    Carne Asada and Adovada Tacos

Super great food! It may take a little while to make, but just the smells are worth the wait! Ridiculously cheap tacos at $1.50 each. Heck, even the fries were cooked perfectly. ¡Muy bueno!

Hidden gem. Delicious Mexican food. Market with great selection. People are so nice. Nice alternative to Longstreet Inn Cafe if you are looking for some variety and is 5 miles away.

This place is fantastic! Amazingly fresh, authentic Mexican food. The cook was really nice and answered all of our questions about the area. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I were starving and found this place on google maps. It was the most amazing Mexican food I've ever had. All salsas are handmade from scratch and to die for. All ingredients in my torta and my boyfriend's enchiladas were fresh and delicious! They also make micheladas, which we had to try too and were not disappointed. Besides Mexican food, they have some American food like hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken salad. If you're ever near Death Valley definitely worth grabbing a quick bite here :)

. I was pleasantly surprised , especially for the location : middle of no where. They have some groceries in the store as well.

So I was a little confused as the place listed is not the same place that is here anymore. Its now…read morean Indian restaurant called Punjahi Dhaba. Walking inside the gas station it's sectioned off to the left. They do seem to have a fly issue on the gas station as some had said. Hopefully that Is something they will rectify. However, its hard to find good Indian food these days. Especially in such a remote area such as this, and I found the food here was actually really delightful. Sometimes you have to go to a hole in the wall, that lacks the sparkle and refinement visually to get the flavor you have been searching for. The cashier was polite as he took our order. We got the butter chicken, mango lassi, and a potato stuffed paratha bread. It was perfect to share between two people. The meat was tender and flavorful, and I loved that there were nuts in the sauce and the spices were more complex. I find a lot of Indian places dont add those touches in the states. Rice was fluffy and fragrant, the bread was so delicious! Warm and layered with that soft potatoes filling. It was great to dip into the butter chicken sauce. They also had a side of yogurt and a chutney. The chutney was not my favorite thing in the world, it tasted perfumey. We got the food mild incase our child wanted any, but they do offer spice levels. The mango lassi was divine! Bursting with flavor and not to thick. If flies were not attacking me this would have been 5 stars. I didn't experience not feeling welcome in any way because I am not the same ethnicity as the workers like some had mentioned. I just thought that was important to mention. If you want yummy food and a place to stretch your legs its a great alternative to the less than stellar cuisune you often find on this route to tahoe in the smaller towns.

This place is like that: In addition to the usual roadside gas station, convenience store, there is an Indian restaurant inside that is absolutely terrific! The place is clean, the staff is more than friendly. The menu isn't big, but it has all the typical indian dishes. I had the chicken curry, hot. (The waiter told me it was "Indian hot," not "American hot" but I've had hotter. Pro-Tip #1: When you order, get the 'hot'.) The portions were delicious and huge; despite overeating because it was so tasty, I still took away leftovers. They offer both dine-in and take-away service. But... Pro-Tip #2: If you would like a drink to accompany your meal, get it from the C-Store cooler (and pay for it at the counter) before you get your meal, as drinks aren't on the menu. It's literally in the middle of nowhere: Half-way between Las Vegas and Tonopah avoids the hustle and bustle and bright city lights. But if you're on 95, plan on stopping here for a delicious meal! PS: They also have an "American" menu, so burgers, grilled cheese, etc... are also available. But srsly, get the Indian food! PPS: While you're here you can stock up on the Area-51 Alien accoutrements at reasonable prices, too!

We recently visited for brunch with my niece and her children…read more We had just gone to Starbucks and picked up a Frappuccino and another iced coffee drink for a treat. Unfortunately, the restaurant has a policy that no outside beverages are allowed. We really didn't understand how strict they were about it, since it's not like they offer anything like a Frappuccino or iced coffee as a beverage. So there's no competition there. My niece had a very awkward conversation with the person who greeted us and it was just overall a very unfortunate interaction. The server looked at me and said "We're not going to have an issue, are we?". She was SO rude and really embarrassed my niece in front of her young children. The food was okay, but I really wish we had just left.

Service was nice and welcoming. The colorful decor and variety of seating was appealing. + Raspberry Teas = $3.90 each + Coke = $3.90 + Strawberry Margarita = $9 + Jalapeno Margarita = $9 + #5 Beef Enchiladas Rancheras = $13.75 + #15 Beef Enchilada And Relleno = $13.25 (I did not love the red enchilada sauce at all. It was too sweet, but the relleno was the bomb!) + #1 Shrimp Tacos = $14.25 + #18 Flautas And Guacamole = $13.25 + #13 Ground Beef Taco And Spinach Enchilada = $13.25 + 1 Guacamole Half Order = $7.75 My other complaints were that I wasn't all that crazy about the location tucked sort of behind Walmart and I hoped for spicier salsa. Still, I would go back with family again for another jalapeno margarita (which was loaded with chopped jalapenos) and maybe try their albondigas. El Jefe on Calvada Blvd used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants here in Pahrump, but…read morelately it seems that most items I have ordered are lacking flavor like they did 9 to 12 months ago. As an example, I just had a chicken chimichanga for my dinner. The chicken had no seasoning, the rice inside wasn't much better, and the chef/cook puts no cheese in it nor any seasonings. The guacamole lacks flavor also, but I still put that, sour cream, and salsa on top to eat part of it. I will give the salsa 4 stars , plus the tortilla and chips were acceptable. Honestly, I'm not sure what has happened to the quality of the food. For almost 2 years, I have been going here with our group of Pahrump ladies a few times as we rotate among Pahrump restaurants for lunch every 2 weeks. In addition, my husband and I have been eating here for much longer than that. Perhaps the chef/cook is different, and if this is the case, I am hoping that he or she will be willing to take suggestions or at least listen to this comment. As far as service, I have never had a complaint. I have been there with just my husband or with our group of ladies that has been at least 12 to 15 of us several times. The wait staff is always very professional and friendly, even providing individual checks for the group. Ambiance is just so so, really nothing that makes one go wow! Yet the one thing that is important to me is cleanliness, and there is no problem with that!
