Once on site, they were able to immediately identify the problem with the heat pump unit. I was pleasantly surprised that Todd was able to provide me with a professional and reasonable quote, in addition to contacting the manufacturer for a new placement fan motor which was installed the same day. Today's high temperature was 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so I am so thankful and greatful that Todd and Michael for their professional expertise and skills. I called numerous appliance repair companies within an hour from us and was unable to connect with anyone available to assist. I then called Carter's Heating & Cooling, who put in our HVAC when we built 10 years ago here at the lake. It turns out they also ran the propane line to the house. Greg Carter was very responsive, and Jamie came out first thing the next morning. After doing an initial check of things, he disassembled the cooktop and found the leak at the regulator. Interestingly, we had a local appliance repair out here in 2019 when we smelled propane at the cooktop. While I don't know if they ever corrected the issue or not, Carters did! I have always been impressed with Carter's and highly recommend them if you want things done right.

Since going into business by himself he has continued to provide great service. Just this spring my 30+ year old heat pump and air handler bit the dust. JD came out found out what the problem was and discussed the problem and options I had to get my air back on. Weighing all my options I decided to have a new system put in. JD took his time to measure everything and find me an affordable new system that would work with my existing setup. He didn't try to up sell me anything and was open and honest about the whole process. There was a problem that arose when he started the install. He had to locate a much needed item that the manufacturer of the new unit neglected to provide. While he tracked down the part needed he kept me informed of what was going on. There were a few other problems that came up with the install but JD took his time and got everything up and running before this heat wave began. He went above and beyond what anyone else would have done to get the job done right He made sure everything was working and running properly before leaving for the day. While I appreciate this company for making it out to my rental in a timely manner and addressing a…read moreclogged toilet, there are just some things that don't sit right with me and I think people need to be aware of. #1- they were called for a CLOGGED TOILET. I (the landlord) was not able to be present during the repair. Instead of just addressing the issue at hand, they walked around my entire house to include the basement and pointed out to her several things. ("Water pipes needed to be completely replaced, along with all the sewer lines", etc). I've had repairs done on the sewer lines last year and had a clean out installed by another company. This is totally noticeable because it looks brand new. The sewer line is fine. #2- i believe this was a fear-mongering tactic used to try to get more work and money out of her. Taking advantage of her not understanding these things. Again, they were called for a clogged toilet. Not a "broken water line", not a "backed up sewer", none of that. #3- the fill valve in the toilet needs to be "repaired". They quoted me $400 to repair a fill valve, flapper and supply line. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!! A total rebuild kit costs $30 at Lowe's. They told her that she would need to replace the entire water tank as well. *** Can I just mention that a brand new toilet costs $100 at Lowe's??*** This is really sad and honestly criminal. I hope to god that you don't try this on anyone who doesn't know any better. I've been around this type of work my entire life and never have I EVER seen this kind of pricing. Absolutely not happening. Reevaluate your prices and be honest about what you're doing. Thanks for responding and unclogging the toilet quick, though. I do appreciate that.
