This is the only store like this around this small town. There is no Target. So you kind of have to make this work. This is often one of our first stops when hitting town to get some basic food items. I have no complaints as far as the availability of items go. But that's mostly because I don't look for anything too out of the norm. Staff is there. But I have very little interaction with them. They're certainly not walking around work smiles looking to help. But meh it's Walmart. All in all I'm glad to have it to get what I need. read more

Recently I broke my leg but had to go to get somethings at Walmart. As I hobbled in from the parking lot to get a drivable cart (no handicap spots available I might add) there were none to be had. The "greeter" said to try the other end of the store"...yah right....did she notice I could hardly walk? I left, such POOR customer service. Went back several times later, again with bad leg, no drivable carts, no available HC parking. It's my feeling that in this community of elderly and handicap people that they need more the 6-10 handicap parking spots and many more drivable carts. OR, police the use better. I'm always seeing those NOT handicapped getting out of cars parked in spots reserved for HC. Also see younger people riding thru the store on the drivables and/or the carts being left in parking lot for extended times. Do the community a favor Walmart and get your act together and help us handicapped people out more. Better customer service would be nice too. read more

Meh... I came in looking for just a few items. Wanted tire shine wipes, which they didn't have. Picked a spray that was clearly marked $5.24. It rang up $6.97! I needed a ruler - the 1 foot size. Nope. None in school supplies. I ended up with a sewing tape measure for $1.67. Was also looking for a cheap disposable razor knife. Looked in tools. Nope. Never found one. Self check out moved quickly, but you could only pay with a credit card. I was surprised this Walmart was extremely busy mid-day Monday. read more

Holy crap. Did you know Walmart only has swamp coolers as their cooling device in the store? Yes, it's true. Swamp coolers. In the desert. I was visiting family in July and needed to stop in for a few things. There was a crazy heat wave going on...115 degrees outside. Buyers beware. I signed for the home delivery with this place. Things have been going well with this service until the other day. Some items weren't in stock so since I had to go to town that same day I found out that the shopping for home is a scam. I was able to get the items that they said weren't available when I went in the store. The worst part of this I found that Walmart is scamming people with home delivery. The two products I didn't receive were at a cheaper price than what I was being charged when they delivered to my home. After to talking to somebody in the store I was told that it's common practice with Walmart. So I'm paying monthly for home delivery, plus a tip for the driver and get these wonderful messages from Walmart of how much I saved. Which is a total lie. This service is going to be cancelled by me now and forever. I don't know who the manager is at this store but they should be fired. Now if you go early hardly any self checkout machines are open and you maybe have one cashier. If possible stay away from this store. read more

Our experience is that the people are helpful and friendly as a possibly can be; they will look on their phone app to find the location of something and then take you there if you're doubtful. What a lifesaver this pharmacy was . I drove 2 hours from Death Valley to get a prescription filled at Walgreens. At Walgreens the woman was extremely rude told me it would take 72 hours and she would notify me if there were any problems. When I arrived to Pahrump, Walgreens never had transferred the prescription or notified me. I went to Walmart and the nice pharmacist helped me immediately, had it transferred within minutes and had it filled immediately. read more

This is a TERRIBLE pharmacy. Apparently I'm not alone in my experience or feeling this way. I am travelling through Nevada from sparks, NV, and was told that I could easily transfer my medication to another Walmart pharmacy WITHIN Nevada. I ran out of my prescription and have been without it for about a week, when I've continuously been on it for almost A YEAR. Something I shared with the pharmacist, and yet they refused to fill it, because ... They didn't want to. And, as I was told multiple times by the pharmacist "it's up to me, and I make the decisions.". She said it was a red flag, that I didn't live in pahrump (um, I'm travelling and this is the same state, am I wrong? And wahoe county is literally y'all's neighbor, am I wrong?), and bcuz I didn't have an established history with her, she would fill the prescription. What if I just moved to pahrump and was picking up the script for the first time? Or, what if I lived in pahrump my whole life, and was just prescribed this medication? ANY time I pick up a script for the first time, they wouldn't have an established history with me. This is insane. This is a WALMART pharmacy. Not a dinky local one. Transferring medication I've taken for almost a year, from ANOTHER Walmart, WITHIN the same state, should NOT be an issue. I am and was completely aghast. I even told her that cutting this medication off cold turkey can cause seizures - something she was probably aware of, and she said she was - and she STILL wouldn't fill it. She even went from "ask ur doctor to send in a new script (which would take a day, and is not an option, as I don't live in pahrump, and I can't afford to stay a night on the off chance they MAY fill my script or not. This is unethical, and also just stupid and not following any rules. Just because "she" makes decisions... Completely disappointed and pissed. If I get seizures, it's on you, lady. This has been a great experience for me, we moved here from Vegas for this reason THE PEOPLE!! I came here today Father's Day to see if they could fit me in to take my tires off and put on a different set. (Didn't have an appointment) Calvin was so helpful, he went and checked to see what could be done to accommodate all my needs getting this completed today so I didn't have to try to do it myself at my house. Mind you I have a lift a truck 7" life with 37". I was reluctant to see what would happen but very satisfied when he came back to let me know that they could get me done today. The time I've spent here waiting to get my truck in has been amazing to see the staff interact with customers and also get jobs completed in a timely manner. This was an eye-opening experience for me to see how a team of people can come together as one and get the job completed! We would like to thank you from our company to yours and personal thank you! It's Friday night, I'm working on my car, I need a special aerosol cleaner. All the automotive stores are out of stock. After finding it on Walmarts website, I call to see if they have any in stock. I am not optimistic about my chances. A woman answered the phone. I offered to give here the product info from their website but she said she could just search by name. I thought that was weird but she was polite so I just went with it. Much to my surprise and delight, she said they have 5 in stock! I jump in the car and head into town. I get to the aisle to find an empty shelf. I ask a guy for help. He takes me to the same aisle. HE was happy to look it up based on the website product number. 8 hours agoNEW I bought 4 new tires from the auto service department..I went to test drive my van, got the speed up to 55 and lost control of my van...took it back to Walmart auto and asked why they didn't balance my tires and was told that they don't balance tires...how is it possible that they can put on new tires and not balance them...they should have told me the tires were not balanced...I could have been in a serious accident when my van was swerving all over the road... read more

I was a Walmart in Pahrump NV and they sold me a $2 bag of ice. As I went to pick it up out of the cooler, the bags were a broken lump of ice in the bottom of the cooler. I went back to the register to get my $2 bag of ice refund and the cashier told me I had to go wait in the customer service line to get my refund!!! This was SO frustrating and it was a clear management failure. Why do you sell customers ice if you do not have it?!?!?! And then, I have to go wait in another line to get my $2 back!?!?!\ Insane! 18/2016 **Automotive only** If the employees weren't friendly this would be a ONE STAR only! Before our last oil change which we always go and get on Ft. Apache in Vegas at Perfect Auto because of the price and because we have always been treated well there. Our oil needed to be changed especially with all the trips we do. So we decided lets try the Wal-mart here. Well everything seemed fine. We leave and the car just did not sound right. Now leaving your car in their hands you figure they know what they are doing and how much each car needs when they change it out. After bugging my husband to check the oil just to make sure it was ok which of course he said " It is ok they just did it!" Well it was one QT. LOW!!!! No wonder the car just didn't sound right!! Once again one of those things your not near where you had it done so you go buy more to put in and you chalk it up to experience. We would not bring any car we own there ever again trusting they know what they are doing!!!! read more

I drove 15 minutes in 32 degree weather arriving at the store around 10:40pm. I made it intot he store arrived at a display case, locked where my $8 item was. I asked for help, and was told to push a button. The employee then walked away from me to begin stocking. Another employee was stocking right by me. They both ignored me while a speaker system repeated "Customer Needs Assistance' probably 8 times and close to 5-8 minutes. At the end of my rope, I ask the first employee, who is going to open this case? He says, I think someone over there I hear their walkie. I leave the employee behind hunting down the walkie person. I find them. I asked, can you open the display case, and they said, No, come back tomorrow. I tell him I've been waiting 10 minutes, and he can hear the speaker, yet now he says come back tomorrow we're closed. I then searched for someone at the front, I asked if there was a manager, and they said, No, the person took a walk. Now I'm upset even more. I explain what the heck is happening and there's no key. Then a lady employee walks up telling me the key is put away. I ask, is that normal, you close displays before you close the store? She says no. Duh!!! So, needless to say, I didn't get my item, I waited in the store for over 10 minutes with no help. Employees literally ignoring me as if I don't exist. Every employee wanted me to leave telling me they were closing soon. I have never encountered such a rude staff, bent on pushing customers out the door without assistance. I'm literally shocked this is Walmart. If I was corporate, I would go check this store firsthand, it's outrageous how they treat people. I have never been so mad in my life at a retail establishment. Eh, it's a Walmart, so I don't know what people expect. The produce is only slightly fresher than the Albertsons nearby which leaves rotten fruit on display. Yikes. It's crowded but average as far as wait times. This is a small town so manage your entitlement and expectations. You're definitely not going to get the same level of freshness or service you would find in Vegas or San Francisco. It is what it is. Staff is a little racist. When ordering online and received item has broken parts. Don't expect a refund from Walmart. They say contact the the 3rd party who sold it on my Walmart website. When you email them to request and refund you receive no communication back from them. Call Walmart and they say not their problem they take no responsibility for items on Walmart.com pathetic! I went in and got myself a money order and about a week later the money order was lost in the mail, but the lady refused the make it right by refunding my money, but right there on the MoneyGram website it says to go back to where you got the money order from and report to them what happened and show them your receipt of purchase and they will refund the money. So according to Walmart, I should've taken my $200 and just threw it in a fire, you may as well say that I did, because they wouldn't refund it. So because of them doing that, I will never ever shop at Walmart again. They don't deserve any stars but I've got to at least put one to post this. read more

Hate to do this but Walmart Pharmacy is bad for me. My doctor ordered 2 scripts. The pharmacy refused to fill one because it was a controlled substance. It was to replace another drug I was taking which was also a controlled substance. Because I was in transition between drugs they would not fill it. The DEA apparently has control over what a doctor can prescribe and what a pharmacist can fill. I know we have an opioid problem in this country, but when that control impacts people who need drugs the pendulum was swung way to far. People who need drugs to mitigate illnesses and can't get them, something needs to change. And it starts with the pharmacist who should care about their customers health and well being. read more

I have not had a hard time finding what I need in Walmart lately, which really makes me happy. The thing I really Love about this particular location is the employees! I Love that they don't have a high turn around so I get to enjoy getting on a first name basis with many of the employees and if I don't remember their first names I still enjoy seeing the same friendly faces! The employees at this location currently are a really great team. They are always happy to help me out in any way they can and answer any questions they can and they are very knowledgeable about where products are located in the store or if they are carried at this location. I went in earlier this evening with my daughter & was assisted by a manager Henry, who is just a lovely human being and so helpful any time I am in the store & need anything when he is working he always helps me out. We were rang up by Jonathan who also exhibited exceptional customer service. I cannot thank him enough! It is very rare that you find people who are willing to help you and actually be very kind and patient about it at the same time these days. Henry & Jonathan are two shining examples of such folks. There was also a very nice young man who helped me out tonight in the toy department but unfortunately, I didn't get his name and I was happy to see a female employee (I forget her name) but have chatted with her on several occasions & know she owns an animal rescue. She is a Lovely person as well & always a joy to see when I visit my FRIENDLY local Walmart. I wish all Walmart locations were as good as this one. This location really has some quality long time employees who actually make it a joy to shop there. Other businesses could take notes from this location. If I were you I would think twice about using Walmart pick up or delivery. I used the delivery service and when the girl got here it look like she was living out of her car. With my groceries in her filthy trunk and then half the order was wrong so I refused it. Now the store tells me they don't even know if they got the food back how ridiculous and I still haven't gotten a refund so now I sit here with no food and no refund. OMG, this is the messiest, most disorganized mess of a Walmart I've ever been in, and I've been in dozens of them in many states. Where in the world is the manager to clean up this filthy place? The clerks seemed friendly enough, but very, very lazy. The disarray in almost every aisle is literally cringe worthy. It looks like little kids are allowed to run wild in here and deliberately mess up everything before the doors open in the morning. Nobody cleans up anything, it's very uncomfortable to even walk around in there. The produce section is horrible, the deli is staffed by incompetents who obviously don't care about anything but punching the clock. This is absolutely the most disgraceful Walmart in existence. Dear Walmart: I hate you. I spend an upward of $2,000 at your store- for every year that I have lived in Pahrump. Why? Because, it's close to my only choice, unfortunately. Today, I walk in, buy $121.14 worth of products at your store, and go through self check out. I'm dressed in nicer clothes that I have worked hard for- not that that necessarily even matters. I buy a $16.87 mini unicorn backpack for my eleven year old daughter that's included in that $121.14 total. When I check out, you come and check the INSIDE of the unicorn backpack to make sure I'm not stealing anything. Embarrassing and disrespectful to say the least. So, now my $2,000 that I normally spend (at least) each year will now be going to Amazon, and our local Albertsons near by. I spend way more at Costco, and I have never had an issue. read more

This is the worst Walmart that I have ever been to and I have been to a lot!!!! Their employees are the worst. They have a hard time taking anything back but get in the car and go to Vegas and the item can be taken back with no issues at all. Customer service is crappy at best and even the managers and supervisor's are horrible the one that recently gave us horrible service was in her pajamas wish I would've gotten a name I would put it down. The store is always out of stock of a lot of items and always seem to be stocking in the already crowded isles. Just really can't stand this store and I try to just go to Vegas when I can.
