Can't say enough great things about this group of professionals Physical Therapists, Everyone is wonderful they make you feel like you are their best friends. Always know everyone names and ask you how you are feeling and did you feel any pain after your last visit. They make lots of suggestions on how to do some of the PT work at home . I had an endoscopy and came here for post-op therapy. I was there 2-3 times a week for three months. The therapists are working with you for an hour. They are all extremely knowledgeable in recovery for a plethora of injuries. My recovery was successful because of Caesar, who worked with me the majority of the time. However, all the therapists working here are true healers. I had major foot surgery on my left foot in February of this year and began physical therapy at SMC in June. My left foot and leg were still very swollen from the surgery in June and I was limping due to the pain. Dr. Shannon and his staff were able to reduce the swelling and through various exercises improve my balance and strengthen my left ankle. I am back working out at the gym and am no longer have pain in my left foot. I highly recommend SMC Physical Therapy. I've experienced debilitating neck pain, upper and lower back pain and sciatica pain for decades. I've completed RFA procedures, steroid shots and surgery. Nothing has been as effective as the physical therapy with Shannon at SMC Physical Therapy. Shannon is a great listener and very attentive. He asks thoughtful questions to specifically identify what type of therapies are required to reduce pain and increase mobility. I've continued at home therapy based Shannon's instructions and incorporated into my daily routine. I don't usually write reviews, but the outstanding level of service provided by Dr. Shannon and his entire office had to be acknowledged somehow. I went to Dr. Shannon with pain in my left knee almost one year ago, hoping that he would help strengthen my knee and improve its stability, as suggested by my orthopedic surgeon, and that's exactly what he did. Over the course of several sessions, he combined various exercises and techniques, paying close attention to ensure proper execution and steady improvement, and changed the exercise type and level of difficulty, to maximize the benefit I received. He always patiently answered all my questions and explained how each exercise would help me get closer to my goal. He accommodated all my requests and helped me push myself to achieve my goal. He never cut the sessions short and never wasted my time with useless discussions, as I had previously experienced with other physical therapists. He even held me longer in the office, to ice or heat my knee at the end of each session, and he always provided useful advice. My knee feels stronger and more stable now, even after almost one year since the therapy, and Dr. Shannon also helped me develop the habit of performing some of those exercises regularly at home, to ensure that the pain does not come back. He is an excellent communicator; he's very patient and answers all my questions thoroughly. I came into his office with a badly torn MCL, among other injuries. I was in extreme pain and could barely walk. I could not believe how much better I felt when I left his office that day. It was the first time in twelve weeks that I actually felt pain relief and hope!
