I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this office was extremely frustrating. When I scheduled my appointment, I provided my insurance information over the phone. I was later sent intake forms that requested my insurance information again, which I completed. Despite providing this information twice, I was told when I arrived that the office did not have my insurance on file. I then spent over an hour waiting while the office attempted to verify my insurance. The entire appointment ultimately lasted nearly four hours. Because I had another appointment scheduled afterward, I had to leave before my treatment plan could be reviewed. I was assured that someone would call me to go over it. That call never came. After waiting a week, I contacted the office and was told that they were working with my insurance company to determine coverage and out-of-pocket costs. I spoke with another employee the same day and was given the same information. A week later, after hearing nothing, I called again and was informed that no one had actually contacted my insurance company. I was then told that my treatment plan needed to be reviewed with me first before insurance verification could occur. However, the office did not have my treatment plan available to review during that call. At this point, more than two weeks have passed since my appointment, and I still do not have my treatment plan, cost estimate, or insurance information. I also requested to transfer my records to another location due to these issues and was told the office manager was unavailable and someone would contact me regarding the process. The lack of organization, communication, and follow-through has been disappointing. I understand that mistakes happen, but being given conflicting information multiple times and receiving no updates without repeatedly calling the office has made this a very frustrating experience. read more

They say they do not call and you have to call. Never in my life did I ever have to do billing for a dental office. The woman at the front desk had the nerve to ask if I wanted to pay my balance. I went to Smile Design dentistry for a toothache and found out the hard way how bad a dentist organization could be. They immediately wanted to sell me 8000 dollars of crowns and when I said no the women who was looking to make the sale threw her pen across the desk. They kept on me saying we can finance the 8000 dollars and what that actually meant that they were going to charge 16000 dollars because my insurance would pay half. Even when my next visit for the temporary crown occurred the dentist kept saying he wanted to put more crowns. Today when the permanent crown was to be fitted, they had me come in at 11:00 am and I waited for over an hour. Then the rude desk person told me to come back another time. I will look into filing a grievance with my insurance. I wish you could give a negative number of stars. Just look at the number of negative reviews All they want is your money. read more

Go anywhere else! They don't bill insurance correctly, which caused us to pay more. They collect money from you even BEFORE services are done. They hook you right up with Care Credit & rack up the totals. They didn't fully explain even the ballpark estimate for what we could expect to pay. Then, 3/4 of the way through a long process, our expected total went from $15,000 to $30,000, which prevented my spouse from being able to get a permanent set of teeth since we could not afford that. The front office staff and office/billing manager are not professional & tell you that the only person in the office who can help you with your billing issues is Jessie, the office manager. Of course, she is never available. If you do finally get through to her she pivots & gives you double talk to put you off. We had to be persistent for 29 days to try & get 3 types of refunds. We had to go to the office twice & say we would wait for someone to finally give us the 3rd refund. When we asked to speak to the doctor about our issues he had them tell us to come back (the 2nd time) & then we could meet with him & the office manager. When we went back, the office manager refused to bring us into the office for a meeting. She finally just gave us the refund. This was the single WORST medical/dental experience we have ever had. read more

I would never, ever recommend this clinic, it is the worst I have ever been to, they just treated my wife poorly and even hung up on her, they have a lot of lack of ethics and professionalism, the secretary doesn't know what she is doing, the hygienist is rude and I do not recommend the Cuban doctor Guzmán he is rude. My mother-in-law had her dentures done so badly that her mouth became inflamed. They want to charge my wife and me 700 dollars for putting in a bone that we don't need because according to the doctor the jaw is loose and it's a lie. What we need is to extract the wisdom tooth and nothing else. They wanted to charge my friend 3000 cash. I do not recommend smile design. I was seen 2 days before Christmas with a loose tooth. I was told it would cost me 7000+ insurance. I asked for a cheaper alternative and all I got was you won't like it. I asked 3 times and never told any other option. I felt forced to have to get a bridge I couldn't go toothless for the holidays. I then get billed another $800 and told that day I had to pay or I was not getting my permanent put in. I confirmed again that was all I was to pay and then get another bill. Administratively incompetent. Had an appointment in January and they charged me for part of the cleaning when they never have in the past. My insurance never changed that always covered everything and when I asked them about it they told me insurers typically never covered it. So they assumed instead of being proactive and making the call to find out. I called my insurer when I got home and of course they covered it so I overpaid for an item that I shouldn't have paid. Never offered the credit back so they took money for something they weren't entitled to. (Strike 1) Scheduled for a checkup in July. Called to say the tech wasn't available for that appointment and needed to reschedule. Okay, fine it happens. Rescheduled for 6 weeks later. Arrived for the appointment only to be told that we weren't even on the schedule... Thanks for that since I had to take time off work to waste my time for an appointment that someone couldn't manage to reschedule (Strike 2) Then... instead of realizing they made a mistake by not putting us back on the schedule and trying to make it right. I get told the next appointment is another 4 months away! (Strike 3) Thanks for nothing. This place was good for a bit but they must have changed their front office with incompetence. I am a new patient & needed new upper dentures,after going over finances and procedures,I procended. That was in November of 2024. Worst dentist ever. I went in for a polishing and they REFUSED to polish my teeth. Insisted I do this horrible deep cleaning thing, promising insurance covered it. Guess what? Insurance didn't. I ended up paying more than $400 for some BS procedure and they STILL wouldn't just polish my teeth. Not only that, but they kept billing me for the amount insurance wouldn't pay, telling me my insurance company "accidentally" sent the check to me and I needed to send it to them. Hahhahaha. That's a good one. When has a dental insurance company EVER!! "accidentally" paid anything to anyone, especially the policy holder. The most unprofessional dentist I have ever been to! I made a new patient cleaning appointment and they acted like I didn't even have an appointment. They took x-rays and then I waiting in the chair for over an hour! After waiting 30 min in the waiting room. The dentist blamed it on the hygienist. I accidently showed him gaps I was concerned about on the wrong side and he was drill happy and was like, yeah we can crown that. There was nothing wrong with that side. Btw, I never got my teeth cleaned. I needed to make another appointment. Sigh, okay, but now they are suddenly booked out and I could not get in for weeks. So, I made an appt. As I was out of town traveling a week ahead of my appt, they called me. I was busy so I didn't answer. Then I get a voice mail message that they cancelled my appointment. Seriously, how hard is it to get my teeth cleaned. I complained various avenues at their office and they were very rude and unprofessional. Of course, they already billed my insurance company. My husband went to this dental office last year. They supposedly took our insurance. After his appointment they never submitted the claim for the visit. In May he received a bill for the visit last year. He called and found out nothing was submitted with the insurance company. He then called this office and they gave him a run around. They supposedly submitted a claim and a check was sent by the insurance company to them. They claim they never received a check. The insurance company says the check has not been cashed. My husband called this office to tell them they needed to call the insurance company. The person he was speaking with told him he needed to call the insurance company and tell them they needed to call this office! I don't know what kind of scam these people are running but I would not recommend going to this office! The audacity of this dental group is tremendous. Cancelled my appointment 10 mins before the scheduled time as I was sitting in the parking. Indicated they have a staff member who was in the hospital and her interim coverage was not available, went home sick. (which is fine, not the issue) When questioning why was I notified that late, as I also have a job and I took time off for this, a Maddy person was bumbling over her words to tell me they left me "various" voice messages. I have one VM and it said nothing about rescheduling, it actually said they were calling to confirm. I had called back 3 times and no one responded. I even left a voice message confirming my appt since no one answered the calls. They have no sense of communication and importance of patient's time. Being kind and apologetic instead of making excuses goes a long way. I will definitely not be returning. They need training on diligence and communication skills. read more

If I could not start rate them at all I would. I first want to start off with the girl that sits in the front right side of the window. She has the nastiest attitude ever and should NOT be dealing with patients. Also, they need a Spanish speaker upfront because that is ridiculous. Anyways, as one person wrote below on 12/10/21, by Ryn G. Same thing happened to my dad. My father has a DSNP plan and a lot of things are covered. Everything was supposed to be covered by the plan, but he ended up paying about $270+ due to some "gel" thing for an extraction. So that's how it all started. He ended up paying w/e and they scheduled him for dentures fitting around 3/15. However, a WHOLE month later passed, we arrived at his appointment and his dentures weren't ready! A WHOLE month passed and they couldn't tell us that his dentures we not going to be ready in time??! He was travelling out of the country a couple days later! They said they called me the morning of his appointment to let us know, which is even more frustrating because it was the morning of! Unfortunately, we had to cancel his flight, pay for a new flight because he was not leaving without his dentures. Fast forward to 4 days after he got his first set of dentures and one tooth broke! LOL. Apparently it's made of sand. We called them to let them know, they said to come in to get it fixed, which we did. Fast forward again to last Friday and the same damn tooth broke again! WTF. So, we called them again, and they said to drop it off and that Wednesday, 4/20/22, at 10:30 we can pick them up. My parents speak spanish only and unfortunately, I couldn't go with them this time around. My parents get there before 10:30, and they waited 2 hours to be seen. My mother called me at 12:49pm to ask me to call the office to ask them what was going on. When I called the front desk frustrated that they hadn't seen my dad, she said it is because he didn't have an appointment and we had to "squeeze" him in. LIARS! My dad had an appointment at 10:30 because he was given an appointment card! I just wanted to write here that I called them back and advised them that I would file a grievance and complaint to my dad's medical plan because of the level of care we were given and of course, the materials this doctor is using is crap. read more

The experience was outstanding despite the process. Dr. Daniel Cocris is absolutely marvelous. He made the process of extraction tolerable. Totally recommended. There is one thing patients do not get often---A PERSONNEL PHONE CALL AT 7:30PM TO CHECK to ensure all was ok. Recommend? That being said, I have never had this experience before and I hope other people stay away from this company. I have a dental emergency (which I told them on the phone) they said alright come in for an appointment, so I scheduled it. When I arrived (and filled out all the personal info they request) the Dental Assistant (who was very nice) saw the Sores in my mouth and told me they wouldn't be able to see me for 4 months!! Apparently they take X-rays then wait 4 months to help a patient with an emergency. The most unprofessional part of all of this is how the lady who booked my appointment did not tell me this after I told her it was an emergency. 0 Stars. Unfortunately the truth is you probably have an HMO plan and are limited to your options when it comes to dental service if you are visiting this office. That was my situation, and the good reviews this Smile Design Dentistry location caught my attention. I don't usually write reviews, but I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I waited until I was completely out of their system so things wouldn't turn into a hassle, since you need their approval for everything, including transferring out of the office. On April of this year, I went one time to this location to see Dr. Tribble and never returned after my atrocious experience. I will never forget it. It started when the dental assistant handed me a paper for me to hand to the dentist when he came to see me. Before he came, they were examining my teeth and the paper accidentally fell from my lap. I was going to get it, but the assistant kindly picked it up for me. The only issue is that she touched the floor with her right hand when she grabbed her paper and then continued looking at my teeth (without changing her gloves), and put her right hand's finger in my mouth!!! I have never before felt so grossed out in my life! (And I have law enforcement experience.) Floors in medical offices are unsanitary because of what goes on there, especially a dental office where you have water spewing out of some patient's mouths and spilling on the floor. On top of that, these HMO doctors want to squeeze the most money they can out of you. I initially went to the dentist because of SEVERE PAIN I was having from a molar I already had a crown for. Long story short, years ago I went to a different dentist, and they were unsure if the tooth could be saved. He advised me to see a specialist. The specialist stated it was a close call, but could be saved. The pain was back years later and there was too much decay for the tooth to be saved now. Dr. Tribble, however, stated he would need to just give me a new crown and assured me that would fix my issue. I wanted my molar extracted because I knew it wouldn't make sense that a specialist called it a close call years ago, and now with more decay it could be saved... I also did NOT want to take ANY CHANCES with the PAIN I was experiencing. They just wanted more money and couldn't care less about my pain! I then went to see a surgeon since I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed, I figured he could help remove the molar since the issue still had not been remediated. The only problem is once you're tied to that office with an HMO, you need their permission for everything. I needed Dr. Tribble's permission in order to allow the surgeon to add the molar to the surgery. I'll never forget how I was in such horrible pain begging the office for him to approve and sign the form, so I could have my molar extracted and end the PAIN! He did not budge because he did not care about his patient's best interest. AT ALL. He probably didn't think much about it when he went to bed that night, but my sleepless torture persisted. I ended up having to go back to my dentist from years ago, out of town, to get approval for the surgeon to be able to get it removed. During all this delay, I was indeed miserable in the kind of pain I would not even wish upon another sentient creature. After a rigorous procedure extracting my 4 wisdom teeth and the 5th molar, the pain was finally gone after my recovery! The surgeon said there was an incredible amount of decay on the tooth and that I made the right call to have it extracted. He claimed it was impossible to save in that state. So my question is, why would I trust this office with my medical needs when it comes to my heath, if they do not even trust THEIR OWN PATIENTS!? I would look elsewhere for dental work if I were you. I do apologize if I ruined your hopes for this location and I sincerely apologize to the Doctor and staff for having to bring this information to light, as I do not like to bash other's professions. I just felt the absolute need to at least give someone else a fair warning about your location. read more

just had my hygiene (health mouth cleaning/prophy) done for the first time on January 29, 2020. My hygienist was Lisett. She is a major doll-face, caring, soft spoken, friendly, and the biggest one for me is PROFESSIONAL. Lisett was extremely gentle, but got the job done with NO mess or discomfort. I know these days the cleaning technique is done differently, therefore the tool used was loud and the noise is not relaxing by no means. I simply asked if she or anyone had head phones. Unfortunately, they did not, BUT Lisett did turn on her computer to a high volume just for me and I could not hear anything going on, but the tunes. I was extremely thankful and was able to sit and chill out some. My teeth looks and feel fantastic!!! Also, Dr. Elena B. Alexiev came into the room before we started just to say hello, and ask how I was doing, how my daughter is doing and how my day was. What dentist does this? I will most definitely be back.
