I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I had made an appointment months in…read moreadvance and received multiple calls and texts to change my time. Two days before my appointment I replied "sure" to a text and didn't realize I had changed my time that conflicted with my also pre-scheduled VA appointment. When I contacted them to cancel my appointment they said they would charge me $75 for a late cancellation. I had to cancel my needed VA appointment as I can't afford this unnecessary fee due to their inability to maintain their scheduled appointments.

My wife went in there for a routine cleaning earlier this winter. They did not give her the cleaning and said she needed to get a root canal and sent her to a root canal specialist. We went to the root canal specialist they sent us to the root canal specialist said she does not need a root canal and that she needs to be seen by a periodontist. We made an appointment with them at the main doctor's office to see their periodontist. When my wife arrived the periodontist saw her and said that she should have had a cleaning 3 months ago when she was originally scheduled and proceeded to question her about why she didn't have a cleaning. The Perry odontist then told her that she needed to go have a root canal. My wife told her that it was the dentist in that office. Her partner who had said she couldn't have a cleaning until she had seen a root canal specialist. The periodontist did not communicate with the other dentist in the office nor did they read the records sent over from the root canal specialist saying that she needed to see a periodontist. When we made these statements to the office manager she got incredibly frustrated and rude with us. My wife got me on the phone and I explained the situation once again and asked why there wasn't any communication between the dentist, the periodontist, and the root canal specialist before the appointment and why they were questioning why my wife hadn't had her teeth cleaned and trying to send her back to the root canal specialist. To put it mildly. This whole situation was incredibly frustrating and we were traded quite rudely. We proceeded to make an appointment with them to get my my wife's procedure done with the periodontist. They said they needed to run the insurance and we said okay to them to that. But we wanted an estimate without insurance because we were sure our after reading our insurance the insurance would not cover special procedure by the periodontist. We followed up when we hadn't heard back what the insurance had said we also once again stated that the insurance we had reviewed on our plan would not cover this and we would like a estimate. They said they would have us one in another week. They hadn't heard back from the insurance and we said we'd like to cancel the appointment unless we get an estimate before the procedure. They said they would follow up with the insurance and they said they would get us an estimate. My wife called back on the day they said they would have the estimate the following Tuesday. But they told her that she needed to contact insurance at that point to get pre-approval. When they already said they were doing it 3 weeks earlier. To say the least, this place is poorly run. The office manager does not do her job. There is no communication with dentists inside the office nor is there communication and coordination of care with outside offices even if they have referred you to them and then sent your records back to them after they ran the procedures that they were asked to. If this isn't the only option for you and your network, don't go there because the quality of care from the dentist is terrible. The teeth cleaning is fine. They did a great job. The technicians are good but beyond that I would say this practice is poorly run since it has been transferred over to the new ownership and if there was a way to give it zero Stars I would. We have never seen such horrible care from any sort of medical practice. We were already unimpressed after the practice was transferred over to new ownership over a year ago with the minimal amount of time the dentist would see you during an appointment. It was not impressive and it was already on our list of things to find a new provider and this horrible care sealed the deal

When it was discovered the the source of the pain and sensitivity was a gap in between the crown and the gum line (later I found out that that indicated the crown was too small/didn't fit properly) she sent me a letter of discharge - without any warning or conversation; I simply got a letter in the mail. I found a new dentist shortly after who demonstrated to me that both crowns in fact, were improperly done and would need to be redone - and one tooth needed a root canal at that point. I requested communication with Leonardi and a refund several times. I got neither. I brought the issue to the NH Dental Society; they do peer reviews when there's an issue like this that can't be resolved by doing to the dentist directly. They requested her participation two times; the first she ignored, the second she declined. My son also had dental work that was not done well and continued to have pain and that our new dentist had to tend to. There were also other issues such as Keri-Ann at the front desk being very unapologetic and refused to itemize a bill when I asked for one; a few moments later another front desk staff easily printed it for me.

Had one treatment did not like the charges on the bill as most were not covered by insurance especially the one for $77 oral Hygiene instruction which was 2 minuets of showing me how to brush my teeth (this was always done whenever I had my teeth cleaned by the hygenist with no charge) and another one for $20 for carries risk assessment and documentation with a finding of high risk??? They also said I needed a tooth pulled so I did, not sure if it was necessary. Last appointment was for an evaluation for what she knew what I needed from the initial evaluation I had. One more charge not covered that's when I became wary of what was going on and questioned myself as I did not have gingivitis the year before when my teeth were cleaned. I cancelled the rest of my appointments as I was already out over $600 and if stayed with them would have been out over another $600 for something I didn't need, I just went to another dentist and had my teeth cleaned and was told I do not have gingivitis and I didn't walk out $600 poorer. Seems to make up unnecessary treatment so she can pay for her fancy equipment. So just be aware of what they are charging you and telling you what you need. Was going to report to better business but can not find them as a member

So this review is long overdue but I just recently found out about the situation as it has been…read moreover 10 years since I went here. I went here when I was 16 for braces because I had a "snaggle" tooth on one side of my mouth and was super self conscious about it. The rest of my teeth I thought were fine but just really wanted to fix that one tooth. After some begging from my parents they agreed and brought me to get braces. Things were great at first, I had to have a tooth pulled because my mouth was crowded and we couldn't get that one tooth where it was supposed to be. No big deal, got the tooth pulled and then got the braces put on. My mom had made it very clear to Dr Mehan that she did not want my teeth altered at all besides you know the braces being put on and them straightening out. I think I only had the braces on for a little over a year, but after about 6-7 months my smile was beautiful! I loved it. My teeth looked awesome and I was very confident about my smile and was excited to get them off because lets face it, braces are not very comfortable, and figured since my teeth looked straight I should be getting them off soon. They ended up saying that I needed a couple more months which I thought okay no big deal I've made it this far. I remember a visit where they were in my mouth with some type of equipment which I assumed was like filing off some glue off some braces that had moved or something, I don't know I just went along with it because Dr Mehan told me it had to happen and again I was 16 so I trusted him to know what he was doing. A couple months later I got my braces off - how exciting right! Nope not that exciting. I noticed now that on the right side of my smile it was not straight, it was straight in the front but one side of my smile went up giving it the look that i had a crooked smile which my teeth were not like this before. I brought this up to Dr Mehan and he showed me that from the inside of my mouth looking up at the teeth the looked straight, I told him them being straight wasn't an issue my smile was clearly going up on one side. He suggested he put some hooks on the back teeth of that side and we would put rubber bands on it to try and "help pull my smile back down", which never ended up working. Ever since I've been self conscious of my smile. I recently brought it up to my mom that I still couldn't understand how I went from having a beautiful smile a few months prior to getting my braces off and then it all of a sudden be crooked. She informed me that Dr Mehan HAD FILED DOWN MY TEETH on that side, without permission of her and she had confronted him about it the day that he put the hooks in the back to try and "pull my smile down". My mother is not a confrontational person and wanted to protect me from being more self conscious than I already was as a young teenager so she never told me about it until recently, which I wasn't really pleased about I really wish I had known and I wished we had gone through with legal action as he went against my parents wishes AND FILED DOWN MY TEETH! So now I have to look into getting caps put on my teeth or something in order to fix my smile which costs a good chunk of cash that I do not have so probably won't happen for a while. I get that there are a lot of great reviews about this place but please just be careful and make sure he doesn't file your children's teeth down without your permission.
