We would not recommend this Vet for any treatment of any animal for any reason. He has turned our…read morelives upside down. After my husband and I had our first child, we moved from Mpls in 2022, into a new home in Burnsville. With all the excitement, we decided to get a puppy. We found a very reputable breeder of Golden Retrievers through friends. At this point our life was so perfect we couldn't be happier. New home, new baby, new puppy. The American dream was falling into place. After a yr we thought we should take our precious puppy in for her first checkup. A neighbor recommended Dr Hunt at the Palomino Hospital-Clinic in Burnsville. Before the appointment we researched vaccinations for animals & found they're not all necessarily intended to help animals, some can potentially harm them & even cause death. When we brought this up to Dr Hunt, he became very defensive & appeared almost angry as if we were out of line for even questioning vaccines. He assured us that they were not harmful & that our puppy would be just fine. So, with some reservations, we put our faith & trust in him. Little did we know this would have devastating consequences. A few weeks before XMAS of '25 our beautiful retriever became sick. She was losing weight, had no energy & couldn't keep food down. She was getting worse by the day. We were dumbfounded. She had impeccable lineage, was fed the finest foods & exercised daily. We researched her symptoms and found it could be the results of vaccinations. The only vax she ever had where the ones Dr Hunt had guaranteed us were so safe. We immediately took her to a new vet at a new clinic. Our worst nightmare was coming true. After a battery of tests, it was confirmed. Our baby had cancer. It was terminal. With this diagnosis, and the info we supplied, the Dr agreed, it certainly could have been caused by the vaccinations she got as a pup. How do you tell your 4yr old child her beautiful dog is dying & we have to euthanize her because you trusted a bad vet. Dr. Hunt from Palomino Hospital/Clinic must be one of the most unprofessional Dr's we've ever encountered. The biggest regret of our life was not leaving when we got so much resistance when asking questions about the vax. It felt as if he was hiding something and trying to keep us from asking more questions. We thought we may have been over cautious, but in hindsight we were right on point. If we knew then, what we know now, we would have never taken our baby to that evil man. He destroyed the emotional fabric of our new beginning, in our new home, with our first child. We can't stop crying over the devastating loss of our beautiful pet that we loved like our child. It is going to take a long time to get thru this bad experience. We seriously beg anyone thinking of using the Palomino Clinic, to not. If you already are, please find someone new. He is dangerous. He is not a nice person & not the kind of professional you want treating your family pet. The neighbor that recommended him is horrified. Please make the right decision. GOD BLESS!!!

We wanted to get his mbd under control and were looking for a forever vet for our reptile. After reading reviews of other bearded dragon customers, we chose valley view. I'm very glad we did. Our vet that seen us was Dr. Anderson. She was so sweet, knowledgeable, and was very helpful and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. I read that a lot of 'exotic vets' don't seem to know much about dragons and give a lot of wrong information. I have done months of research and To our surprise, Dr. Anderson was very knowledgeable in reptile/ bearded dragon and the husbandry which really relieved a lot of my worries. I was very happy with my experience at valley view and with Dr. Anderson. Phoenix recieved a calcium injection, was sent home with 2 months of liquid calcium, and has a recheck next week. I was really happy about how she didn't try to upsell us on x-rays and blood work. When she brought up the blood work, we didn't say no and we also didn't say yes and she still didn't try to push it to get money out of us which like I said, I really really liked. This is a really nice exotic vet and this will be Phoenix's forever doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Anderson! After 6 days Phoenix is already gaining strength, has less tremors, splashes around in the bath, is more active, and is doing so much better! I highly recommend valley view for a bearded dragon/ exotic vet! Edit: We had a recheck for Phoenix yesterday Feb 28th. Right when Dr. Anderson walked in the door after greeting us, she brought up the review I left on Google and thanked me. She said her vet tech had printed it out to show her and she quoted a couple things I had said, which was really nice. I love this vet. You can tell they appreciate and care about their patients/customers. Dr.Anderson's vet tech is also very sweet and caring. She loves seeing and petting Phoenix when he comes in. When Phoenix went in for his first appoint he barely moved and was really uncoordinated because of his mbd. Yesterday he crawled right to Dr. Anderson and up her arm. He is doing Soo much better thanks to Dr.Anderson and her team. Thank you valley view for making out beardie and us feel loved and comfortable. We appreciate everything you guys have done.

I had all of my puppy worries taken care of by the very capable people over there. From the vaccinations to the spay surgery, I was confident that my puppy was in good hands. As she has grown, I know I can call when I have a question - even if it seems stupid, I am always given the time and a knowledgeable answer. They are very responsive to my concerns and I find it easy to get an appointment when I need one. Their In house pharmacy is very convenient. Flea & Tick and Heartworm medicines seem priced competitively and they accept the manufacturer's coupons for them. There is dental care available as well. We had to have a broken molar extracted and teeth cleaned and my dog seemed to be very comfortable afterwards. I have also taken advantage of the in-house groomer. She is a former vet tech and as a result, is very thorough and great with the animals. I have found pricing to be less than PetSmart where I also go. Almost all of my neighbors also bring their pets there. We are all very happy with the care we receive.

Follow-up for this review:…read more https://share.google/EXV2cCAjMXzCtLXvU Brief summary: I took my sick cat in for treatment. Communication was poor, care was sub-optimal, promises were broken. Upselling and manipulation were highlighted as problems. So a negative review was added to Google to reflect this. My review was not spiteful or emotional, just purely constructive. I aimed to provide helpful information for the clinic and its customers and even attempted to assuage the hostility of the minority of customers who shared negative experiences. Unexpectedly, I received a call from Dr. Rozendaal to discuss my cat's test results after 2 business days. Unexpected because this clinic has been known to delay delivering results. We had a pleasant conversation in which he answered all of my questions. I was eager to go return for my next appointment and leave a 5 star review, reflecting the service the clinic is known for and which I had experienced in prior visits. Before the call was concluded, Rozendaal broached the subject of the review. I reassured him that I harbor no ill-will toward him or his clinic, but that I stand by what I said, which he seemed okay with. Today, because another sick cat I adopted bit through my finger as he was being transported, I called to ask if my appointment today could be rescheduled. (I'm typing this from urgent care, where I'm receiving stitches.) After a brief hold, the receptionist again broached the subject of the review, sounding quite irate, although she presented that as concern over a "lack of trust." I asked if she would still like my patronage. She reminded me that my review was "still up." I said I plan to keep it that way. "Well, we're just wondering why you scheduled another appointment with us if you left a negative review." Here is your second negative review. You do not pressure and manipulate your customers, especially if they are suffering and dealing with sick pets! Have a modicum of moral decency. Not everything is about money and status! If you don't want negative reviews, keep providing good service. Plenty of franchises rested on their laurels as quality declined until eventually going out of business. In particular, don't go out of your way to harass repeat customers because you're having a bad day and can't manage the stress of your public-facing job.
