Not that many staff members had masks during the pandemic, the store is cramped, and just has a weird vibe overall. I'm glad this isn't my neighborhood hardware store, and if it was, I'd take the extra few minutes to go down to Euston Hardware instead.

It's a smaller store so they will have a smaller selection. It's just local hardware type of things and some cleaning supplies and around the house supplies. I do think their prices are quite a bit higher. The suet was about $.10 higher than Walmart where I typically get it with my weekly order. They do have a reward program that I belong to and they will send a five dollars off coupon for your birthday and a variety of other coupons in the mail if you purchase a certain amount.

I bought my wife a pair of garden gloves for $8.47 but they were too small. Since I couldn't exchange for a larger size, I had to get a refund, then pay the "new" higher price of $9.97. Guess I should have run back to HD the same day. Oh well, lesson learned.

Location: 8/10 HF is never crowded, even during peak times. It's easy to get in and out even though the parking lot is kind of small. It's right on Santa Fe (135th) which is always busy no matter what time of the day. Overall: 9/10 HF is a great place to find super affordable tools that will get you through whatever project you are working on. Every single visit I get employees who don't have a clue about hardware or where to find things in their store. And they always are desperately trying to sell stuff that's not even close to what I need! (Commission?) Today was my last visit. Four employees and three of them were totally useless. The clerk at the counter was too apathetic to bag my items, so I had to bag everything myself. Got to car and some random stranger starts yelling profanity at me from across the parking lot. Truly, this is THE worst Ace on the planet! Poor selection, terrible customer service, and all around bad vibe.

Their service personnel have been generous regarding information regarding adjustments and maintenance items I perform on my own. I plan on taking my newest tractor to Louisburg within a few weeks to have it checked out before I begin using it in earnest. I feel that everyone I have spoken to at Romans truly cares about me getting the best I can from my equipment. My brother also purchases all of his parts from the same location, driving from the Merriam/Shawnee/Overland Park area for parts for the tractors he uses within his own company in lieu of using the Kubota dealers closer to us. I truly believe they all are well versed with Kubota products both current and older.
