I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!

I had a water heater that rusted through on Easter Sunday of this year which flooded my living…read moreroom. After turning off the water to the unit, I immediately went upstairs to file an insurance claim with USAA. Being Easter Sunday, I figured it would probably be Monday when the crew would arrive. Surprisingly, they arrived on Sunday roughly an hour after I had filed my claim. The immediately went to work putting dehumidifiers and fans in place and cordoned off the area with tape and plastic liner. The following morning, I awoke to a huge pool of water that had spread to my kitchen. Apparently the water heater, which was full when the water was shut off, had finally given way overnight and had emptied the water through a good part of my downstairs. A crew came out later that day and started the mitigation process. Every interaction I had with Lawton was professional, super prompt, and especially courteous. I highly recommend!

They not only were completely incompetent, they provided a huge timeframe of when the work would be done but verbally said "oh thats just the template, there's no way the work will take 3 months". They finished 2 days AFTER the deadline just as I was researching suing them for breach of contract. The communication with zilch, I had to initiate every call, text for updates. They probably would have never contacted me if I hadn't. If your insurance company suggests this company, I highly recommend you ask for any other options besides this shady crew.

We had some water damage on our ceiling and had 8 companies come out to scope the project and offer…read moreestimates. Due to the water damage, I had a mix of restoration companies and general contractors. The restoration companies were far out of our budget because they go through a very lengthy process to remediate any mold. What I appreciated about JRD construction is they were not only affordable in their estimate but fair, honest, and flexible. I had some reservations about not going with a restoration company but Voss and his team assured me that if they found mold or more extensive water damage they could take the necessary steps to remediate it. They even brought a hepa filtration system as I wanted to take precautions with possible mold as they removed drywall. They checked in with us along the way and assured us there was no visible mold. To be cautious once they completed the project they put some mold killer on the wood in our attic that would be very costly to remove. They did great work and matched our ceiling texture really close. They even took care to put up and take down a protection barrier daily as we needed to get into our bedroom which was blocked by the work. I definitely recommend this company for remodeling or construction projects.

Unexpected damage was revealed after walls were opened up, which resulted in a longer completion time but all the work ended up finished. After another stormy season things seem to be holding up well. Also worth mentioning Voss helped us understand what we might need for filing an insurance claim and worked with our insurance company to get at least some of the damage reimbursed.
