We first had Tim install our new garbage disposal and he was quick, and his price was very agreeable. Then we decided to have him do our gate and the side of the house fence. He said he didn't normally work on fences but since it was basically a gate that doesn't open, he said he would do it. I was blown away by the results. The new gate he built and installed, along with the bit of side fence took him just under 4 hours and his price was fair. This is not my first handyman, and I can say Tim is far and away the best we've ever had. He never leaves a mess (I have been left with huge messes from other handymen) and is always making sure I am happy with the results. When my neighbor saw she was also very impressed, and I have several neighbors I will be giving his number to for future jobs. After posting on Yelp that I needed some installation/repairs/maintenance work done, Tim contacted me back via Yelp Messages within 2 hours to inquire a little more about my projects. He was the first one who replied to my cry for help. It took only a brief description of my projects for him then to come up with a price estimate for his services. Upon my approval, he then got me scheduled and emailed me an official estimate for me to formally approve - It was all done very conveniently via messaging on Yelp, it was super easy and quick. He laid out all the line items pretty clearly on his email. No hidden or surprise fees. A few days before the appointment day, he sent an email confirmation. Tim informed me that they offered an online payment to ensure a touchless transaction with his customers, which I super appreciated. When I told him that my place was all carpeted, he considerately offered to take his shoes as well. Tim was also flexible when I told him that something came up for me so I had to have him deal with my roommate, super thanks for that. Tim arrived 15 mins early than our scheduled time, which I certainly wasn't mad at at all - the earlier, the better in my opinion. He came prepared for safety with a mask, and was efficient with his work. He replaced my garbage disposal very swiftly - it took him about 20 mins, that was it. Then, as he moved to the next project to reconnect my dryer vent to the wall, when he saw how it wouldn't be easy due to the stacked configuration of my washer&dryer and its location in a small closet, he didn't give up. Instead, he tried to think of a solution and was able to work with my roommate to get the task done. I was impressed and thank you very much. Overall, he was a super nice guy, easy to work with, and I felt like his prices were reasonable. His fee for installing a garbage disposal was $200 plus the cost of the new disposal ($175). The cost to connect dryer vent was $50. More importantly, I was really happy with his work.
