Katherine,…read morewho answered the phone, looked up tax maps and deed maps over the phone and got back to me with very useful information, including the fact that the tax assessors think we have 2.8 acres when we actually have 2.3. Well, that's good to know! Then, the surveyor who came out was excellent, marked our rather weird property lines clearly, explained the access road issue, and otherwise gave us great information. Also particularly appreciate that these guys LISTENED to what we needed: a rough idea of where we could put buildings. So, they didn't do a full survey, just a four-hour one that gave us a sense of what we needed (and which was a whole lot less expensive). Great experience, and we'll have them back when we're ready to plan the outbuildings in fine detail.

They were polite and said they would get back to me, I waited several weeks without a callback at which time I emailed them and got no response. I've called back numerous times and they are polite and apologetic and tell me that they will check their file at another office and get back to me. Six months have passed and still nothing but "We will get back to you" which never happens. Whoever is in charge needs to make changes on how they do things. The first is common courtesy of returning a call. I definitely would not recommend this business. FOOTNOTE: I contacted Raymond Engineering who had done work on the same property in 2002 and called them, Raymond Engineering got me the information in a matter of days. What a difference it makes to work with a professional. Again, I would not recommend Holmberg and Howe for your surveying needs. PS: This is the first time I've ever did a review on a business.
