About an hour before my removal they bring in pills and say this is a pill form of anesthesia (that is not a thing). My body doesn't take medicine very well and I always need a high dose of any medication I take and after the first set of meds he gave me didn't work and I was still completely awake he brings in more. Was not told the name of anything but was told it's Anastasia in pill form. I was awake for all of it because I was not giving any form of Anastasia and was given sleeping medicine. I am on sleeping medicine because I have ADHD and it take forever for me to sleep at night. The dr that prescribes my sleeping medicine stopped it and told me it sounds like you where actually overdosed on what ever medication they gave you and now my body goes back into that state of shock when I take any form of sleeping medicin. I called about 4 days after the surgery saying sum is wrong and was guilt tripped for 45 minutes. I can't drink Gatorade with the stomach issues and GERD I have. I went to the hospital for throwing up for three days straight and popping my stitches and the dentist said drink Gatorade. It settles Your stomach because of the surgery drink it is. Explaining I can't drink dyed drinks of any kind and especially not red he just kept saying drink Gatorade. Trying to word it differently and doing anything I could go maybe get him to understand I can't he just kept talking over me. Also later on told me it was sleeping medicine I was given and not what I paid for. In the parking lot the day I got my tooth out the receptionist was very rough and mad my wife needed help and more gauze because I threw up and grabbed my face n jammed my jaw shut. When my wife talked to her to ask a question she walked away and wouldn't answer her question if they have a throw up bag for the ride home. Terrible place and terrible owner.

But I got a second opinion and that dentist, doing further tests, confirmed that the cavity could be filled. Left me wondering why this dentist did not do the additional tests, which consisted of an x-ray and a cold test - nothing fancy - before concluding that the tooth needed to be pulled and replaced with an implant.

It was obvious to me that she was trying hard to be fast as well as careful as she set up tools and equipment and chatted with me. Afterwards, Dr. Fishman had an adjustment to make in her routine that will save time and effort in the future. Before my retirement I had occasion to observe many "busy professionals" criticize assistants. I was so impressed how, in the most gentle, polite yet serious and non-intimidating manner Dr. Fishman accomplished this, that I felt compelled to mention it here. However, I was disappointed to discover that Dr. Sirius informed me that the amount of work I required might exceed my dental coverage, which could result in additional expenses. Despite expressing my concern about surpassing my dental coverage, his team continued to schedule appointments for me to receive treatment, even though it was clear that I had surpassed my limit. This ultimately resulted in my incurring a debt of over $700, which left me feeling disheartened. I believe that Dr. Sirius and his team had the responsibility to inform me clearly and transparently that my upcoming procedure would not be covered by my insurance. As a result, I was left feeling as if I did not matter to the practice, and I now have a new dentist who prioritizes open communication and always informs me if a procedure will be covered by my insurance before treatment. I…read morehad no intentions of leaving a review, but I received a letter in the mail today telling me that I'm know longer allowed to be seen at the practice unless it was an emergency. I have not been to Dorsey Family Dentist since June of 2024 and I had no intentions of going back. There were many issues with the new dentist that took over the practice. There was a lack of communication, billing issues and multiple visits to correct issues with my night guard and crown/implant. The old practice (Dr. Cook) would have did it correct the first time. Again, It is very strange that he took the time to type a letter to inform me that I could no longer be a patient and I have not been to this office since 2024.

I called and advised I would be 10 minutes late and as a result no one gave me a tongue lashing. Due to them being so understanding, I'll make sure I'll never be late again. I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist right away. With a smile might I add. There was a touch less thermometer that checked your temp to at least try to weed out sick people. I turned in my new patient paperwork and waited maybe 3 minutes before my new hygienist called my name. I was led to the back where I was made to feel like family. They required I wear a mask until it was time to get my teeth cleaned and were very very clean. I was treated well by my new hygienist and dentist. Both made me feel very comfortable. The feedback was awesome along with my teeth cleaning. Needless to say, I'll be back in 6 months and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new dentist. There was plenty of parking. The receptionists at the front desk are polite. as well as his dental assistant! The office is very modern and professional looking. I have received 3 emergency FRONTAL crowns, 1 root canal and Zoom Whitening, under his care. He is extremely gentle and has a very warm bedside-manner! After visiting, I always receive a follow up call that evening, or the next day, from Dr. Pattanashetti directly! I was initially terrified of going to the dentist, but Dr. Pattenashetti truly has magical hands!!!! His work is extremely precise, PAINLESS and done swiftly. He listened to my history, performed and thorough examination, explained concerns and next steps in a clear and understandable manner. He didn't try to get me to consent to unnecessary treatment, as some dentist have in the past. He met me where I am and just a all around pleasant and professional dentist. I am a veteran, and at times using care in the community can be subpar. But I am excited to have been referred to this dental office because I will be receiving high quality care!

Sorry but I have to update this review. This practice has an issue with the support staff. The last…read moretime I was in for a cleaning I saw Dr Bakir and the appt went fine. This time not so much. The receptionist kept calling my Carolyn even though my name is printed on all the electronic forms. This is really frustrating. I unknowingly was booked with a technician. Not only was she overagressive with use of a huge steel dental pick around my gum line and scraping areas that were sensitive she was heavily pregnant and kept putting her stomach on either my shoulder or head during the exam. That is totally inappropriate to touch a patient like that. Also the last time I was there for a repair (I had a weird chip on my front tooth) Dr Bakir fixed it with something called a film and not bonding. It literally looks clear. That was also inappropriate. I probably will end up scheduling elsewhere next time.
