After the rent tripled after the first year, I signed a new lease under my name instead of paying the increase. ( so we had to move units down the hall / makes zero sense!!!) The elevator was working when we signed, but seven months into the new lease it broke -- and it has not been fixed since. This made the unit practically unusable.. The manager, Hugo, was no help at all, and management offered no real solutions or compensation. I eventually had to move out. Terrible management and zero accountability -- renters beware.

Even tough I filled all the information digitally, the person who was at the front desk, had only received my info partially , and that I would need to fill all documents again. The weird thing about this, is that I actually saw my info on their screen , with my digital signature , when I point it out, she close the the window, on the screen and Insisted I had to do it again. After that she gave me the wrong code for my storage! I cannot understand what makes a person be rude , completely abnóxios and careless , 40 minutes to do a task!! Considering all was done more than once, I still received a notice on my email with a payment due higher than what was agreed, since it was suppose to be autopay , I called, and again, there was another problem, and they said it was not on auto pay, and that I had to pay a late fee. I tried paying, but the person said she couldn't take it over the phone , I would either have to call another number or do it through the link they sent me. Total disaster , no courtesy , bad untrained staff, I truly don't know how this place can have good reviews. Will definitely find another storage !

The storage unit comes in different sizes, and you can change later to a smaller or larger unit. It's very clean inside. And very helpful staff, the entire process didn't take long, but a few minutes, which was nice. They also have carts you can use to move items from your car to the unit, but ask that you return them to the area where you picked them up. But when I went back a few days later to move items into the unit, one of the elevators was down, leaving only 1 working. And you can't use the stairs, saw a sign that the opening exit would sound the alarm, which was a bit of a hassle, as a few other customers were moving stuff at the same time. No cart was available, which made the process a bit longer. But overall, I'm happy with deciding to use them.

I am horrified by our experience at Prime Storage North Miami. We had stored thousands of dollars…read morein fishing gear in a first floor unit since 2024. We returned on June 28, 2025 -- only to find expensive fishing and safety equipment gone. The front lock was untouched. Instead, the chicken wire ceiling had been cut open, which we later learned is a known and ongoing security issue at this location. Multiple units were robbed this way in 2024, and one tenant even posted surveillance footage and photos showing how the break-ins happened. The most disturbing part? Prime Storage knew. Their own manager is shown in photos identifying how thieves were exploiting the ceiling and doors. But they did nothing. No email alerts. No upgrades. No notification. We were never told our unit was vulnerable, even though it had likely already been hit back in December 2024. So to find out MONTHS later is negligent at best. We filed a police report and are pursuing reimbursement. We're also filing complaints with the BBB and the Florida Attorney General for negligence and deceptive business practices. If you're considering this facility do NOT store anything of value here. They will not protect you, they will not inform you, and they will not take responsibility when you're the next victim.

Jorge so kindly forwarded me videos of how the thief broke in time after time (10X in 2024 to be exact) without Prime Storage taking any corrective action whatsoever! I unfortunately cannot attach any of Jorge's videos to my review, but screen shots of the thief using a screwdriver to easily trip the magnetic lock & Jorge pointing out the exact point on the door the thief did so should be enough for any logical person to understand that Prime Storage in North Miami is not a safe place to store personal belongings...

I guess they decided to take advantage of that and they stole our brand new kitchen aid still in the box from our unit. When I asked who has access to our units they said only the person with the key fobs and to speak to my husband who is the only one with the key fob. Um duhh why do you think I'm calling to make a report. My husband is the one who discovered that the kitchen aid that belonged to his deceased step mother is missing. Please do not store any valuables here. Take a picture of what your storage looks like every time you visit. And take good pictures of what you have in there. When I stated I would file a police report & that the police would request access to the cameras they stated that they do not provide access to the cameras inside only the front door. How convenient when it's clearly an inside job. When I say pissed that's an understatement. I will be removing everything from this storage.
