There are like a billion stores in this shopping strip, so this liquor store is not an easy find. I found this place on google maps when I searched for liquor stores near the area that I was in at the time, and it came up as the nearest one. When I arrived, I had issues locating it because of the numerous businesses that occupy this shopping strip. However, when I finally spotted it, I was a bit confused as to if they were closed, open, or out of business. The place was dark and I could barely see the open signage even though it was on. When I grew closer to the place, I was able to see the open signage much better. It was on, but very dimly lit, as if it was on its last leg, lol. The windows are darkly tinted which is why I was confused as to if the place was open for business or not. Because it's small and surrounded by so many different businesses, it is difficult to locate, especially with the dark tinted windows and dimly lit open signage. The owner should make some minor adjustments to make it easier for patrons to find this spot, by making it stand out more in some kind of way. Furthermore, customer service was great! The cashier was an extremely friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth person. When I entered the doors, from the rear of the store where she was occupied assisting a customer, she yelled, "Hello! Welcome! Come on in!" I appreciate happy people because it encourages me to spend more money, lol. We had a lovely chat during my visit and the entire experience was pleasant. She was knowledgeable about many of the items and made some great suggestions on a brand of Vodka that she suggested for me to try. The store was very neat, clean, and well organized. I did not have any issues locating the Crown Royal, which is what I purchased , by the way. I also purchased a mini-size Reyka vodka that was suggested by the cashier and it was pretty nice and smooth. I rated this establishment five stars for cleanliness, tidiness, great organization skills, and friendly and welcoming customer service.

I had my thick sweater over my nose as a mask and the manager, an older/middle aged woman with dark hair comes up to me and my baby and asks rudely where my mask was as if I were a child who needed scolding. I was wearing a mask it was just attached to my shirt. It fully covered my face/nose and covered much more than a paper mask would have covered anyway. I told her I had one on and she said, in a disgusted tone, that was unacceptable. Then she rushes over to the girl at the cash register to talk about me and didn't realize I was walking up behind her. she couldn't even wait until I left! I confronted her and told her this was a mask and you probably shouldn't be talking about your customers at least while they are still in the store, before she rudely yelled that I needed a daintier mask. The girl at the cash register even laughed at her a little bit bc she realized how stupid she sounded. My first few trips were great, but my last few, not so much. For the first few trips, I received the customer service typical for a small, local shop. I was greeted, helped, we made small talk, and I was in and out. The last few times varied based on who happened to be on shift at the time. I'm always greeted and asked if I need help, but during those less than stellar visits, the sales person was distracted, taking a personal call via their earpiece instead of answering questions and addressing concerns. As always, I wish them the best, but I will likely be finding another small local spot to support my "girls day at my house" liquor needs.

My best interactions with him consist of me not disturbing him and then him telling me how much I owe. All of the other people that work there are great but too often it is Mr. Grumpy. My latest interaction with him was today when I walked in with a broken arm and asked him if he had a case of McCormicks. I usually get it myself but because of my situation, I needed help. His response was a grumpy "I have no idea". This is pretty standard for him if you ask him any questions. Even the people that work there refer to him as the grumpy old man. I asked him if he could help me get it to my car which was parked right in front, backed in with the trunk open. It would take him less then 15 seconds to step out and drop it in. His response was "I have customers so you need to wait". He had one person in there when I showed up who was still perusing and another who walked in when I asked the question. I do not know if he is part owner, but if not, you need to get rid of this guy or at least give him some customer service training. I will be shopping at The Liquor Shoppe across the street. Yes, it sounds uncanny, but hear me out. Our garage refrigerator went out, compromising hundreds of dollars worth of food for my family. Luckily it was still under warranty, but we'd need to stuff all of our food in large coolers for nearly a week until the manufacturer sent someone over. We went to Spring Liquor, right down the street from our home, because of their prices on bags of ice; my dad had gone there the night before. My goddaughter and I needed nine bags for the night. As we strategized how we'd muscle nine bags of ice out of there, trying to avoid two trips, the owner gave us empty boxes to carry them in, while giving us an extra set of hands for what ended up being three boxes--each of us carrying one. Maybe it's because of the many questionable experiences I've had with other businesses in the area, but this tiny deed had a lasting impact on me, and just for that, I will continue doing business there.
