Perfectly stocked store for the weekend
    Theresa Renee W.

I am a huge fan of Smart n Final. I grew up coming to all their stores with my me maw. This location has everything under one roof. I have an appointment at 10 am. This location always allows me to shop shy of my appointment. Let me begin by saying they provide parking for their customers. I'm sold ! Along with that, they have made it possible to shop within a 90-minute shopping experience. The store was highly stocked for the weekend and had everything I was searching for this weekends dinners. I have never been to this location. However, I will be a regular here as they had more items than my local smart n final. Every checker and hourly person greeted me and offered assistance.

First time here and have already been a couple times now, great location, the parking lot is very busy, there is a structure and very limited spaces outside. Large store once inside service at the register was slow but friendly staff. Large selection, very clean store, surprisingly no homeless outside. Would recommend this location and will return.

I love shopping at Smart and Final but yesterday I made a bad choice. The Pas Thai salad was expiring today and it said used by today and so i thought it would be a good choice for lunch. I bought it, prepared it, went to work, and boom, stomach ache, sour stomach , and sick as a dog! I will go back to the store but my advice to anyone is so t buy from the reduce to sell items they are low priced to sell them even if they are bad. Food poisoned from Smart and Final. I will go back but i will not shop those items unless it had 5 days or more to use and not 1 day or same day.

    Great Deal !

I have to give 1 star today. I waited in a long line and purposely bought something so I could use the restroom and redeem some Lotto winners . Strike One as their Lotto redemption terminal was not working. When I asked for manager assistance they would not provide it to me. Strike Two. The only functioning thing in the store was the restroom. My only reason to come back to this store. I purchased my Lotto elsewhere on this day.

I loved that this location Has a lot of keto baking supplies as well as dressings and condiments. I also was impressed with the produce section .. it was beautifully well organized and fresh .. and stocked ! The lower prices on produce caught my eye as well .. I was very pleased to find what I needed here .. I was surprised it wasn't packed inside . I also purchased chicken wings and they were so huge .. just to let you know I baked them for 40 min and they fell off the bone and super meaty I'll be back!

Last week on Wednesday my service animal dog who was in a bag that says service animal was asked to be put under the shopping cart because he is "dirty" and to have respect for other customers and their real babies by a woman as soon as we entered, didnt even get a greeting and she followed us around the store to make sure my dogs bag wasn't in the basket area of the shopping cart ., before I state todays experience I want to start by saying that I am aware of what cashiers job is- it is to pack and scan items ; but today at 2:30 pm we went back had him in his bag on my shoulder and he accidentally started choking on his leash inside the bag while we where waiting to pay in line , it was very obvious we were panicking and trying to save the dog ,I yelled does anyone have sissors The cashiers just said "no " finally I ripped the leash with my hands grabbed my dog out the bag . I look at the cashier who is helping us who had absolutely no compassion , kindness or role awareness for the situation he had sissors and a razor blade on him ( in is right pocket fully visible ) to my surprise this is the SERVICE MANAGER ? Bernardino , if he's that way with the customers that's a shame he's head staff and In charge of people and setting an example for his team . Definitely never ever ever coming back . While all this was an unexpected event I definitely think it was miss- handeled.

They have false advertisement on the items. The manager didn't want to adjust the price even thou it's been more then a month they been having that tag

Great job on bagging the groceries perfectly.

Every time I come to the store, the cashiers have absolutely no sense of urgency. 0%. They are slower than molasses. I never knew people can move that slow there like sloths. Yesterday I had an encounter with a employee and I noticed something very particular. She begged the groceries very well, and I truly appreciate that. Her name is morena.

Quick quiz- does this parking lot look like it is for Smart & Final? It's got Smart & Final banners all over the building and says it's free parking for 90 mins. Guess what? IT ISN'T. I went to buy $6 of grocery and ended up paying $17 for parking. BullSh*t Talked to the store manager, TEO GOMEZ, and he admitted that the signs were confusing because there used to be parking spots for S&F in the parking lot. But couldn't do anything about it. When I asked to be put in touch with someone he gave me a 1-800 number. I asked him for a contact of a person, he said no, and laughed me out of the store. Can I bring a civil suit against S&F to get the signs removed? TOO CHEAP TO REMOVE CONFUSING SIGNS- SMART & FINAL

Its cool they have a good variety of foods & vegitibuls. &..Fruit...,,, Only complaint the homeless & Transients stealing many produces from the store.. They have security... But the stealers don't care they are very bradilient.

The market had a huge selection of merchandise from Japanese snacks and beverages to grocery items, housewares, beauty products as well as some special and unique items. I really enjoyed how many options there were and the overall feel of the store. Visiting the store was a great way to end our time in Little Tokyo and we actually picked up a couple of items to bring along on our travels! Marukai Market is definitely worth stopping by while visiting the neighborhood! There are so many different Japanese snack foods. If you need to do some grocery shopping as well in the area for your hotel stay or are looking for something new to check out, this is a great place to stop by!

It's called Canyon Coffee, but the menu has a rotating selection of espressos, so I'm assuming. The cashier ladies are nice, a bit slow, but there's a seating area so you're not in a long line while a bunch of people wait next to you. They always close the hot foods early so if you need to customize any drinks or order a matcha first, be sure to go to the espresso station and then the cashier station, before purchasing groceries. Better than Lazy Acres/Bristol Farms. L.A. G&C blends in beautifully with the community the market with space set up for craft collabs and the holiday fair, and integrates nuances as distinguishable as Erewhon's, but defines its offering apart from other markets. It was so beautiful and intricately arranged that I was sure they painstakingly did this themselves. But, no, they got it at LA G&C and went on to describe all the wonderful offerings in such glowing terms that we decided to go out of our way to give it a try. And so, on what could be called a rare dreary day in LA, we made our way to the up and coming hip neighborhood now called Melrose Hill. If you haven't checked out the area, you should probably Google it -- this is a dynamic area undergoing restoration. The main developers aim to keep the character of old Los Angeles while attracting the latest and best venues -- cafes, restaurants, bars -- among them Los Angeles Grocery & Cafe. There is a large parking lot accessed directly off Melrose. When it is time to leave, you simply drive through to the side street exit. Easy! Look at my photos -- the place is barn-like, keeping its rafters from the original building true to the promise of the building owners, with lots of unique inventory and room to add much, much more. You will find things you don't see elsewhere. We snapped up a bunch of items to try, including a few of my all time faves: gnocchi, sunflower butter, and egg salad. I would have gotten the pistachio butter but it has sugar and I like my nut butters sugar-free. If we hadn't been pressed for time, we would likely have loaded the cart with more, so that means a return visit. I want these people to thrive, so please consider coming over here and while you are at it, check out the rest of Melrose Hill, just following Melrose Avenue farther eastward. It won't be long before the entire area is the best place to be in L.A.

Prices everywhere are going up so I wouldn't say this is the cheapest place to shop but for what you get it's not bad, and if you are looking to get a variety of what you need for Asian cooking this is a good spot for it. Service was quick and friendly at the register as this no frills and casual market. There is a parking garage behind the grocery as part of the mall but it can get crowded on weekends so if you're lucky you can find street parking but watch for street signs and some areas and streets are not in the best neighborhoods adjacent so be wary of your surroundings.

I asked her how things worked and she explained it all. The kefir/kombucha bottles are $4 for 16 oz and they have 3 of each on tap. I asked Marcy about one before realizing everything had a QR code and you can easily pull up the ingredients and descriptions/directions for each item. I'm getting away from plastics and this place scratches me right where I itch! They sell just about anything you can imagine! I was so impressed w the selection! They even have produce and fresh sourdough bread! The day old is 50% off and I'm so mad I was in a pinch and had to buy store bought bread, otherwise I would've tried it today. I can't say enough. Even the music was fire and I was shazaming and jamming. Shower gels, body care, non seed oils, baking mixes, laundry pods and things you see in bulk at like Sprouts, but the quality and sourcing seems to be better. Some items don't need jars and they sell paper bags for .10 each. I did a kombucha/kefir tasting. Marcy brought these steel bowls over. No waste at all! If you drink the POG kefir soda at Erewhon and love it, try it here! It's made w fruit and is noticeably better! And POG there is my fave. Just try it at Re_!!! So when I was checking out I asked Marcy about being more prepared and bringing my own glasses next time. They've thought of everything!!!! There's iPads and scales in the front of the store. They weigh your empty containers and give you a sticker with the tare weight and then subtract it from the weight at the end! Revolutionary! They add 3% for the employees. I should've added more. Marcy was amazing and worth it. I'm honestly not big on tipping everyone for just breathing but if all the employees are like Marcy, they are worth way more than 3%! If you sign up you get 100 points instantly, $1 = 1 pt, and at 200 pts you get $10! It's not hard to spend in places like this but it's beyond worth it. I keep seeing things about the harms of plastic and don't get me started on all the other crap in our food. I foresee this as a new staple in my diet and home. They even have cleaning products!
