I will start by saying I don't post many reviews, except when I have a horrible experience with a product or service and want to help others from experiencing what I have had to endure. This company started with professional service and recommendations. After 3 years of using this company in multiple residential and commercial locations, their service has declined. Upon hiring them to install a whole-home camera system (which they recommended as the best), 30% of the cameras started failing (they only replaced 2 of the 4 failed cameras). They abruptly stopped servicing what they sold and installed. The owner's response is, sorry, get the warranty parts directly from the manufacturer and do the work yourself. Buyer beware, don't hire this company unless you are willing to figure out the problems you are left with yourself. read more

Spent $160 and nothing was able to be done. I understand they tried and that wasnt their fault. Monitor problems, a replacement couldnt be found. I asked them to piece it back so I could use a second monitor and take what files I needed. Got talked into a flashdrive for another $20 so they could do it, and only got half of what was asked on the drive. When they arrived to drop it off, they didnt have the main hard drive installed. The one thing we had talked about. Had to wait while they installed it in the driveway. $160 seems pricey for someone to diagnose and say im out of luck. (im not inlcuing the $ it took for them to come to me and pick it up, that was an additional $30 which is understandable). read more

This place is great! The people are great and friendly, knowledgeable, and fast at what they do. I had a complete update and made faster. They knew exactly what i wanted and needed without having to buy a whole new computer and come to find out my computer is a really good one. The almost 600 5 star reviews say it all! I had large thunder storm last night and my monitor flickered, went off, came back on and went blue with no connection. I figured the mother board got fried. Its my work computer, so my melt down ensued. I was up early thinking I had to go to the Geek Squad. I've called them before and was unimpressed. Thank God I found SmarTekz on a Google search. I called at 9:02. Stephen picked up. I briefly explained my problem. He was extremely friendly, professional and clear on prices. Within 35 minutes of hanging up, he was at my house to pick up the tower, and had it back plugged in less than 4 hours later. That kind of customer service does not exist in SW Florida, stunned! I can't say enough about Smartekz and Jane's Peterson who does our work. Without fail, I bring my computer in and I have it back either that day or soon afterwards. Today I brought in my brand new computer at 9. The people at Smarteks are fantastic! My laptop died, and I mean dead. I thought I was about to have to spend $$$$ to by a new one. I brought it to Smarteks and James was not only able to get it running but was able to upgrade my too small hard drive. H e did it all in a SINGLE DAY (your milage may vary, some fixes are more complicated that others). All for a very reasonable price. I would give them 6 stars if that was an option. read more

My laptop of 17 years had major issues last week. Sussanah told me it wasn't worth putting money into it. I ordered a new HP laptop which I got on Friday, to my delight they were able to transfer all my documents and workbooks to the new one.
