We didn't have reservations, but the place looked OK and the rate for our two rooms were favorable. Both sets of sheets in one room were stained...hard to tell whether it was old blood stains, chocolate or whatever, but it was disgusting. It would have been impossible for the housekeeping person to not have noticed when changing the sheets, if indeed they were changed. In the other room, the smoke detector dangled from the ceiling, showing it to be without a battery. In the shower of one bathroom, it looked to be a line of mold straight across the bottom of the wall. We were told of the complimentary breakfast when we checked in. In the morning, we went to check it out. The outside cover to the juice machine was broke and so we had to manually keep it shut while dispensing juice. Cold cereal was available but no milk to go with it. There was a small cabinet that had two old biscuits and some bread - I guess for toast. Long story short, it was no breakfast at all and we needed to go out for breakfast. Any money that you may save by staying here, you will lose when you have to take yourself out for breakfast the next day. Add to that the lack of cleanliness and safety, I would never stay here again - even if it was for free. The lesson I learned...spend a little more, stay at a franchise hotel where you have some recourse if things are nasty, and having a real complimentary breakfast will save you money in the end. Sherri and Jeff are incredibly gracious and intuitive hosts: there when you need them, but otherwise, they let you be. The porch alone of this rambling abode is larger than some San Francisco apartments, and every window of my room looked out upon lush greenery. I slept well in the big bed and thoroughly enjoyed the historic feel of the Himmel House. Couples will love this B & B, and business travelers take heed: a place like this is a welcome break from hotel life. You won't regret staying here.

It was nice to have close parking and 2 doors to come and go. The doors have electric key pads so no worries about locking yourself out. (You do have to lock yourself in, as they don't auto lock ). The area was quiet and pleasant. Being on to Main, there was absolutely no road noise. I tried the float tank and loooved it. It was so incredibly relaxing. A 60 minute meditation float with music and lights. Ahhhh ‍ There's also a meditation room with a massage chair and virtual reality...So. Stinking. Cool. I just got to do a quick test run, but I can imagine the full experience and can't wait to go back for it. Make sure to go to the main house for Bulletproof coffee and visit with the sweet and knowledgeable staff. Christa, the owner is nothing short of incredible and her passion for what she does is evident everywhere. Cannot wait to go back and try everything else. A little slice of heaven on Main Street. It's probably the best stays at a hotel/inn I've ever experienced. It had a charm to it, help was just a few steps away, yet you have your own building to stay in so it was quiet from any other guest. With that said my only con is it's so close to the road that you can hear traffic, but only when some jerk decides to honk his horn. They have spa amenities and flotation therapy which I was unable to try, they also double as a coffe/smoothie shop and have an all natural coffee which is now my favorite coffee! The TVs don't have cable, instead they have a roku which is very convenient since most everybody has a Netflix amazon. So I will definitely be back next year!

The owner's are absolutely dedicated to running the best RV Park in the area. Communication before and during each stay has been excellent, and Stephanie is very helpful and accommodating. You will NOT find a cleaner bathhouse, restroom or laundry facility anywhere. They are always clean, fresh and well-maintained. Let me preface this by saying that this was my very first bed and breakfast experience. I've always…read morebeen reluctant to stay at a bed and breakfast because, frankly, I go on vacation to get away from people in general, not hang out in a house, share a bathroom, and a dining room table with them. In this case though, we were more interested in the idea of staying somewhere haunted. Well, if there is such a thing, this probably isn't haunted. Formally creepy? Absolutely! But the former owners restored the building, added the necessary amenities for a bed and breakfast and eventually sold it to it's current owners who operate it as Prosperity School Bed and Breakfast. We got there after a long, hot road trip and were really grateful the building was comfortable on such an oppressively hot day. We got a brief tour, told about breakfast and were shown to our rooms. The room was formally the school auditorium (sounds enormous but it was merely really large - remember, this is an 1800s school.) and was well appointed. To make a long story short, the owners were kind and thoughtful. Really, B&Bs probably just aren't my thing. It's a little too much like staying at someone's house for my tastes.

If you don't mind staying in Rural scenario it's not a bad place to stay.
