good idea to start my son in the younger classroom, which they said was 18-36 months. Even though he had a spot in the two year old class? But then when I asked for the pricing schedule for that class, it was listed as 12-24 months. My son is two and a half. So I called back and said why are you trying to put my two year old son in a class that's not for his age when you told me there is a spot in the two year old class? And they insisted there were two year olds in the class. But when I pushed to find out exactly how many, I found out they were actually moving all of the two year olds up to the two year old class right when my son would start, so he would not have any kids the same age in that class. And they had given my spot in the two year old class away to one of those kids. So now I no longer had the spot that existed for him anymore. As if life wasn't hard enough being a parent of an autistic child. It's hard as hell. And then you have to deal with people trying to deny your kid the same opportunities as other kids. My son is a sweet, gentle little two year old boy, no behavioral issues, loves being around other kids, and he was going to have an aide for the time he was there at their insistence. And he needs the opportunity to learn the same skills other kids learn in daycare. If you have an autistic child or know anyone who has an autistic child, think carefully about which businesses you want to support and which you don't.

The washer however shook like an earthquake and didn't spin correctly, leaving the clothes dripping wet! I immediately called Appliance warehouse and they sent a repairman out in a week, they stated it was the soonest someone can come out to check it out. Mind you, I just had a baby and is recovering from a c-section. Having two kids under 2, I need to do laundry and can't wait a week. I was so frustrated! Repairman finally came out and ran a few cycles and stated we have to run it only on "normal" cycle. Ok....I should be able to run it on whatever cycle suits my needs, that's why there are different options on the washer. Days after he came out, same thing the washer was loud and shook again (on normal setting). I called Appliance warehouse again and it's the same story, I had to wait for days for a repairman to come out. I asked if we can get a replacement, and the lady who is tan and has long nails stated "no" the repairman has to try and fix it at least "6" times...EXCUSE ME?? Finally, after one last attempt, repairman came out again, and they washer now does not shake anymore but I am only able to run it on "normal" cycle, not "heavy or light cycle". I found out that all of their washer and dryers are all torn apart and rebuilt with reburnished parts (junky parts). Long story short, go somewhere else! You're better spending an extra $100-200 for a brand new set at Costco. I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE! Oh yeah, and they tell you to leave as "good review" to get a free month of warranty.

He found an issue that had somehow been missed by another HVAC company that had been performing routine annual inspections on our system. He was courteous, respectful, informative, and very genuine throughout the entire visit. He explained what he was seeing in a way that was easy to understand, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were comfortable before doing any work. We never felt pressured or like we were being sold something we did not need. Alex clearly takes pride in his work and in making sure the customer understands what is happening. After both experiences with Cronus, they have definitely earned our trust and will be the company we call moving forward.

My son went to Smallville for a short time before he went off to Kindergarten this year. It is very important to me as a single parent who has to work to leave my most cherished gift, my son. I felt extremely comfortable and at ease to leave my son with the loving teachers at Smallville. They treat all the children wonderfully!!!! I was very worried about leaving my son for the first time at school and the owner, Shannon made me feel relaxed. I always seen the teachers hugging and loving on the children. My son always asked when he was going back to school. He loved it!!!! He always came home with art activities, singing songs he learned, and he learned what he needed to know to go off to kindergarten.I highly recommend Smallville Preschool to anyone looking for a preschool for their child. read more

As the owner I am biased but.. In 12 years we have had one poor review and that is ok. Most people that leave the school(there are few) are because they don't want to pay tuition or their child behavior makes it hard to teach the other children. In the Parent handbook which all new families receive, states all of our policies. One cannot chase someone out the front door or classroom when they have 11 other children in the class to care for. It is not safe for either party. Let me state that we were the second school to let her know he needed more one on one attention. He was a really nice kid and I hope he gets the attention he deserves. Yes for once in 12 years our enrollment is low due to covid 19. Our other reviews will speak for themselves. read more

My son has been going to Smallville since June 2008. I could not ask more from a Preschool. The staff are loving, patient, encouraging, creative, and supportive. The kids gets lots of play time, healthy snacks, great art projects, and strong foundations in learning. The teachers really create a community -- a home away from home -- for the kids. I highly recommend Smallville -- it has a great small classroom atmosphere. They really care about the kids and it shows in everything they do. read more

My daughter and son used to go to this preschool since she was almost 4 years old and he was 1 year old. My daughter often came home with bruises with one serious injury that we had to go to the ER. The teacher was afraid of any responsibility and denied she saw anything. My daughter said that the teacher saw. She kept telling us about the bully but the teachers and director were very passive about it. They kept the bully at school and they seemed not to care about other kids' safety. read more

From school updates to safety measures to the daily activities. They always keep me up to date. I probably check the app too much but it is always nice to see when he eats, when he naps, how much he ate, and all the fun photos. Learning/Development: At A2O my son went from crawling to walking and even said some of his first words at A2O. They always have fun age appropriate activities, music circles, and outdoor play. Teachers: We love them so much, they are all very friendly and the passion for their work shines through. At the end of each day, they go over the highlights of the day or any of the milestones they are working on with our son.

This is one of long but please read for your baby's safety!!…read more I took my 4 month old baby to this childcare, because I had years ago taken my now 9yr old and had a great experience. My 4 month old literally went one day. I returned from maternity leave and felt confident I had made the right choice in care. The one day she went was her last. Just for context they do provide an app to track your baby's day, bottles, diapers and naps. My baby was in care for a 10 hr day. They charted two diapers being changed one shortly after dropping her off in the am, and one about an hour later and that was it. The last entry in the app showed her starting a nap at 1:18pm and then nothing. I was at work so at first, my thoughts were ok she's taking one of her longer naps usually 2-3 hours is typical. I got off at 4:30, arrived at the school 5:00 to find that my baby was not up. The teacher that was there was sitting in the front play room with the directors child on the floor. She hopped up really fast and ran into the side room which is the small room lined with cribs. The room was pitch black with an industrial fan sound blaring. She brings my baby out to me strapped down in a newborn size type of swaddle with big Velcro straps around it. My baby was strapped so tight into this thing her shoulders were forced towards each other. I was livid, I ASKED WHAT IS THIS, WHY DID YOU PUT HER IN THIS, THIS IS NOT MINE, I DIDN'T BRING THIS. The teacher says oh no it's ok, we use these sometimes. It's the schools. At this point the director comes out of her office looking like she'd been sleep, with a red face, creased, hair a mess. I directed my questions to her, why did you guys put my baby in this. She said I'm not sure, I'll have to talk to the teachers that were here earlier. She also stated she had to use one on her daughter or she wouldn't sleep at all. I've never had to use anything like that for any of my children, nor would I, especially since my baby can roll either direction. I kept asking why. She just had no idea what was even going on in the next room. I reminded her of the conversation we had before I registered my baby, that blankets, sleep sacks, and swaddles are not allowed to be provided because they are unsafe and pose an increased risk to the babies. Per California State licensing they are not allowed to use them. Fast forward, I came next morning, on my way to take my baby to the Dr to get checked out. Because she seemed weak and overly tired. The two directors Nicole and Meredith pull me into the office to apologize to me profusely. I reminded them of what we talked about and asked why. They told me that they were looking into what happened. I collected her things all but one sheet. They claimed she was sleeping on the sheet they had given back to me, but just couldn't find the other one. The diapers were given back the entire pack only missing two. I counted them twice. I filed a complaint with California State licensing. The claim was substantiated and listed as Type A violation. The worst type of violation a childcare can receive. Please do not bring your children to this childcare. It's not worth the risk to there safety and well-being.

They do not give support to staff who have a high needs child and sometimes don't even know that a kid is attempting to run out of the building. Furthermore they do not address problems with some of the children being physical towards staff and other kids. My husband went back to get my son's things and the staff didn't even know he had gone home for the day. The safety concerns at this place are wild. The director does not answer the phone or emails. Instead, they decide to scapegoat a teacher instead. I had brought up my concerns a few times but nothing ever came of it so I pulled my child. I really hope this place gets new leadership because those kids deserve to be cared by individuals who actually care about their job.

Fast forward to over a year later and she has been at DT for about 7 months in the infant room and we are so happy with our decision. The staff are friendly and provide great care and attention to the children. Even in the infant room they make sure to provide age appropriate structure and themes for each day and week and provide a wide variety of activities for the kids to enjoy. They utilize the parent app a lot so we have a good idea of what our child is doing throughout the day and a lot of fun photos. Most importantly our daughter loves it. She is wiggling in excitement when we are walking up and always looking around to wave goodbye to her teachers when we leave.

I work for the state and my coworkers told me about this place. after the first tour with the incredible director, I actually cried. this place was a breath of fresh air. it was so much better than my kid's previous daycare. the director was so loving to myself and my son. they have taken impeccable care of my son since the day he started. he struggled immensely over potty training at school. the director took so much time to work with my son one on one. she completely respected and saw what he needed to feel comfortable and made that happen. this school has a great app where pictures and notifications are constantly posted. they are always in communication about food that was or was not eaten, potty time, nap time, everything. and they are always just a message away with a very very quick response time. the first few weeks and even month of drop offs were so hard to see my son cry but I was always relieved seeing pictures within 20 minutes of him playing and smiling. it was the most comforting thing to me. I couldn't be happier that we made the change to go to this school. they have truly been a godsend to me and my family, especially my son. I would recommend this care facility to anyone.

It was the best thing ever. It was so aggressively adorable - there were bubbles there was one kid who said - gimme your money- you gotta pay for that! It was hilarious. Pretty sure I paid $5 bucks for half a cup of lemonade lol- If we had more cash we woulda gave it all to them. That was super fun. The staff here are great to the kids and let them do whatever within educational and safety reason and I'm here for it. It's actually the owner and the staff and I don't need to lists names- they're all really good to the kids and add so much love to the neighborhood- great job - I'd never take pics of kids that are not my own so no pics...
