The playground is completely gated in which gives peace of mind when you have more than one toddler to keep an eye on. So many different shady spots whether it's because of the trees or canopies or coveted playgrounds. My 4month old was in her car seat the whole time so I just switched her from one shady spot to another as the older two played. So many different things to play, climb and interact it. Plenty of benches / seating area for adults to sit at. I didn't need to use the bathroom but it is right in the playground which is also helpful. Will 100% be going back.

Awesome tucked away park with a basketball court, playground, walking trail and weight machines…read more As we were walking along the trail into the dense foliage, my husband worriedly pointed out that there could be homeless people who attack us. I had to say, but what homeless person would be able to find this place? We literally live ten minutes away and never knew this park was here. It's a great hidden gem that I bet the surrounding neighborhood loves (and I apologize to residents of this surrounding neighborhood for highlighting their hidden park.) The walking trail isn't super long, but it is a nice lap. I was going to time how long it took us to walk around it, but it started raining on us! I would hazard a guess at about ten minutes (take into consideration that my husband is a slow walker. I often refer to him at Baymax). There are also weight machines, which is pretty cool. I didn't get to use it since, rain, but I want to go back to test them out. There were a couple kids on the playground and one guy playing basketball. I can't say how crowded it normally is since everyone else probably took note of the incoming storm. Honestly, I like this park and will add it to our walking rotation.

We wanted to purchase a set for our grandson who is 23 months old. Todd definitely steered us in the right direction and never tried to over sell us. Todd was on time the day of delivery and set up. He had the swing set up in about an hour. Unfortunately for Todd, he had forgotten the slide in Sarasota and we were in Valrico. So, he drove the hour each way and never complained (other than kicking himself for forgetting). Play Tampa Bay is top notch and I would highly suggest purchasing from here if you want a play set for your child or grandchildren that is made in the highest of quality materials. Of course, it's Florida and it's blistering hot in the summer, so the playground could use a lot more shade. The park generally could use a lot more trees. The adult gym equipment does have a canvas covering, so there's some shade there. I like the little memorial to the old elementary school that was torn down in the early 2000s - the flagpole and part of the old wall is still there.

Visited here with an old friend and her family who used to live in the area. They discovered we had…read morenever visited it and suggested we visit there for a luncheon/cookout and birthday. Several of her family members and her five (5!) children. It is a beautiful place, well laid out, plenty of parking, gorgeous views and dedicated to all veterans, so a special meaning for me as a veteran. With beautiful, covered areas for grilling and eating, lots of paths for walking, jogging, and dog walking. A huge playground for children, which made for hours of fun for the kids. Plenty of parking all around the lake. A nice dock for feeding the ducks and fish, not sure if they allow fishing or not. A nice workout area with lots of different exercise equipment. Plenty of war memorials for veterans and families of veterans. Several areas of names of local veterans that served. And really nice and clean restrooms for after a couple bottles of water. Most impressive though was the placement of a combat jet lifted high in the air. A beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable park nestled right off a main road. Just watch the GPS carefully, it's a small road leading in. We missed it but the jet caught our attention and we turned about.
