Also, the staff, particularly the office manager, Ms. Ramirez, helped me once when I had a problem with my insurance. My insurance refused to pay the exam fee after I paid the office visit, so she worked out a self-pay discount for me for the exam fee when I unexpectedly had to pay for the exam fee. The reasoning was that my insurance deductible had not been met which is understandable, but asking a patient to pay for the visit upfront without even having the visit is unacceptable. Offering to split it up into two payments with the first payment due before I see the doctor is still unacceptable. This doesn't take into consideration any other office visits by New or my spouse that could affect the deductible, or code changes in claim that could affect billing. It would have been more helpful if I had been asked for my insurance information when the office called to schedule my appointment so that I didn't have to take the time off work and sit in the waiting room only to leave frustrated. The sad part is that I really need to see an allergist. I was actually looking forward to this visit to finally get some relief. How silly of me.

I have already informed my attorney, as I could have arranged care elsewhere had I been notified. Let me be clear: I am not someone to play with when it comes to my loved one's well-being. If necessary, I will pursue every appropriate legal and public avenue including involving attorneys and media to ensure accountability. This is not a game. At this point, I am no longer interested in being seen at your facility. Your 4.0 rating now makes perfect sense. If your staff cannot handle the responsibility of caring for people in crisis, they should step aside. Do not undermine or delay care for my loved one or anyone else's.

Off of Broadway on Sunset Rd. Had to go through the usual new patient ride of filling out fifty forms so they can know everything about you. Once in, I was attended to by Zach Garrett, the PA. He examined my ears and told me it was a build-up of earwax. WTF? This has never happened. There was so much in there, it was affecting my hearing. If you think that sounds gross, you should have seen the pile he picked and vacuumed out of both my ears. I resisted the urge to take a picture, but that mess is forever burned in my mind's eye. Ha, ha. I am just so effin' embarrassed. Zach was as gentle as he could be given the circumstance. I'm glad it was 'just wax', as an endoscope had been brought out for 'just in case'. Thank goodness it wasn't needed. It looked lethal and ominous. The only bummer is that you better be sharp about seeing the building. There is construction going on both sides of their building and if you blink, you'll miss the driveway, like we did. Go there.

Four phone conversations later I was told they were wrong and an amended would be sent to my insurance. Then three weeks later I received a letter saying I would be sent to collections. After calling the office, I was informed the last person, the supervisor, did not put notes and did not recall the situation.
