Hot and new, Smitten on Paper has various letter sets, craft and stationary gifts. They also offer customizable card sets or wedding stationary, their display cards were simply gorgeous! They also have two working presses, it was incredible and RARE to see! I loved seeing what types and fonts they use. I'm super excited for this new addition in Old Town!

This is a lovely little gem hidden in downtown/ old two Monrovia. Finding a still standing stationary shop was such a great surprise, and the lady that helped me was so sweet and helpful. They have everything paper and pens you can dream of and are reasonably priced

Good vibes, great service, and friendly workers! I bought some colorful wrapping paper from this place for a gift I was preparing for my mother. The online website is nice. Things are laid out well, the pictures are nice, and they accept a wide range of payments too. In person the area is super cute and cozy. Big windows that allow for plenty of beautiful natural lighting, good scents, and unique card designs. When I picked up my wrapping paper, I met Erica, who is one of the workers there. She is super kind and friendly. They even offer a service (for an additional fee) where they can wrap something for you. Erica wrapped my gift for me, and she did an amazing job!

This place is just gorgeous and inspires creativity. I learned about this place through a friend who told me about CalligraFair, a calligraphy fair, which was taking place there early May.

What a sweet little shop of gifts & paper goods! I visited Smitten on Paper after hearing they were hosting a pop up shop of local designers this weekend, including a perfume brand I'm a fan of, so I decided to swing by. I've never ventured to Monrovia either, so it was interesting to see such a Mayberry-esque town with restored historic brick buildings housing assorted shops and dining options- looks like a nice place to raise a family. Smitten on Paper is a spacious, loftlike shop that carries stationery items for special occasions- wedding invitations, placecards, gift tags, calligrapher services, birthday cards, etc. as well as clever gift items- frameable prints with song lyrics from Lana Del Rey ("Heaven is a place on earth with you"), Rifle paper journals, cheeky travel coffee mugs... The ideal place to stop by if you're planning your wedding or need an impromptu birthday gift & card. They seem to carry both high-quality local designers as well as well-known brands for paper and bridal goods. They also have a popular Instagram account to stay updated on new stock and pop ups, @smittenonpaper.

Such a cute little hidden gem! ‍ It's easy to miss unless you're walking by and happen to notice…read morethe sign pointing you down the alley. Once you find it, though, you're greeted by this cozy little coffee and book shop that feels like a secret hideaway. They have a really nice selection of books to browse or buy while enjoying a drink, with a handful of seating options: from regular tables to comfy chairs and sofas. It's the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time and accidentally spend a few hours reading. I ordered an espresso over ice, and honestly... their coffee is pretty damn good. I wasn't expecting much from a place that doesn't primarily specialize in coffee, but I was pleasantly surprised. The jasmine green tea was also really good and refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. The ambiance is probably my favorite part--quiet, cozy, and inviting without feeling too stuffy. Definitely a great little spot to escape to, grab a drink, and browse some books. Would absolutely come back!

Credit Cards: They are accepted. Restroom: They have a unisex restroom. Location/Parking: Located in a alleyway in old town Monrovia between Lime Ave. and Lemon Ave on Myrtle Ave.. Parking can be found either in the shared public lots or along Myrtle Ave. Ambiance/Decor: Nice cozy ambiance with 6 or 7 small tables to sit/read/drink in the shop. Service: Service is great. The staffers are very nice and informative. If you don't see a book that you want to have, you can request it and just pay for the book when it arrives. Lastly, ask for cat stickers! Black Cat Fables For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back to explore the shop while enjoy a cup of tea.
