Dropped off my Laptop with a concern that it was completely dead. Mikael took the time to fix it correctly. This included replacing the Mother Board. Even after multiple failed attempts to find the issue, Mikael persisted since I indicated to him that I had much data on the computer not backed up anywhere else. Since my computer was encrypted, we could not simply extract the data. After so many failed attempts to correct the issue, I am certain most people would have thrown in the towel and would have simply told me it was unfixable. Mikael went above and beyond to identify and fix the issues with my computer. Moreover, I know or a fact that he put in considerably more time and effort than what he ultimately billed me for. It is this type of work ethic and business sense that will make Mikael and this business flourish. These guys are the best!!!! The Apple store told me my phone had a bad charging port and could not be fixed, so I went to Best Buy and paid $1200 for a new phone. On a hunch Apple was wrong, a few months later, I took my iPhone 6s to these guys and within 20 minutes they figured out it just had a bad screen, which they replaced at a very reasonable price. While I was there, an elderly woman came in and said she decided not to proceed with something and she said they could keep her $50 (evaluation fee or deposit?). The owner told her it wasn't necessary and refunded her the money. What a great businessman!!!! Brought my tablet because it was not charging despite the icon stating it was. I had a brand new cord so thought it was the tablet. Turned out to just be the cord even though was new and the problem was fixed for $10.00. The service was quick and friendly but most of all honest. I could have been easily duped into an expensive fix. Will go back again and buy all my cords etc. here. read more

Like other negative reviews, SmartFix quickly and cheaply fixed a loose part on my laptop, and clearly told me that if the same part became loose again, he would fix it at no charge. Within ONE week, the SAME exact part did indeed become loose, and when I brought it to him, he said "no, this is something different" and said I would need to pay. NO WAY. And when we were shopping for a used iPad, he CLEARLY said he had a TWO YEAR warranty, which he said "is better than any other warranty you'll find." But after we bought the iPad, we asked him to write on the receipt that he has a two year warranty policy, when he smiled at us and said "Did I say that? My longest warranty is one year." Then before we could even respond, he said "I don't want to do business with you, just return the iPad and I'll give you your money back." When we went to return the iPad the next day (after erasing our data on it), he started harassing us, asking "what's wrong with it? Why are you returning it? I never told you to return it...." And then he refused to give us all our money back!!!! At first he seems like a very friendly and accomodating person, but as soon as something goes wrong or he realizes you plan to hold him to his warranty policy, he becomes very MEAN and NASTY and completely unprofessional. DO NOT trust any warranty he offers you!!! This guy is a SCAM ARTIST - BEWARE. read more
