They questioned me about my call and making the appointment. I said, okay, I'll do the senior level today with Alayna. Rather than provide good customer service or apologize for their mistake, she came over and said, "You know what, I'm not cutting your hair. I'm not going to do it." Their website is advertising services they don't offer and whoever made my appointment mislead me. I'm glad I didn't get a hair cut as the lack of integrity shown by the owner is enough of a reason not to give them my business. I miss the old Lemon Head!

I was asking about products and touching my daughters hair when she interrupted me and said, "Stop touching her hair like that!" and something like, "you can do that when you get home." As a person that spends a lot of time in salons in Durango, I was shocked, embarrassed, and felt unwelcome. For context, I could tell my daughter was upset, so I went over to the chair when the haircut was finished to check in after she told my daughter to run her fingers through her hair. Anyway, it was a huge bummer and we will not be going back there. It seems that a lot of people have good experiences there, but our stylist needs some lessons in costumer care.

With the virus lots of places are just opening again and getting things figured out in the area. So getting in and getting the attention you deserve was a bit of a concern for me. Lizzie's Beauty Shop was super easy to get into on such short notice. They allow you to book online, I actually contacted them through Facebook Messenger. They were super quick to respond. I booked with Kawii. She took the time to find out what look I wanted. And she absolutely nailed it! Precautions with the virus were taken above and beyond. I literally was the only guest in the place which put me at ease. (We both had masks on. The place was super clean. ) They do more than hair. Nails, eyelashes, makeup etc..
