I would strongly advise anyone against visiting this practice. While initially impressed with Dr. Pattanshetti's bedside manner, his recommended treatment plan seemed overly aggressive. I ended up getting a second opinion, and the other dentist confirmed that my diagnosis was significantly overblown. They also discovered that a crown I had done here wasn't fitted properly. Dr. Pattanashetti has been my dentist for almost 10 years and every service he has performed has been exemplary. He has skillfully taken care of root canals, crowns, veneers, and cracked teeth, and his hygienists deliver the cleanest mouth in my experience. All of the financial information is clearly explained and discussed prior to any treatment. He will fit you in quickly for emergencies and always follows up with you after every procedure. This office treated us horribly. They allowed us to fill out forms, pay money, and took us back to the dental chair but kicked us out when we didn't have a mask. I was there with my son. We said we would wear one, we just didn't have one on us. Instead of explaining their policy and rescheduling us- as first-time pts, they told us to leave and said we had an attitude although we kept saying we would wear one we just didn't have one on us (because you don't need them anywhere else). I read all these reviews about the office and the great staff, but we didn't see it. There was another returning customer there who was told to leave as well. read more

Get a second opinion!! It will save you thousands of dollars! I first visited Dr. Pattanashetti in June of 2018. X-rays were taken and I was told I needed 11 crowns. I was in pain so I agreed to have 2 crowns put on my back molars. $3,000 later I had 2 new crowns and was still in pain. Apparently the damage was deeper than originally anticipated so the nerve in one tooth had been exposed. I was told that the pain should subside between a few weeks and a few months. Fast forward to the day after Christmas... I woke up in EXCRUCIATING pain. The office was closed for the holidays, so I ended up going to see another dentist and getting an emergency root canal. It had cost me substantially less to get the root canal so I decided not to get the remaining dental work with Dr. Pattanashetti. My X-rays were sent to the new office but were of poor quality (possibly do to compressing the files). I had new X-rays taken. The dentist was astonished... After a thorough examination and cleaning, I was told I needed 4 fillings. 4 fillings!! As opposed to 11 crowns!! My second opinion literally saved me upwards of $10,000 dollars. I was in absolute shock. Had I continued treatment with Dr. Pattanashetti, he would have completely butchered my mouth with unnecessary dental work. In my opinion, he is completely negligent. DO NOT GO TO Dr. Pattenashetti. This dentist perform a crown back in August 2020. The crown broke in half while eating a piece of lettuce. My current dentist told me that my insurance will not cover repair his shody work because it is within 5 years. So now I have to pay the entire $1,500 for a new and better crown. I have been going to Dr. Pattanashetti for over five years now and have been very satisfied with his professionalism, expert training, and attentive interpersonal skills. Due to the failure in obtaining quality dental work from prior dentists, I experience plenty of dental needs and have had many dental experiences. Ever since switching to this practice, I have relied on Dr. Pattanashetti's advise--this approach has worked out very well and I expect this to continue. I tend to have a lot of questions and Dr. Pattanashetti takes as much time as necessary to explain everything as well as address all of my curiosities and concerns. He is terrific about educating patients on their options and recommending the best treatment plan. He is also really good about getting back to the patient in case of after-hours dental emergencies. Dr. Pattanashetti even goes the extra mile by calling to check up on the patient after every procedure--from a filling to a crown--to make sure all is well. In another sign of commitment to the patient, Dr. Pattanashetti is highly mindful of the cosmetic appearance of the work and even sent me to the dental lab where the otherwise highly visible crown would be prepared so they could actually sketch out the exact coloration necessary to have the teeth match precisely! (The lab guy told me that very few dentists go through the trouble of doing this.) The office staff is friendly and helpful. This practice has the option of nitrous oxide for those particularly nervous patients--but with Dr. Pattanashetti 's calm demeanor, I have found this largely unnecessary. Though I have moved out of Dr. Pattanashetti's office area, I plan to drive an hour each way to continue going to his practice. *Validity Statement: Please note that I have moved around way too often in my young life, and unfortunately I have been forced to constantly seek out a new dentist once a year for the past 10. I have had way too many hands in my mouth (other than my own), so I've experienced my fair share of dental offices, etc. As a new client, my first visit involved an initial examination and annual cleaning. Dr. Suresh actually sat down with me and had a 15 minute conversation about all things "my mouth." He has a wonderfully pleasant personality and is great with people. He gave me great advice and counsel regarding a potential bridge, and answered all of my questions clearly. Once they took some x-rays they transitioned me to a dental assistant for the cleaning. She was equally polite and efficient. While she cleaned my teeth she shared her observations, asked thoughtful questions, and gave me advice on how to enhance my dental care. By the end of my visit my teeth were clean, and I had more information for better dental care. What I Liked: - Beautiful office with ample parking. Plenty of windows and light. Didn't feel like a dental office. - Staff was talkative, friendly, and supportive. Everyone was committed to making my visit great. - Dr. Suresh was friendly, honest, and skilled. Our society often makes the dangerous assumption that any "Doctor" has certain social and industry-related skills. Dr. Suresh is as personable as he is medically competent. - Educated their clients. I felt wiser after engaging. - Free stuff. At the conclusion of the cleaning they gave me a bag with a toothbrush, sample mouthwash, floss, and coupons. Nice! - Dr. Suresh called me later that day to ask if I had any other remaining questions from my earlier visit. I have never experienced this extraordinary effort in customer service from a dentist before. What I Didn't Like: - My dislikes aren't specific to Dr. Suresh, but more the experience of visiting any dentist. Poking, prodding, etc. Dr. Suresh's office was easily the best dental experience I've ever had. I look forward to making him my primary dental care provider, and I'm eager to share the results of more extensive dental work in the future. Clearly this office represents what any private firm should do to be successful in a hyper competitive industry: Try harder and treat their customers with sincerity. Great experience!!! read more

I found Dr. Pattenashetti about a 1 1/2 ago, via Goggle. He is by far, the BEST dentist that I have been to, in my adulthood!!!!!!! His office is easily accessible. The receptionists at the front desk are polite. as well as his dental assistant! The office is very modern and professional looking. I have received 3 emergency FRONTAL crowns, 1 root canal and Zoom Whitening, under his care. He is extremely gentle and has a very warm bedside-manner! After visiting, I always receive a follow up call that evening, or the next day, from Dr. Pattanashetti directly! I was initially terrified of going to the dentist, but Dr. Pattenashetti truly has magical hands!!!! His work is extremely precise, PAINLESS and done swiftly. I'm so happy I found Dr. Pattanashetti's office. After a visit to a sad little dentist office the year before, I had to find someone new but I was so nervous b/c I've had hellish dental experiences in the past. FIRST, I have to say I went with him because of Yelp reviews! Woohoo! Thanks, y'all! Before I even visited, I was already thinking I would like this guy. He'd invested in a decent website and actually responded to my inquiry himself! The person who helped me with my appointment was super friendly so that made me feel better about going. I rolled up in there and I knew right away that his staff was happy - you could just tell. I don't know why that matters to me, but it just does. The office is huge, modern and clean and every exam room has floor to ceiling windows! Ok, the view is a parking lot...lol. But still! I saw a hygienist first for x-rays and then met Dr. Pattanashetti. He was so nice and made me feel confident that he knew what he was doing. Unfortunately, I had to get a crown. Awwwwws. I was so so nervous, I was about to cry. I think the whole staff knew that. They were so nice and gentle. Ok, needles hurt no matter what. But still. I was sure Dr. P's big ol' man hands were going to break my jaw, but no! He was gentle and thorough. He gave me time to relax and basically cheered for me the whole time. Dr. Pattanashetti has been my dentist for about 15 years. I had different insurance for about a year in that time and I was so happy when I was able to return to MY dentist. My husband used to hate the dentist, but he doesn't mind seeing Dr. P. He's informative and about preservation. He's good with my kids too(and most kids hate the dentist). Beware of sneaky no show fees. I made an appointment and went to the office and was told that there was no appointment in the system. Then they changed the appointment without my permission and then charged no show fees. Also, the dentist lacks knowledge of latest dental research findings. I really wanted to like him, I have been going to his office about 3 years. Everything had been ok, not great, just ok, but really didn't want to find a new dentist. I went in for a cleaning and X-rays today and had a terrible experience. I have never had a professional be as rude as he was or speak to me as sarcastically as he did today. Every time I asked a question about something he would get extremely defensive and respond with a sarcastic remark. He told me multiple times that I could find someone else if I didn't trust him. I wasn't that I didn't trust him, I just was trying to understand what was going on. The way he spoke and treated me was completely uncalled for. One of the most touching things to me, was that each time I've been to him, he calls me later in the day to make sure I'm doing well & that my experience in his office from start to finish was a good one. How very professional & impressive in this day of doctors who don't even seem to listen! Several yrs. ago I was involved in a serious car accident & as a result I experienced major dental trauma. Dr. P. is the ONLY dentist I would even consider to restore my teeth. AND, restore them he did. He was able to salvage 3 of my 28 teeth & gave me 25 porcelain crowns that sparkle like diamonds. For those who are queasy out there {and I know you're there!} he gives a needle you don't even feel!! Norma assisted chair side & kept touching my arm to console me the whole time I was there. Read all of your lovely reviews, checked to make sure he was in my insurance network and badda bing badda boom. I'm excited to have a new dentist. Now I just switched jobs and my dental insurance just kicked in but I hadn't gotten my card in the mail, I figured no problem I can still make an appointment and between now and then my card will come. I've done this before it shouldn't be a big deal. When I call up the receptionist tells me she won't make an appointment unless they have all of my insurance information verified up front. I explain the whole thing and say I will call before my appointment and give her all the information, no go. I say I'll sign up as self pay. no go. Honestly she didn't care. Dr. P's office, staff and him as a person are very welcoming, and this is a good dental office if all you want is your teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, if you require actual dental work, this is not the place to go. I suffered a great deal at the hands of Dr.P and I can honestly say the work I received from him was the worst I have ever received. I have since found a reliable dentist that does quality work in the Baltimore area, and am slowly having the "work" that Dr.P did corrected....slowly, painfully and at the cost of my pocket book from all the time missed at work, dealing with insurance, and having dental surgery to correct his errors. BEST DENTIST EVER! Ive been seeing Dr. P for 8-9 years now and I recommend him to EVERYONE I know. When Ive called at night and left messages He personally calls me back the next morning usually before 8am. After you see him and have any dental work done again he will personally call you that night (or the next morning) and see if you need anything, have any questions etc. He's friendly, remembers details and has a way of putting you at ease. He will explain exactly what he's doing as he works on your mouth (unless you don't want to know) I like to know because I cant see whats happening in there lol however my trust level in his work is through the roof. I called the emergency number last night because my Crown came off that he did for me.He said call the office in the morning.I said ok fine I will do that.So Dr. P called me this morning and said I owe 60.00 fee fro broken appointment I said thats no problem I will take care of my balance when I come in today.Dr. P said NO you have to take care of it first with a credit card.He also said that number I called last night is emergency only!!!! I have been a patient for about 5 years and the behavior he demonstrated today was unprofessional and unforgettable. People will remember and amazing and horrible things and my last visit with Dr. P was HORRIBLE. The dental hygienists employed by in his practice have always been friendly and warm and very competent however Dr. P really made me question his motives, sincerity, and moral conduct as a oral care giver. When I first started receiving care from Dr. P, we discussed braces for cosmetic reasons. He described the process and mentioned dental implants as the preferred next step after a period in braces. Well after 2 years, I decided to take the leap and get braces, however I chose to have another orthodontist manage my braces and still received general dentist oversight from Dr. P. I increased my visits for cleaning as he suggested and we continued to have friendly an professional dialogue. Closer to the time of my braces being removed, we began to discuss next steps. This time Dr. P's recommendations were very bridge focused. I was a bit shocked, but since I trusted him, I figured there had been some really cool advancements and that he was advocating in my favor. After a bit of back and forth with my orthodontist and Dr. P, I was a bit unsure of the best next steps. I understood all the pros and cons of each, but I was hoping that after my braces were removed, Dr. P would be able to give further guidance. Instead I received very short and ambiguous answers, frustration, and a sudden decline in the interest of what was best. I mean in prior conversations he was so pro implants, but then became pro bridge. As a patient I was confused. I was seeking his professional advice. Long story short, I arrived in his office this morning for my bridge consult. The receptionist asked if I would be paying the full amount today. When asked the full amount she said $4K. I immediately said I was not prepared to pay and that no one informed me when making the appointment of the price or the payment. I was not even sure of my final decision. I eventually met with Dr. P and he makes a comment expressing his disdain for patients accessing stuff on the internet (excuse me but I think pictures are appropriate when discussing cosmetic dentistry). He showed lack of interest in the 1 picture I brought as a point of reference. I then ask further about the bridge process, material, lab and once again question having a bridge done in the front of my mouth and and shaving 4 good teeth. I genuinely wanted to get his professional objective insight. After discussing, I admit to him that this and other conversations have left me with reserve to move forward and then he totally loses his composure and goes into speaking with me as a parent would a child. I was totally beside myself. He removed his gloves, tossed them in the trash and aggressively pushed the chair into the work station and left the treatment area. He did however let me know in a very direct manner that I disrupted his day and how he was going to have to work through the lunch hour and I messed up his appointment when it was already a short week. WOW! It was so harsh, I turned to the assistant and asked if he always became so short tempered..she said no, but unfortunately I could never return. His actions made me rethink the whole situation and begin to ask why he was advocating for a bridge so adamantly. After putting pen to paper, I am convinced that it was all due to $$$. Had I had him oversee the life of my braces, he would have received payment, but instead he simply received the traditional payment for cleaning. Had I chosen the implants, the oral surgeon would reap the financial benefit and once again he would be left with minimal reimbursement. But had I chosen a bridge, he would reap the financial majority. I am sad it ended this way, but I will always remember how horrible Dr. P treated me and because my life has been dedicated to clinical economics, I fear his treatment advice was all motivated and charged by dollars not by what was best for me as a patient. His office then failed to submit the claim to my insurance company for THREE YEARS!! Then he came after me for it. Terrible dentists. Only in it for the money he knew I needed a root canal yet insisted on performing surgery to put permanent crown on my tooth claiming that will fix the problem of my aches . I went back up the office to talk to him because I still continued to have swelling and extreme aches a week after this was performed and he told me He can refer me to another dentists who can perform the root canal which basically means I have to pay for a new crown when he should have referred me in the first place. i have been a patient of dr pattanashetti's for years. he is wonderful. not only are the appointments on time and the girls at the front desk are friendly, professional, and knowledgable, but the hygienists are thorough and gentle. dr pattanashetti himself spends time with each patient, explains everything he is going to do before he does it, and is incredibly gentle and friendly. he is also great about answering any questions i might have about my dental care and always makes a personal follow up call to check in and make sure i am okay after any procedure. he always asks how my life is going, and we chat about our kids. he is funny, very nice, and just a great guy overall. i always recommend him to everyone who asks if i know of a good dentist. he is the best! read more
