Dr. Bush wasn't in that day and I needed help as my cat was very sick after starting a new medication. I begged to talk with any Dr. on staff or have someone call me back before the end of the day. I was told point blank "it probably won't happen, but if they have time then they'll call." I didn't receive a call that day. Next day I was more worried about my cat and was met again with rude front office staff sighing loudly on the phone and interrupting me as I try to explain my situation and asked for Dr Bush. This time my vet was in but now I can't talk with her, but I was told to make an appointment with a tech, no Dr was needed. They wouldn't listen to my cat's situation yet and dismissed me at every opportunity. My cat lost half her body weight, continued to decline and I felt helpless. The next day I received a call from Case Manager Danielle who said she doesn't want to make excuses for how I was treated but went on to list excuses- " We are short staffed this week, Julia just doesn't realize when she's being rude but it's a problem they're working on with her.." I am so disappointed in Shakopee Vet. I have since found a wonderful place to take my aging pets. They took gentle care and concern with me and my pets and immediately found the issue with my cat. If you want supportive customer service and good veterinary care for your aging pets, I'd look elsewhere.

Unfortunately, my experience with them was horrible. First, they were unclear about their charges. When I dropped off my dog, they told me I would be charged with Standard rate. But after I picked him up, I was billed with Deluxe rate & no explanation provided. In addition, the boarding rates they listed were only for a sleeping space. You had to pay for Daycare fee if they let your dog out to play with other dogs and a bunch of other extra charges (such as the $8 for hugging/cuddling service which I never asked for). With a 12-day stay, this place costed me almost $700 total, far more than many other places would charge. Second, despite such an expensive bill and a promise for personal attention, my dog went home with open wounds and a claim "we don't know what happened" from them. I took him to the vet and found out that he was bitten with 3 deep marks. I had to pay hundreds of dollars more out of my own pocket for him to get stitches. When I called them back to express my disappointment in a very polite way, they said "We're sorry, but we really didn't hear or see anything. Plus accidents happen sometimes, you know." Overall, super sketchy & irresponsible business. Please stay away from this place if you can.

I love the photos they send each visit of my kitties! One of my cats is a senior kitty who has strict dietary concerns and needs medication twice a day. The pet sitters were great with him, cajoling him to take his meds and making sure he only ate the approved food. That was quite the feat, considering the other two cats are on a different food and can be very shy. I can't say enough good things about Preferred Pet Sitter. Knowing my cats were well cared for, including with additional dietary issues and twice daily medication, gave me the peace of mind I needed to take the trip. It's been awhile since I have taken my dogs to this groomer, but I'm so happy with our current…read moregroomer and after talking with her, we both agreed that I should leave a review so that other potential clients can be aware of the experience I had. I have two Westies and brought them to this location maybe 2-3 times before making the decision to look elsewhere and change groomers. Finding a groomer was hard as I started looking during the start of the COVID pandemic. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, without notice, they added an extra charge of $30-40/per dog, due to them being "difficult". I asked them what that meant, and asked them if they were biting at them, and they said no. One of the groomers did have some scratches on her arms, but didn't go into details on what happened. This place accepts anywhere from 6-8 dogs at a time, and my only guess was that maybe the combined noises from the blow driers was too much for my two dogs. Their haircuts were fine, but overpriced for the end product. I am completely happy with the current groomer we go to in WSP - Wiggles & Wags. It is a smaller location, and that could have been just what I needed for my two dogs. Leah and Alex clearly have had a lot of experience. I was concerned dropping them off after the experience at Haute Dog, but when I picked them up, they told me that "they were great - no problems". I couldn't believe my ears. I shared my experience at Haute Dog, and they said that is not the experience they had. My concern for Haute Dog is the well-being of dogs that may have special needs. My suggestion is that they get some employees who can think on the spot and find new ways to make dogs feel safe as every dog is different and has different fears or anxieties. When I picked up my dogs from Haute Dog, they could not wait to get out of that space and were shaking. Because of COVID it was another barrier that left me with many questions why my dogs were in the state that they were.

She not Only shaved entire dog down to his skin she literally shaved his skin there isn't even a 1/10000000 inch of fur left on him . he looks Like a hairless dog . And she cut him at Least 6 places big cuts, didn't bother mentioning the cuts when picked him up. He has been wheezing non stop since appointment. He used to love groomer but he is seriously traumatized by this visit he's shaking hiding under bed and not the same dog. It also took much less time then normal and was clear she just cared about getting off work for day. I hope he's back to normal soon.
