Hunt Brothers seems to want to compete with the big boys in pizza, so I thought I'd try ordering a full pizza from them. You can't do that through the website, though you can find the store and call them. I ordered a loaded pizza (everything on it) on thin crust, and got a fountain drink and a Chispas dessert with it. I went in this store once under its previous management and would not have gone back. Scary. But they have fixed the place up and it is very attractive and full of what you would normally look for at a convenience story. The update did not extend to the bathroom, which was a bit rough but I've seen worse at such places. The full size pizza is 12", but it's rectangular and I think they measure diagonally. It was cut into 16 little pieces (I think it was supposed to be eight, but that's OK). Their tiny pizza oven got it fully done and crunchy, which I like. For me it was a bit heavy on the banana pepper but YMMV. Cost is $11.99 and there are no coupon deals, so I would say for what you get it is somewhat on the expensive side and probably won't displace any favorites. But it was good enough that I wouldn't rule out picking up their single slices. Several were ready to go when I came in, as were condiments. The dessert was good, what you would expect for a packaged item and they had a very wide selection. The fountain was slightly sputtery but the drink tasted fine. Service was friendly. Kudos to these guys for taking washed up stores and making them reasonable places to shop again.

I believe it's fairly new, but I'm not sure how long it has been open. Although I mainly favor Spec's for my spirits, I've recently discovered Civic Liquor store conveniently located near my new place of residence. I must say it's an exceptional establishment and a rare find! The atmosphere is so friendly and inviting, and the store manager, Monica, is extremely welcoming and pleasant whenever I visit. She greets me with a warm smile and a happy "Hello!" each time, and I especially enjoy our small conversations. She's definitely a people's person, successfully engaging the customers and offering her assistance if needed. Furthermore, the pricing on the products really surprised the heck out of me! They are jaw-dropping lower than Spec's and other liquor retailers that I've patronized in the past. A bottle of Patron Silver is priced at $23 at Civic, but it's $30 at Spec's! Talk about competition! Also, they always have my favorite miniature bottles of Amsterdam Vodka in stock, which are so hard to find at other liquor stores. I can never find them anywhere else, except for Spec's, so this was surprising to me. Overall, Civic Liquor & Wine is the perfect establishment where you can find your favorite spirits conveniently stocked at conveniently affordable prices. As I previously stated, customer service is always on point and consistent. Also, the store is very clean, neat, and exceptionally organized! They have many of the big name brands in stock such as Crown Royal, Hennessy, Tito's, Grand Marnier, and many more. A points and rewards system is available, which you can sign up for at the register using your cell phone number. Parking is plentiful, but it's a shared parking lot with other businesses.
