When scheduling my wisdom tooth removal I was told I would be under Anastasia and as well as when I got there on the day my tooth was going to be removed. About an hour before my removal they bring in pills and say this is a pill form of anesthesia (that is not a thing). My body doesn't take medicine very well and I always need a high dose of any medication I take and after the first set of meds he gave me didn't work and I was still completely awake he brings in more. Was not told the name of anything but was told it's Anastasia in pill form. I was awake for all of it because I was not giving any form of Anastasia and was given sleeping medicine. I am on sleeping medicine because I have ADHD and it take forever for me to sleep at night. The dr that prescribes my sleeping medicine stopped it and told me it sounds like you where actually overdosed on what ever medication they gave you and now my body goes back into that state of shock when I take any form of sleeping medicin. I called about 4 days after the surgery saying sum is wrong and was guilt tripped for 45 minutes. I can't drink Gatorade with the stomach issues and GERD I have. I went to the hospital for throwing up for three days straight and popping my stitches and the dentist said drink Gatorade. It settles Your stomach because of the surgery drink it is. Explaining I can't drink dyed drinks of any kind and especially not red he just kept saying drink Gatorade. Trying to word it differently and doing anything I could go maybe get him to understand I can't he just kept talking over me. Also later on told me it was sleeping medicine I was given and not what I paid for. In the parking lot the day I got my tooth out the receptionist was very rough and mad my wife needed help and more gauze because I threw up and grabbed my face n jammed my jaw shut. When my wife talked to her to ask a question she walked away and wouldn't answer her question if they have a throw up bag for the ride home. Terrible place and terrible owner. read more

Good thing I got a second opinion when this dentist told me my tooth needed to be extracted. He even warned me against listening to a dentist who claimed s/he could save the tooth by filling it and/or doing a root canal. But I got a second opinion and that dentist, doing further tests, confirmed that the cavity could be filled. Left me wondering why this dentist did not do the additional tests, which consisted of an x-ray and a cold test - nothing fancy - before concluding that the tooth needed to be pulled and replaced with an implant. read more

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Hariri and his polite and professional staff. I have spent 30 plus years without dental care because no one had the knowledge to see that I had a rare second nerve in my jaw that made my teeth extremely sensitive. Dr. Hariri saw this as soon as he saw my X-rays. I stopped getting any kind of dental work done because I couldn't bare the pain that came with such procedures. First of all I came early waited for 30 mins everyone else was cool except for the older Caucasian woman with a cigarette voice upfront. I told her I was told something else on the phone. She turned around, then tells me no one said that to me as if she was the one I talk to you on the phone previously. Like How do u know what someone else told me a week ago on the phone? So I ask was it you then she tried to dismiss me and send me in the back lmao no doesn't work like that especially if I'm paying out my pockets in order to get respect you have to give it you can't be going around accusing people of lying. All you had to was my apology whoever told you that must've been confused or wrong but this is what the situation is. She need to take her ass to get her some people skills in and learn how to talk to people I'm 40 years old. I may look young, but I'm not your grandchild. I left the dentist, couldn't even get paid because of her mouth. If she's going through menopause, maybe she needs a little vacation. read more

Avoid this dentist. My wife was scolded for needing to get a crown put in her teeth (their literal job), then told by the dentist that she needed to make better plans next time as she had to bring our 7 month old with her. We will obviously not be coming back. read more

I was told 10 months ago that my dental implant would be complete in 6 months. Spent 5,000 and still no tooth. The office told me it is due to the shortage caused by the pandemic. The lab in Switzerland is having delivery issues and a shortage of people. I just wish Dr Harri would follow up or assign someone on his staff the proactively follow up. read more

Only one actual dentist and they are a fairly busy office. For every appointment I've had here, I had to wait at least 30 mins before I was actually seen because the dentist was backed up with patients (I'm literally sitting in the chair waiting as I write this). The dentist himself seems to be very experienced and knowledgeable. However, he's a bit rough, definitely not the guy you want to deal with if you're overly sensitive. read more

I have had an absolute fear of dentists since I was a little kid and had a bad experience. I have had several molars and wisdom teeth break over the years that I be kept ignoring. That is until now, one was so infected the pain was excruciating so I sucked it up and made the appt. They got me in right away and were extremely sweet and compassionate over my fears. It ended up after xrays that I needed five teeth total extracted so that's what we did. Nice oral sedation made it a breeze to get through. I want to send major thanks to Dr Hariri and staff for making this a pleasurable visit. I will Definitely be back for continued dental care. read more

I saw that this dental office can repair dentures. I scheduled an appointment from PA to take my grandmother's dentures in, which dried out and the front tooth from the denture is missing. I waited for over an hour for my appointment. Apparently I had been scheduled for a day that the doctor had back to back surgeries. I never saw the doctor and my poor grandma had to sit without her dentures for over an hour and still is missing her tooth. Don't recommend scheduling here unless you're comfortable with sitting for an eternity. read more

I never thought I'd have a positive review about a dentist because I am TERRIFIED... but everyone made me feel so safe and cared about. I had 2 teeth removed with laughing gas. Krystal held my hand during the numbing and made sure I was okay the whole time. Any time I moved at all she asked me if I was doing ok & I was so thankful. Then Dr. Hariri came in and was also very nice and understanding that I was scared. He told me what was going on and he literally took like 10 minutes to remove 2 teeth!!! I was surprised when they said I was done. I cried my eyes out because I was waiting for some pain but I was so relieved and overwhelmed with emotion when they said it was all over. There was no lecture about my teeth, flossing, coming back, etc. I actually want to come back and that's a huge deal for me. I haven't been to a dentist in years due to anxiety. A follow up to my June 9th post since everyone asked me to let them know how my experience is. I went yesterday morning and finally get my cavity fixed and wisdom teeth removed at Smile Makers in Be Air right next to La Tolteca. The dentist himself thoroughly answered all of my and my husbands questions, gave him specific detailed instructions on how to care for me after my surgery and explain everything to me prior to starting. I was given a powder under my tongue which they said would make me feel sleepy and by the time I feel that I won't remember anything from that point on. I remember thinking I got slightly sleepy and my eyes a bit heavy, but there was NO WAY! that was going to get me through this procedure. Next thing I know I woke up at home in bed with my husband and kids telling me I need to drink . I don't remember them even laying my chair back no sound or feeling of anything not even heavy pressure like the dentist said I'd feel. I don't remember getting out of the dental chair, being rolled to my husbands car in a wheelchair chair, my husband helping me walk into the house, NOTHING!!!! I apparently took the gauze out of my own mouth to get a drink when my husband told me it was time to drink and I don't remember that either. My kids got me ice packs for my face right away and I've been using them heavily. They feel great on my face. I at some point asked my husband to put my hoodie on me because the ice packs made me cold but I don't remember that either. I've been taking medication as prescribed which is basic Tylenol a steroid, naproxen and amoxicillin to prevent infection, no heavy opioids needed and honestly I'm mad I didn't just get these teeth out sooner. I am uncomfortable but not in serious pain as expected, even to talk although I'm trying not to talk. I was told no food for 24 hours but mandatory 4oz of Gatorade every 15 minutes until I finish a gallon. That was super easy. I woke up this morning with cotton mouth but I got another ice pack sipped a few sips of Gatorade and wiped my lips and front teeth with a wet wash cloth and I feel great all things considered. My top right side with the cavity and removed wisdom tooth has no pain whatsoever it didn't from the beginning I haven't looked in my mouth yet but I'm not 100% sure he even truly removed it lol. The left side on top is almost pain free and hasn't been bad from the beginning as well. My lower left side is causing my the most pain but that is still more than tolerable and it was also the most impacted and the dentist told me in advance it runs directly into a nerve that could possibly be permanently numbed or damaged during the removal of that tooth although very rare. It's not completely numbed so he did great it's just much more sensitive than the other areas. Anyway I say all of this to encourage anyone who has been putting of a dental trip to go and to not only go but to go to Dr. Hariri at Smile Makers because he did any incredible job! Best dental experience I've ever had for such a big procedure. I've had cleanings hurt more than this at other offices - no lie. read more

I went Smile Makers several years ago and have been paying for it ever since. I needed some cavities filled on my front teeth. I was told that I would need crown veneerers on my front teeth, that insurance did not cover at a cost of $5,000. I told him I could not afore that and he said that he could do fillings, but that my teeth would be weak. He did the fillings, but not well. I decided to seek several other opinions about my front teeth and NO ONE said I needed the $5000 of work. My current dentist had to fixed the fillings that he messed up. They two were not properly filled and all of them were not smoothed down. Between the pressure for unneeded procedures and the poor quality of work, I would never go here again. read more

I moved here recently so I used online reviews to try and find a dentist for my biannual cleaning. I chose Smile Makers and was disappointed. One of the first things they did was notice I had wisdom teeth and claim that they needed to be removed despite the fact that my previous dentist of 9 years claimed they fit in my mouth just fine. The hygienist was rough, cutting my gums often, and had me hold the suction for her (why?). All she did was scrape and brush. She didn't even floss my teeth. While I waited for the dentist to come in, I had nothing to stare at except advertisements for all the dental procedures they perform. No TV or even interesting pictures to look at. When the dentist came in, he agreed with the hygienist that I needed to come in for additional xrays to get a quote for how much the wisdom tooth surgery would be and said I had a cavity that needed filling. When I asked to see the xray that showed the cavity, he said it was too small to see. He put the scraper in my mouth to point to which tooth it was, cutting my tongue in the process. So with no proof except for his unsteady hands, I declined an unnecessary filling. When I left, I didn't even get a free toothbrush, which may seem like a small thing but I believe that dentists should incentive patients to return. The whole time I was there I felt like they were just trying to get money out of me and it was not the right fit for me. read more

My teeth were severely damaged after an incident in 1976. After years went by my teeth began to crack across the front top and bottom. They were either pulled, repaired with root canals and crowns, a front bridge and later numerous dentures and dentists. In 2013 I was still having problems with the dentures that would always break. I then went to Smile Makers and little did I know that I was going to the best dentist anyone could ever want - Dr. R. Hariri. If he was my dentist from the beginning, I would have saved years of unhappiness and pain. Dr. Hariri said I needed bone build up in the front and the teeth that were missing should be replaced. He recommended I have implants because it was the best solution. At first, because of my past, I did not listen to him and ran into further problems. I then realized after a while that I needed to trust him as he was the best in his profession in knowledge and doing the job than any other of the numerous dentists that I have been to through the years. Dr. Hariri then started with the build up of the bone in the front and implants. He also helped me with the cost of the implants and after two and one half years I have implants top and bottom and the best crowns ever. I now have the best looking teeth and can eat anything with them like when I was in my twenties. Dr. Hariri is also a great guy with a great personality and have gseen how great he is with children and other people. He has a great staff of wonderful people. This dentist is all about making money. I went with one problem and instead of focusing on that tooth, he kept suggesting I focus on another issue that he had discovered from the x-ray. I wasn't ready to focus on that problem but instead he kept emphasizing that we take care of the other problem and ignore the trouble I was having with the one of my tooth. I think he just wanted me to come back and spend more money. He did the same thing to my husband. I would rather work with a doctor who listens to the real problems of his patients and respects his patients wishes. Instead of doing what was best for me at the time and what I had requested, he decided to ignore my opinion. When I decided to get a second opinion, his tone changed as if I had questioned his authority. I would not going to a doctor who treats his patients like a business rather than real people. read more

Waste of time. The following is a cut and paste from their web site, " If you want to take advantage of our complimentary implant evaluation or just want a second opinion, please call our friendly and professional staff." I went to the office and filled out a new patient form and asked if there was a charge for the visit to get an estimate on two implants. I was told the consultation was free but there would be a charge for any x-rays, yet they advertise for a "complimentary evaluation". This would be like a body shop offering free estimates and then charging you a fee since they had to jack the car up to see underneath it. They just lost a new customer since my family dentist is retiring and I will need another dentist for my families dental care. read more

The best dentist I've ever had. I had such a dental phobia that trips to three other dentists gave me panic attacks that left me uncontrollably sobbing. Unfortunately, I then had a dental abscess that required major work. I called for an appointment and told them that I had a phobia and asked to not have an exam. Dr. Hariri not only sat down with me and chatted about non-dental related topics, but put me completely at ease. I ended up needing a few extractions and he was exceptionally patient with explaining everything I could expect and making sure I was relaxed enough (a twilight sleep) to go through the procedure. What Dr. Hariri explained was exactly what happened and the entire experience was totally pain free for me, and pain afterwards was able to be managed with just ibuprofen. Dr. Hariri now has put together a plan to get my mouth back to perfect shape. Dr. Hariri is so great that even if I move to another state, I would make the trip back to see him. After 30 years of having traumatic dental experiences, I trust Dr. Hariri 100% with my dental work and I know that he will help me with limited discomfort to me and a gentle hand. Additionally, all staff and hygenists are friendly, calming and fantastic at their jobs. I absolutely recommend Smile Makers for all dental needs. read more
