After my Mac broke from a hairline fracture on the screen, I began an extensive search to get it repaired. Apple quoted me $700 dollars to fix the computer which did not seem worth it so I tried some local shops. Another nearby shop quoted me $500 to fix the computer but I wanted to keep searching. This SmartPhone Medic location got recommended to me so I went in for a quote. A price of $350 was given to me as the price of part and labor. I figured I would go with it. I dropped off the laptop and they told me it would be about a week. After a week, I got a call, picked up the computer and everything seems good so far. If the part ends up not working, I will definitely make an update but hopefully that does not happen. read more

I went to a competitor for 2 iPad Pro 9.7 repairs. Was told my charging port was a problem on one, but I'd have to wait OVER A MONTH for the repair. I tried SmartPhone Medic to see if it could be done sooner. They quoted me a slightly higher price but the repair would be done sooner. The lady I spoke with was kind and personable. She even told me iPads would be on sale soon if the repairs were too expensive. I ultimately agreed to the charging report repair. She tested the port and it failed the test. One hour later she called me to tell me the port was working and my iPad was at 24%. She thought it needed a hard reset (I tried that before I went for repairs. I tried 4 cords and 3 wall cubes I was desperately avoiding a repair). This post is mainly for their honestly. She didn't have to tell me my iPad was ok. She could've "repaired" it to my knowledge. Took my phone here on Saturday, September 9th, to replace a cracked screen. I dropped my phone off and went to run other errands. My phone was ready sooner than they had quoted me which was nice. The screen protector was a little off-center and not completely sealed around one edge and now my home button makes a really loud clicking noise when I use it. None of these things are a big deal. During the week I'm scrolling through my Facebook and notice that I've been getting updates from a Donald Trump page, a page which I know I've never "liked" because I keep politics off of Facebook. I brush it off and unlike the page, thinking maybe I liked it inadvertently. Today I'm going through my Facebook search history and I see that on September 9th there were a bunch of searches for different Donald Trump pages such as "Donald Trump innocent" and "President Donald Trump." I asked my husband if he had liked a bunch of Donald Trump pages just to mess with me and he said no. My husband reminded me that I had taken my phone into SmartPhone Medic that day. Bottom Line Up Front: whoever the tech was that worked on my phone went through my social media and who knows what else on my phone. That's a violation of my privacy and I'm sure it's not the first time that it's happened. If I violated privacy like this in my job I would be fired. If you value your privacy, don't come here. October 10, 2017 update: the manager and I have been working to try to figure out how to prove what happened with my Facebook account. I had already deleted my search history and unliked the Donald Trump pages, so we can't look at the activity log to see exactly when the pages were liked. I've sent a couple of messages to Facebook asking for help, but so far they haven't replied. I am very displeased with the screen protector that I paid extra for. It chipped and I now have a huge crack in the screen protector, despite the fact that I haven't dropped my phone. The only thing that is damaged is the screen protector and not my phone. If I had dropped my phone, there would be damage to my phone as well as the protector based on where the damage started. read more

I brought my iPhone 6s here to repair a cracked screen after I dropped my phone. I didn't bother to do my research first or check to see if other places would repair my phone at a lower price. They charged me $400 to repair my screen, where if I had sent my phone directly to Apple it would have cost $129. I don't work for Apple or SmartPhone Medic, but it seems to me such a blatant disparity in price cannot be explained away by labor or shipping or other incidental costs. If you have a cracked screen in the future (for an iPhone) I would recommend you NOT to go here and go directly to Apple instead; you could possibly save up to $270 like I could have. Also, unrelated to the price issue: in the process of fixing my screen they either left a hair or an air bubble of some sort under the screen right next to the home button. It's small so I don't notice it most of the time, but it's something to consider if you are thinking about bringing your phone here. read more

I was actually passing by and going to the paper shop next door when I decided to stop by here. I had stripped a screw in my iPhone and just wanted to see if they sold some screws for replacement. When I asked the employee at the desk if they sold them, she said, "Well we don't sell them here, but we can give you one for free." Awesome! The employee grabbed a screw, put it in my phone for me, and I was on my way. Very nice service. I brought my phone here to get the screen fixed. The first time around they got glue in my front camera so I had to take it back to have them get the glue out of my camera. Then the second time around after they got the glue out of the camera they didn't fully put the screen back into the phone assembly so the screen was not flush with the phone. I had a cracked screen that was SO bad I was scared to even bring it in. Not exaggerating. After I removed the tape that was holding the pieces of glass together, more pieces fell off and I could actually see the hardware inside my iPhone. I brought it in to SmartPhone medic, and they didnt even bat an eye. Promptly got my phone looking like new. Robbie was beyond professional and helpful. He pointed out to me a teeny tiny teeny spec that was still appearing on the screen, and I just laughed because it was actually smaller than a pin prick. I took my Iphone 4 here after I dropped it broke its back and the home button wouldn't work. It was only $105, which is much better then the $199 that Apple was going to charge. They were very nice and let me keep my phone there until today when I could get it and pay for it. They fixed my daughter's Samsung Galaxy S3 within 3 days for $99. It had a cracked screen & the LED screen inside was "wobbly & shaky" to the point where you couldn't even read a txt mssg. They fixed that too. It's like new again. Well worth the $99. We took the sim card out so she could put it in her older cell phone, while waiting for the Galaxy S3 to be repaired. We called each day to follow up on the status, (because they were waiting for a part to come in, which meant the phone could be ready sooner). Location was easy to find. I read the reviews on Yelp, so I took my wife's iPhone 4S there to get the cracked (chattered) screen to get it fixed. We left & went Christmas shopping and 4 hrs latter, it looks brand new. Only thing I wish is that they suggested that I get battery replaced, because I forgot that she has to charge it every night. Since they already had the iPhone taken apart, I'm for sure that it would have been a nominal fee & I would have replaced the battery also. Only cost $106 after tax for new screen. They always contact me to let me know how much a repair will cost, they always work very quickly and they don't make mistakes. This is a how a company should be run. I hate trying to work through my phone provider to get my phone repaired and now I doubt ill even bother getting insurance. WATER DAMAGE to iPHONE 6 PLUS: I spilled a bottle of sparkling water on my new iPhone 6 plus. It continued to work then the next day it started acting funny, freezing up, the camera, nor would my headset work. I could only use my phone on speaker. I was in town for a lawyers convention and I decided to look up a place to take it to because I needed a working phone. I took it on a Saturday and BTW they were open till 5pm on that Saturday (they're hours are posted differently on Google). Someone quickly helped me, had the technician look at it and assess whether they could save it. She asked if I had placed the phone in RICE, I hadn't. I hear that's a good trick if you can separate the phone from the power source, but if you have an iPhone and you lack technical skill (like ME) I call my insurance company OR NOW I take my phone to SMARTPHONE MEDIC FIRST! My ONLY compliant is that I wish she gave me a quote of how much the repair would cost. It was $139.00 total. DISCLAIMER...Your repair maybe MORE or LESS expensive. It all depends on the phone and the damage. I never got a breakdown of what that was for but honestly I didn't care! No one ever wants to deal with a cracked iPhone screen but it happens (even with a good case on it). I called yesterday morning, got a quote to repair my iPhone 6s screen and dropped it off by 2 (as they say you can get it back the same day if you do so). I picked it up at 5:30pm, good as new and, while I hate paying for something like this, thought the price was reasonable and appears to be the same as what Apple would have charged if I'd mailed it to them (my fault, so no warranty on that). This was my third time using them to fix my cracked iPhone screen. I would've given them 5 stars for the first two visits but this last one has been extremely frustrating. I had to return twice to the shop to try to get the screen fixed again, not because of a crack but because the touch screen stopped working and kept messing up. I took it back the first time and they said they fixed the touch screen issue & by that night I couldn't use a small portion of the left side of my screen & the calibration was off. So I tried to see if my phone would adjust & it didn't so a few days later I had to take it back again because of the same reason I took it back the first time. For paying $200 to have my screen fixed I expected it to be fixed correctly to be able to avoid going out of my way twice for something that should've been fixed the first time around. Luckily, the touch screen fixes were free because of their 90 day warranty but would advise to try to find some place else before coming here. read more
