I stopped in here to grab a crispy chicken, truffle mushroom SmashChicken, SmashFries and sweet potato fries. Now - one thing they don't warn you - the burgers - come out fast. The chicken - not so much. 20min of waiting on the crispy chicken and grilled chicken sandwiches, and nine other orders had come in, ordered, and left or started eating their own orders... at least they gave us a couple cups for drinks as we waited. The truffle mushroom SmashChicken - dry chicken, unfortunately, a little salty, and compared to pre-COVID, was very little truffle mayo on it (to the point the sandwich was dry and not greasy - so semi-plus). The crispy chicken - good, though salty. And the SmashFries and sweet potato fries were still awesome. The location is very clean, though, so props for that. It'd be very easy to be greasy, but they were pretty clean... I was standing at the table for a while, so I had time to check. They had the unsweet tea, but no green tea at the side, maybe less demand? So mixed bag - love the fries, the chicken not as good as before... and the wait was a painful point (wish they would've warned us it'd be that long or at least gave us an update every 10min or so). We been to several smash burgers three that I can remember Neptune Clifton and this location in total. Of all the Smashburger's this is by far the best one . The service here was great the seller was fresh . I think it was a little more carbonated the last time we went which I like better but at least it wasn't flat like other locations. We got the four dollar triple Smashburger witches three slices of cheese and two slices of beef. both of the burgers were delicious with the sauce being especially yummy. There was a misunderstanding in our order which I fully take responsibility for but even then the manager and the associate made it right with us which was very nice and very appreciated ! Firstly, I'll say that I LOVE Smashburger (overall)! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this particular location. I've eaten here three times already, and each time the burger just didn't taste right - something was 'off'. I order my burger with just cheese and ketchup, so it's not the fixings that tasted off - it was definitely the burger itself. FYI...these 3 visits all took place within a 6 month period, sometime last year, but I have no reason to believe it would've changed. I love smashburger. But I particularly like this location, the staff is friendly. It's always clean, food comes out quick and is fresh. I love the classic smash burger with smash fries. The bathrooms are always clean too. I went to another smash burger in Bergen country a few times and the place always had people's garbage on the tables, the staff needed to be more attentive and pick up the garbage around place. But I'm positive that when I come to this location it won't be a dirty mess. I would recommend this place to people. My friend told me that Smash Burger had opened a new franchise near his house and we did a boy's day out, stopping in here for lunch. I had the regular Smash Burger with Smash fries. The bigger size, I was told, is a half pound... More meat than I needed today. Same with the fries. The regular size was plenty. The added spice in the Smash fries was light and quite a refreshing change from the over salted offerings I'm used to. The burger comes with fresh lettuce, a splash of Smash sauce, raw onion, surprisingly ripe tomato, pickle, melted cheese and catsup. All stuffed between two halves of a fresh bun. The burger was better than I expected since I tend to be a purist - bun, meat, cheese, catsup and that's it. This burger is kind of a Shake Shack burger meaning a unique taste experience. We ended the meal with a shake - topped with whipped cream. I do not want to know the calorie count because it probably was more than the meal. Yeah, it was that good. The bill for the two of us was about $25 including the two burgers, two fries, two sodas and two shakes. I call that good value for a treat but could be a little pricy for a once a week lunch. They take your order and deliver the food directly to your table. Fast friendly service too. Their food comes on metal trays and baskets with real metal forks and plastic cups for soda. I like that. The shakes (we got them to go) came in tossable plastic cups with lids so that was all the trash (with napkins) we generated... But these too can be had in reusable cups. Cool! God bless this place, because everything was delicious! So my fiancee, her momma and I went out shopping today and we got hungry. We saw a Smashburger nearby and had to see what the hype was all about, as I have heard great things about this burger chain. My lady ordered the "New Jersey", which is a burger with bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, grilled onions, haystack onions (which are lightly breaded onions), lettuce, tomato and mayo on an egg bun. I got to have half, and we agreed that we loved it. The bun was so soft and tasty and the onions, ohh the onions! The bleu cheese hit you in the face, and that's how I like bleu cheese - fierce! The burger meat itself was excellent and the bacon was delicious. I would recommend this burger. My lady's mom ordered the Avocado Club burger and that was also delicious - it was more of a refreshing burger than the other two because of the avocado and the soft multigrain bun. It also had bacon, lettuce and tomato with ranch dressing, so it was somewhat reminiscent of a salad in a burger. I would recommend that if you're looking to eat a burger on the lighter side. I ordered the Spicy Jalapeño Baja burger, and it was pretty spicy, but very flavorful. This was my personal favorite because I was able to add a fried egg in the burger. As of sides, we had an order of fries, which were very skinny, long fries but pretty tasty. I had a chocolate Oreo shake and that was pretty awesome! The combination of chocolate and Oreo is so underrated. The service was excellent - they provided us with utensils on request, and the food came out very fast. This is one of those restaurants where you order and pay up front, they give you a number and you go sit at a table with that number. Then by that number, they find your table when they give you your food, which was like 5 mins later at the most - very quick service and very nice staff. Just one piece of advice to the customer - if you have a larger appetite, get that bigger burger - it's a half-pound of beef on what looked like a larger bun. In my humble opinion, Smashburger is the best fast-casual restaurant in America. Not because the fries are always crispy and flavorful. Not because of the ease of customization. Not because of the freshness of the ingredients in their burgers. Not because of the beautiful presentation of meal. Not because the customer service is always on point at every location I've visited (From Kansas to NJ). Yes, all of the aforementioned statements make this establishment great, but the reason it's the best is because this is the only chain restaurant that has an amazing vegetarian option! My New Years Resolution for 2017 to not eat meat is still going strong, but it's difficult to eat out with my fellow carnivorous companions.
