Stopped here late on the 4th of July after the fireworks and was honestly just happy the store was still open. We grabbed some late night snacks and a variety of ice creams for the family and had no trouble finding what we needed. The prices compared to California were genuinely impressive. That alone was a win. I grabbed a sandwich from the premade section but couldn't find any mayo packets. I asked for help and the man who assisted me was really lovely. He went out of his way to help even though I will admit I somehow ended up back at the hotel with 3 tartar sauce packets and 1 mayo. His effort was very much appreciated regardless! I can only imagine that working the night shift on the 4th of July was not exactly his first choice, but you would have never known it. Always stocked with my favorite beer, but unfortunately the selection needs to get more competitive with Walmart, who's very much inferior in every other manner. Of note is the very nice staff here. This store just keeps getting worse. The employee's especially in the meat dept need to be retrained in customer service. CLEAN YOUR MEAT TENDERIZER. Fantastic service, and very clean store! My favorite part of the store is their curbside delivery- they have the kindest staff that bring your groceries to your car. Some of the prices are higher than a competitor, so I didnt give 5 star for that reason, and too bad their parking lot isn't bigger, its always jam-packed with customers, so they must be doing a lot of things right! read more

Pharmacy employee were very rude dealing with my husband's medication. He said that insurance information was needed so when it was provided he told him to come back in an hour then right after that comment, he told us to come back tomorrow. He was definitely not courteous never mind that medication was totally empty. We will find a different pharmacy in town. Smiths is our go to store usually. We spent around $200 2 days ago, and my man was like hey go back and get a prime rib for the dinner of the year, and i went in and was told i needed to spend $25 to even purchase one. Which is not that big of a deal except we didn't need anything except the prime rib. I was definitely not happy about it and as a loyal customer for many years thought any member should have the "privilege" of just purchasing a prime rib. Maybe for non members that would make sense to have to make an additional $25 purchase but I didnt see any sign saying this either so i was definitely blindsided at checkout. We did go somewhere else and got the same weight for less $. I moved to Pahrump in March 2024. It's a small town with 2 supermarkets and a Walmart. I mainly shopped at Smiths until today. Their prices are OK and they mail me a lot of coupons. The product selection is a little thin, but that may have more to do with being in a small town with very basic tastes than anything. Some of the employees are very nice......unfortunately some are better suited to being in a less people oriented job. Over the last several months, I have been given a steady dose of sour pusses, lame answers to questions clearly intended to make me stop asking questions, and today, let me tell you about today. I asked a young lady in the meat department to tenderize some round steak. She came back out after going to tenderize it, and said the tenderizer was not cleaned the night before and she didn't have time to clean it. She suggested I buy something else. This, despite my saying I had another 30 minutes of shopping to do and I would gladly return when I was done. If it were an isolated incident I' d let it go. It was not an isolated incident.​ I had a guy in dairy try to tell me that a plant based egg substitute was just like Egg Beaters, which they don't carry (that's weird too). He's wrong, of course, but he shouldn't spread misinformation like that. Frankly, I think he just wanted to get me to go away. DONE! I'm through with Smiths. BTW, those coupons I mentioned often expire before they have the product on the shelf for people to buy. read more

STOP ripping off consumers. Your company should stop doing digital offers and clipped deals. These offers are ripping off consumers. Especially computer illiterate people and old people who don't know how to use I-phones. Your weekly sales should be for all people. Then half the stores you go to you can't get internet access. I actually love shopping at Smiths. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately, I recently had heart surgery which hindered my driving. I ordered my groceries to be delivered through instcart I placed my order which was to be delivered by 7:45. It is now 9:45 (4 hours later). Still no one to help me with my order. They don't even have anyone in the store shopping right now. Instacart did not notify me that they didn't have the personnel to complete my order. They indicated I might receive it in the morning. One of the best places to shop of you want to avoid screaming kids. The people that work here are always nice and the place is clean. The prices might be a bit higher then other places in town but they have a better slections of meat and produce. A bit plus is half the store is not locked behind glass. read more

For Pahrump, this is a really nice grocery store. It's clean, well-organized, and their produce is fresh even in hellish hot July when the ants don't even want to leave their holes. Mainly, I'm writing this review, though, because I traveled from the L.A. area to visit our family to celebrate our daughter's 5th birthday. My mother-in-law offered to bake a cake, but she recently had surgery, so that didn't seem right. I chose Smith's because I saw online that they had a licensed My Little Pony themed cake. Lo and behold, this Smith's dang machine that does the fancy schmancy images was broken. Jeannette was quite honest on the phone with me and said that even with a week and half notice the machine would mostly likely not be ready. So we worked with what she had. She found some ponies for me to put on there later (Princess Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash just happen to be our girl's favorites). They also airbrushed a rainbow per my request and added some whipped cream frosting balloons. It was really cute, plus the cake was soft and tasted great. A 1/4 chocolate cake with whipped cream came out to $25.99. We used a $5 off any bakery item coupon. Nice folks at the bakery & checkout. Last Friday morning, the 8th, I had a very frustrating experience when I was ready to checkout. Around 7am, I entered the store, gathered my groceries, and about 20 minutes later, it was time to checkout, only to find, NO cashiers on duty. There were only self-checkout lanes open. REALLY?! I was shopping at 9851 West Charleston in Las Vegas, NV 89117 on Sunday September 1, 2024 at 8pm and one of your employees called me an asshole and then I was assaulted by several people at the store including your cart employee and one of the people doing remodeling at the store and also by a customer The Manager is named Tom. I was Shopping there Sunday night for a watermelon on September 1, 2024. I picked out a watermelon and then I went in the Back with The produce man, named jose to cut it and after I cut it I went to get some bags at self serve checkout and I grabbed maybe 6-8 bags because the watermelon was in three pieces and after I grabbed the bags the woman that was running the self checkout said hey you can't have all those bags, we are short on bags and then she said to me "you are an asshole" so i took the bags and I went back to the Kitchen with jose still there and I started to bag the watermelon and Dawn and Chris bolted in aggressively and cornered me in the kitchen like a caged animal as if I had done something wrong I said to Dawn the manager on duty next time your employee calls me an asshole I am going to call corporate I said I am not an asshole and I don't appreciate being called an asshole by your employee and I said I have been shopping at that store for 20 years so I bagged the watermelon and went to check out As I was walking out I said to the woman who was running the self checkout, I said you better watch yourself you can't call customers an asshole and then chris and dawn got very aggressive and said I had to leave the store and then your cart guy chest butted me and then the people remodeling the store came over and started to assault me and then a customer with a mask walked in and he chest butted me from behind and then everyone circled me like it was a public lynching like i had done something wrong, I left the store very scared. read more

The store is clean and well organized...but my favorite part of this store is the bakery. I love their baked goods. After a long drive, I was craving dessert so my dad and I made a late-night run to Smith's. Chocolate cake was purchased and man, it was delicious. Smiths front door greeter was rude to begin with, so all in all this place sucks. Worst customer service ever at the Western Union desk. They gave me wrong information which caused hundreds of much needed dollars to be sent, but not able to be picked up anywhere in Nevada, until and unless I am able to get the sender to redo or modify the transfer order. Straining my relationship with a new employer in the process. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else, there are much better places close by. read more

17/2016 Smiths is very well known in Vegas as well as having one store in Pahrump. We have been here many times, to me it is a 3 star at this location for a few reasons. They do have some good sales some weeks. A plus is if you have a reward card you use every time you buy something then you can use your reward card to save 10 cents a gallon or more on gas (There is a station at this store) after you get $100.00 I am not sure how many you can save up but I have used 20 cents off a gallon before. Really a nice card to use for the gas. Plus if you use your card you will get offers in the mail every month, Like free pizza, or a free 24 pack of water and other savings as well. Sometimes some really good ones even on meat! This is all Smith stores not just this one. This store sometimes runs out of the items they advertise for and we have been in many times where you need to get a rain check or don't bother if your like me and forget you have it! lol The biggest reason I come here is for the Deli, I get our sandwich meat at whatever Smiths I am closest to at the time.The only complaint I have here is I wish most of the people who work behind the counter listened better on how we want things sliced. Most of the time they show you and they it is not that way when you get it home. It is not that hard to listen to how people want things sliced. Checking out I like that they have self check out lines. This way I can pack my bags the way I want and usually you can walk right up to one and get out faster than waiting behind others, Not many choices if you do any shopping in Pahrump besides Wal-mart and Albertsons which I do prefer most of the time. (If you get prescriptions and pick up at the drive thru be prepared to wait sometimes the line can be long and you can wait more than 30 min because I have! I've been using the pick up service lately because I hate all this mask stuff and I avoid them at all costs. So I place my order, reserve a time for pickup, then call as soon as I get there and within 5 minutes they have my car loaded with groceries. They give you a print out of anything they were out of, scan coupons at your car if you have paper ones, and then calculate your total. I've done this 3x so far and it has been very easy, the people bringing my order have been very nice, and everything was correct. Definitely will keep using this in the future. read more

Continued refusal to enforce the state facial covering mandate. I have gone to management numerous times to report the violations. I am met with general indifference and I have been told that the employees can't "make" customers follow the mandate (which is untrue, violators can be talked with or removed). Since talking with management has left me dissatisfied, I started to take pictures of customers, vendors and employees who are violating the mandate. I am verbally attacked by employees (including managers) for taking these pictures. I have had a bread vendor verbally curse and threaten me. I talked with a manager about this incident immediately. After speaking with the manager, the same bread vendor approached me again running the Dolly of bread into me. He started cursing and threatening me again and I noticed the manager was standing nearby. I called to her while the vendor was still assaulting me. She told him to go back to work and then confronted me about agitating the vendor. I was taking pictures of two Coke vendors without face coverings, one of the employees came up from behind me yelling for the vendors to wear their masks. When she neared us she told the vendors to put their masks on because I was taking pictures of them (not because it is mandatory but because I take pictures). She then harassed me about taking pictures. A similar situation happened again today. I took a picture of a customer who had been putting her face covering on and taking it off repeatedly (mostly shopping with it around her neck, it appeared she was putting it on when there was a store employee near). During checkout a man confronted me to delete the picture, loudly shouting at me at the check stand (I send my pictures to the cloud live so, there is no photo to delete). The man was told to stop and take it outside. I was then confronted by two cashiers, a manager and another employee for taking pictures in the store. I asked again for them to enforce the mandate and I was told that they try, some people can't wear masks, I'm causing trouble and I won't be told again. The store takes time and employees to confront people who take pictures of violations (I'm an not the only person who takes photos of people violating the mandate) but the employees can't be bothered to ask the violators to wear their face covering. This is the only Smith's location in my town (the next nearest store is about 60 miles away) or I WOULD go to another location. read more

We decided to try the grocery delivery service due to the current health crisis. Our first order was delivered later than expected, but we were pleased with the service. Our second order was supposed to be delivered yesterday and we never received it or a text, email or phone call regarding our delivery. My husband went into Smiths this morning to inquire and he was simply told that since Smiths outsources this service through Instacart, they can't help us!! For the non-locals, this is pretty much like a Safeway. In fact, the food presentation and store organization is strikingly similar. I'm giving it 3 stars because it was significantly hard to find reasonable to-go offerings. To make it worst, the selection changed a lot from Friday to Saturday. If I could give this place a minus 10 star rating? I WOULD. That's how bad this Smith's store is. It's dirty, every time I have gone into it the floors have not been clean, same with the area where they have produce, and meat. I can never get a decent cut of meat no matter how much money I spend. Most of the people who work there area rude and disrespectful for no apparent reason other than they are having a bad day, they are in the business of serving the public, not the other way around. No excuse for being disrespectful to a customer who is asking a simple question. If you can't deal with the public? Then you are in the wrong job description. Lastly, my 80 year old mom used their pharmacy for years, no longer because they are incompetent. She has an incurable disease and these parasites made her wait a week for her medication! THAT IS WHAT I WOULD CALL INCOMPETENT! What kind of unfeeling maggot would do that to someone like that? My advice is to not use any pharmacies in Pahrump because they are all idiots who can't even get the amount that the prescription says right. There's plenty of pharmacies that will just mail it too you, deal with the insurance companies, deal with the doctors, and you aren't stressing over whether your loved one is going to run out because of an idiot who cannot get their orders correct, or they just don't give a damn. Michael in the pharmacy is an ABSOLUTE horrible employee and should be fired. My mother who has cancer needs certain meds for it, and has been trying to get them filled for the last week. Then today we find out Michael told her doctor that she told him she didn't meed it anymore and to not fill it. SHE NEVER EVEN SPOKE TO HIM ABOUT HER MEDS. He LIED just so he can be lazy.
