Inside smash room

On their website, the address is in Pinellas Park (not off Ulmerton). The parking is limited so be mindful. SmashBox is an innovative concept and something different. This is a great place to blow off some steam or if you have a lot of energy. You'll definitely break a sweat after about 15 minutes of smashing. They have objections such as furniture, glass, plates, etc. The tools you get to use vary from baseball bats to golf clubs. One more thing to be mindful of is you may step on broken glass during your smash session. This wasn't a bad place, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The staff was friendly and the place is tidy. I wonder how often the helmets and gloves are sterilized though... My 3 stars are based on the fact that this just wasn't for me. If you're into breaking things or just have some frustrations that needs to get out, this just may be the place for you!

SOOOOOO much fun!!! My boyfriend and I did 30min and it was the perfect amount of time for 2! You can pick your own music, and then you get so many pieces of furniture and glass to smash! You can get a baseball bat, sledge hammer or a golf club and you can switch them out throughout your session. The owner is SO nice and my boyfriend and I had the best time! Highly recommend SmashBox20!

You need to experience Taylor Park in Largo- I always feel closer to nature here, surrounded by…read moreall the trees. Alligator look out and watching is a must in the low portion and the bridge. Do not approach them! There's also a disc golf course on the western side of the park with ample parking and easy access for ADA folks, like me! I do use this park to start my bike rides on the Pinellas Trail and that's another reason to just go out and enjoy it. It's right next to the Pinellas Trail and good to mention the "Rails to Trails Conservancy" here! So glad to be a small part! There's a huge playground for children of all ages and a place to eat a nice picnic lunch underneath a nice open shelter. It's well patrolled by the friendly park ranger team and they are always out cleaning and repairing the park. Largo PD and the PCSO drives through a few times a day and this keeps the place quiet and calm. Beautiful place to calm the soul! Just Breathe!

My SIL has lived in the area for years, and knowing how much I love exploring nature near and far, she recommended a visit to this gem of a park only 10-15 minutes from her home. PERFECT choice!! We didn't have a ton of time, but squeezed in a FINE early morning walk around the lake, and I confess I slowed her down taking TONS of pictures (as usual...) because even though it's far from "wilderness," it's a great spot to see lots of nature and wildlife (no alligators this visit!!) and get away from the hustle and bustle normally part of my visit down to the Clearwater area. So many beautiful birds!! There's a well-marked trail around the lake, passing by picnic areas, playgrounds, disc golf courses, and more. Wish I had more time to explore, but at least I know where to go to "decompress" next time I'm down in this area. Definitely worth a visit... Enjoy!!

The pool is also adjacent to a covered playground with astro-turf. The pool has two low diving boards and a large twisty sliding tube complex. There is also a very large baby pool. The swimming pool is a 25 yard pool, but during public swim hours there is no lane swimming as the pool is converted to a general swim area, sliding tube landing area, and diving well. The pool has men's and women's locker room areas with showers. This swimming pool is an older pool, and does not have a zero-depth entry option for disabled people. This year they just installed a wench-contraption (sorry, don't know what it is called) to help accommodate disabled persons. Public swimming hours are very limited, only being from 1-4 p.m. daily. The other hours are devoted to swimming lessons, masters swimming, and youth swim team. The pool is generally staffed by teenagers with summer jobs, and they are not always the most polite or friendly people, but I guess that is to be expected of teenagers. I enjoy having this pool in my neighborhood, and my kids take advantage of the swim team, but given the option we usually drive to Fossil Park pool because my kids love the high-dive there, or we drive to North Shore Pool so that I can swim laps while they play in the rest of the pool or in the kiddy splash pool area.
