I really debated on writing a review because I sure hate to be negative but after a two week experience with this company I just had to so that others don't have to experience the same mess we did. What started out as a great relationship ended badly. Richie the owner was on time when showing up for his estimate and spent quite some time with all his guarantees and quotes. He told me everything I wanted to hear and had the best price of all 4 of the painters that we had quote the job. He even agreed to match anyone's price. I offered him the job and he showed up on time with an estimated 3-4 days tops for the painting of my exterior. Day 1: I came home to find my hose on, tracks in my grass and all of my gutters and soffits were painted a different color than I expected. This was not discussed with me or approved. Richie later tells me "I went a shade lighter". I was not happy with the color. On top of that I asked about the color he had started putting on my home. He then preceded to in a fun playful way argue with me that my sample color and his paint color were the same. They weren't, but in the end he did agree to go back to the paint store and correct it. Day 2-8 it was one thing after another. If I weren't a stay at home mom I don't know how we would have survived. I have paint splatter on all my lanai furniture, cushions, pavers, roof shingles, driveway, garage floor, front gate, lanai doors etc. I asked him many times to cover things, lay down drop clothes and often found him painting with nothing under him. He of course claimed he would clean it all up but now that he's gone I am on day three of touch ups, scrubbing all my pavers, caulking and repainting all my lanai doors because all of his paint has peeled off (made him very aware and he kept painting over it claiming it wouldn't peel again) and trying to get paint off my furniture, gates etc. He spent 2-2 1/2 full days walking around fixing and touching up areas I had noted needed fixed or repainted. I was told and I quote "No one looks behind gutters" even though you could clearly see the old paint color by standing in front of the gutter. Even after all of this, I thought I just want to be done with this relationship and not go out of my way to post something negative until he took things one step further. Two days after we parted ways, my husband received a phone call from Richie stating he couldn't cash our check at OUR bank (which he didn't have an account with). After our bank and my husband told him twice that he couldn't cash a check that size at a bank he didn't have an account with he called one last time and cursed and threatened my husband. Please please do not hire this company. I really wanted it to work out but the amount of "fixes" I still have to do my own I wouldn't wish on anyone. Nor do I wish anyone the amount of babysitting and corrections. I will say that for a while Richie did try to fix mistakes and was very kind but towards the end it was just easier and less work for me to go back and fix everything then keep arguing with him over things. read more
