Lol. - I've been to the best dental practices of cities like Beverly Hills, Honolulu, Boston and even places over-seas like Munich, and this one is my favorite by far. I can confidently say that this is the most advanced practice in the area with the best tools, technology, and knowledge. First let me review the actual dental office: When I walked in, I immediately felt safe and at home. It's a professional office that looks like an adorable big house on a safe, well manicured street in an easy to find area. (With plenty of parking) and inside it looks like a home really rooted in family values. The reception desk is big and relaxed next to a homey waiting room lined with windows. The dental chairs are private, and they have instant x-rays, water picks to get your teeth extra clean, and the kindest warmest staff helping their patients feel comfortable. Anything you might need, they have thought of it already. I have sensitive teeth so I was offered numbing cream for my gums before I started my cleaning. - there were even kids having a fun time at their appointments, and they had toys to pick from at the end. Dr. Elizabeth Spindel is kind, warm and positive too. Like I have known her forever. She made me feel confident about my teeth and was just so positive and fun to work with. She is so attentive to detail that she can even work preventatively. Meaning, she can catch things that other dentists or doctors may not notice... even before it's a problem or a health concern. I'm just so impressed. Dr. Victoria Spindel, Elizabeth's daughter, feels like a friend I immediately clicked with. She is laid back and incredibly intelligent. Her explanations have such care and professional detail, and yet she's easy to understand without needing her to repeat. I love that they're a mother-daughter team too! It feels wholesome and trustworthy in there. And as lame as I'm making myself look, it's cute that it seems like love is their secret ingredient. They treat you like a patient, not a number. Everyone was so easy to communicate with and I felt very welcome. As someone who used to work in dental, I found them to be extremely knowledgeable and HONEST (something not always common). I moved to NH recently and was so overwhelmed with the amount of choices and clinics available for dental services. Please READ before you decide to book an appointment. This was my first visit to this office and will be the last. The hygienist chipped my front tooth while cleaning. After sending a picture right after my appointment, Dr. Spindle called to say she's sorry and that the scaler got stuck between the teeth while the hygienist was cleaning which caused the damage and that the hygienist was just trying to make sure my teeth are "sparkly clean". This has never ever happened to me in the past in any dental office I visited. Nobody should be expected to leave a dentist's office with teeth damage from cleaning! During the cleaning, I informed the hygienist to be more gentle and that I have never had such a rough cleaning before. This did not seem to help much or change anything. During my visit, no gum measurements were taken and the typical exam process was not followed. I was only coerced into scheduling appointments to replace "old" fillings that other trusted dentists never told me they needed to be replaced. The office looked like a junk yard and they did not have a receptionist. They only have one Hygienst and Dr. Spindle's daughter Victoria Spindle Rubin (also a dentist) was doing the front desk work/ scheduling appointments and answering the phone. I'm now questioning if the "hygienist" is truly a hygienist. A couple of people called to cancel while I was filling the paper work. I should have left immediately or never scheduled an appointment. I wish I never ignored the red flags. They were the only dental office in the area who had a next day appointment available and seemed desperate to schedule me. read more

Unfortunately, i went to another dentist. There are white spots on one cheek, inside my mouth, which turns out it is a crown coming loose BUT... at the other dentist, i was asked to pull my mouth open, to see the spots. I wasn't even offered a glove for my bare finger. When i asked, for a glove i was handed a paper towel. Something paper. Everyone rest assured that this kind of thing would never happen at Dr. Spindel's office. If you are afraid of dentists, or Covid, you should go to this office. I hate to admit that I had not been to the dentist in a few years because of some bad experiences in my youth, so I was really not looking forward to my teeth cleaning. However, when I arrived at Spindel General, I was immediately comforted by the warmth of the office which feels like a well-loved home, and the friendliness of the staff who were not the least bit judgy or pushy. My cleaning was thorough and Linda the hygienist was very informative and gentle, and made me feel like even though I had a few issues that we would get through it. Tori came to assess me and checked in a few times to make sure I was ok which was really lovely. I am so grateful for Spindel General and Cosmetic Dentistry because my teeth have a whole new lease on life! Dr. Spindel has a great practice, kind, efficient and thorough. She took the time to explain what she was doing and showed me on the xrays. This was a comfort as I am not fond of dental work. I have a lot of work to be done due to old fillings needing to be replaced and I will be driving an hour for appointments because she is that good. From my first phone call to the practice through my first visit, everyone was extremely friendly, warm, and caring. While I was sitting in the waiting area for my first appointment, I saw a young man greeted with a hug, as he hadn't been there in many years- since he was a young kid. I had my first appointment as a new patient at Dr. Spindel's office today. I'd been avoiding the dentist for a while after an unpleasant experience at my previous dentist's office. After doing some online searching, ignorant of how to judge a good or bad dentist, this office seemed to only have positive reviews everywhere I looked. I called to make an appointment and was able to get in within 24 hours. After arriving, I was taken in on time without any delays. My first impression was that the office was different than most medical offices which are generally hospital-like. This office is an antique home that's been set up as a dentist office. Although it felt strange at first, it was a welcome and comforting change by the time I left. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Dr. Spindel was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. She talked with me the entire time she was working on my teeth. She explained everything she was doing and why and constantly stopped to make sure that I was comfortable throughout the visit. She mentioned in conversation that she performs philanthropic dentistry, which although it was a passing comment in conversation, meant a lot to me to hear. Have been a patient for a while. Seems to have gone downhill. Twice the bad recommendations given resulted in the loss of teeth. Was overcharged for a crown (almost $4,000 for a 45 minute appointment), promised a partial credit, then never given one. The last time was for a dental emergency where I was treated with complete indifference to my pain. They also tried to just shuffle me off to another provider to determine if it was possible to save the tooth instead of taking the time to find out. When I insisted they do so, they reluctantly did but made offensive sarcastic comments. When my suspicions where confirmed that it couldn't be saved, was split deeply to the root with the nerve exposed, they said I could find an oral surgeon to remove it that day. It was after 3 pm, so that didn't sound right. I asked them to call and make the referral and they refused. They sent me to a waiting room packed with people to make calls to a list of oral surgeons. I just left and ended up having to wait almost 24 hrs--in agony for someone to fit me in for the extraction. The surgeon's office couldn't believe the way they had handled the referral. They suggested I call Spindell's office so they could prescribe something for pain. But it was obvious they didn't care at all and I figured it was probably useless. So I toughed it out, bu was in such agony that late that night I left a message on their machine complaining about the treatment I received and the pain I was in. They never even bothered to call me back to follow up, after almost 20 years of being a patient. Unfortunately, I will have to go back one more time because even though I was in tremendous pain and had to insist they take the time to determine if the tooth could be saved, they were eager to put me through the process of taking an impression so they could order a crown for another tooth and grab the money and profit on that. read more

After having a bad experience with a chain dentist, I needed a back up plan to get my routine cleaning and check up. I called these guys because they were highly rated on Yelp. I was not expecting to get an answer at 8 PM, pure luck. They were able to squeeze me in the next day at 9:30. Friendly atmosphere, dentists were very friendly and knowledgeable in the field. Quality of the work was excellent, my teeth never looked cleaner. I am glad I found these guys. These guys get a golden A. Oh, and I forgot to mention they are relatives to a famous native.
