Gift cards were also 4x points (minus Amazon). Ended tuesday- normal, since the sale ends on that day. Also, Squatch soap was on sale, so hubby bought a few bars of soap, to try out. He initially purchased one at Wal-mart. To see if he liked it enough. Was considering getting that special deal online but saw that it was on sale here. Saw last night on a tv commercial, that the store has expanded to using Points on grocery purchases, not just to redeem on gas, which is a good move. ((Important: The former President blocked a mega-merger between Kroger and Albertsons, which I also signed numerous petitions against, and so this was a Win for us Consumers.)) Peculiar, that we've received the weekly Sale circulars very loosely these past few weeks. I don't know if this is on the USPS, but it's very strange, indeed, but worth mentioning. Was basically a small market with all the amenities of a small local grocery market. The prices were higher than average but that's to be expected considering I was 30 miles from civilization. Their produce area is always missing something... still that department is doing better than the bakery. Come Sunday evenings the bakery is wiped out. But what really drove me to write this review after all these years is we went on a Sunday afternoon and went through self-checkout since this location has about 17 self checkouts in total. All apparently for 15 items or less which was brought to our attention by an employee on Sunday afternoon when we went to check out. All the while there was 1 register open with a human working.... So 1 register for everyone in that store on a Sunday afternoon with 16 items or more. How does that make sense? And yes there was a line for all of those self-checkouts. An employee told us next time we have to go through regular checkout and told us to just ask for another register to be opened.... Because that's my job? If you can there's a line for self checkout why would you just not have someone hop on a register and divert some of that over there? Not to mention people with 16 items or more are going to be paying more at the register, so we shouldn't be treated like add ons. If thats the goal then please have more people working registers mainly and especially on the weekends. This place gets packed even the parking lot is jammed.

This grocery store was very convenient during the pandemic shut down when the contactless grocery shopping was recommended. The gas station is the most convenient for me and these days the rewards gas discounts are appreciated. I always find several specialty items here that you can't find at other stores. The produce section seems to be fresh and well kept compared to other stores. The staff generally seem very friendly and helpful. The only negative that I have found is the self checkout with the conveyor belt. That situation never goes flawless and it always locks up. I still enjoy checking out with people!
