When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. I can't in good faith recommend Phoenix Fine Painting, sadly…read more In July 2023 we closed on a home and wanted to have the interior walls painted before we moved in. On July 6, Joey with Phoenix Fine Painting came out to the home to give a quote. I was impressed with his professionalism and detailed quote that was prepared for me on an iPad. They were the cheapest quote and given the professionalism Joey showed, I figured they would be on top of their game. I explained to Joey the timeline for the job to be complete and that I needed it done by the 12th because I have a house cleaner coming on the 13th. Joey stated that it should be enough time for them to complete the job and I hired them on the same day. On the first day, only two painters showed up to begin prepping the home, which is a tri-level townhome with a little over 1,550 square feet. Long story short, because they only sent two people they didn't prep correctly, rushed the paint, and had to redo several areas causing the job to run behind. They finished a day late, which caused logistics problems for me. They must have watered down the paint too much because several areas are peeling, the ceiling/wall lines aren't clean, and any little brush against the wall causes it to be marked. After about 6-months the house almost needs to be painted again. Some of the old paint is coming through and some of the lines they supposedly fixed are coming undone. I had them come back to fix the ceilings because they painted them with the wrong sheen and also had them fix some brush strokes and after a few days, I noticed a big square on the wall where they fixed the brush strokes, so this wasn't properly blended. One of the painters was often stoned and reeked of weed so I'm not sure if this why my house turned out the way it did. They make you sign a paper at the end of the job saying you're 100% satisfied but after 6-months I'm not really satisfied...and I don't really want them back in my home.

This…read morewas a mess of errors and while Bonnie in the office was great and seemed sympathetic to what was happening, she would pass along messages and I never received call backs from owner/manager. After several weeks of no responses she had to reach out to the co-owner in California to reach out to me because Joey did not call me at all. To start, it was discovered that they used interior paint on our exterior trim. I called Dunn-Edwards to make sure I understood what needed to happen to rectify the issue so it was fixed correctly because at this point, I had lost faith of them fixing the issue correctly). Fixing the issue was pushed off way too long because "they had other jobs" and they didn't see mine as a rush because I had already paid prior to discovering they used interior paint. At the recommendation of Joey, I agreed to have the front door painted. And this became a horrible issue as well. For whatever reason, the paint blistered multiple times, I believe they came back 4x to try to fix the issue. It was a chore getting them to come each time. I was constantly calling Bonnie and texting the scheduler. They wanted to pin the blame on me for how the door was treated prior. I never did anything to the door, the previous owner may have but I am not a professional painter and relied on them, the "professionals" to know what needed to be done to fix the issue. Our home was on the market and it was embarrassing to say it was just painted but yet having blisters on the front door. Horrible customer service by the manager (Joey) and scheduler (Gerry) once they were done, even though issues were brought up immediately, correcting their mistakes was not a priority to them. Extremely stressful and overwhelming when I had so much other stuff going on getting our home ready to list for sale. I would never recommend them again! Extremely disappointed with service provided and lack of communication. This review is delayed as I have moved out of state and have been busy house hunting and I wanted to make sure I gave what I feel is a detailed honest review of how this all played out. (Elite) to refinish our 1990's solid wood kitchen cabinets. We wanted to transition from a dated medium tone reddish-brown natural wood finish to have them painted a fresh, modern neutral color. We selected an elegant shade of beige with hints of yellow and green depending on how the sun is shining. We waited the full 30 days after painting to replace items on the painted shelves that were part of our kitchen. I have waited until now to write my review to be sure that the painted cabinet surfaces held up to everyday wear and tear. All I can say is that Elite did a fantastic job! Ernesto came and gave us the initial quote in December 2025 and he was also on our job every single day. Our painting work was performed by Ernesto himself and one other contractor (Tony). They worked quite independently, diligently and were patient and easy to communicate with throughout the project as I was onsite (and watching intently) the entire time. Ernesto's and Tony's work was top-notch. Also, the office staff person, Sasha, did a great job, start to finish: first, in getting us scheduled in a very timely manner; all the way to the end, with final payment processing. We truly could not be happier. Our kitchen is large and our existing custom cabinetry was solid wood that was in really good shape and would have been such a waste to just get rid of. However, I also did not want our kitchen to look hodge-podge or cheap, as our home is quite grand. Anyway, the end result is the kitchen of my dreams! The newly painted finish looks seamless, brand new, and has held up beautifully to everyday use. It gives our kitchen a refreshed and totally elegant look. I am thrilled with the work that Elite performed and I am known to be VERY, VERY picky! I would not hesitate to use Elite anytime I need cabinets painted in the future.
