The service technician Felix assisted me on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was professional and polite in his service. Star smog regulations for a 1986 Mustang is much more involved and time consuming than newer vehicles. I understand there are many different car makes and motors and every technician can not know every stock component that came on each car. With that being said, Felix was open to me explaining about stock parts on my vehicle and double checked that they are smog legal. CA has made it extremely difficult for those of us with clean running older vehicles to complete smog checks. Came on Veterans Day on a Friday, they were open normal hours. Still there were two cars in front of me so it was about a 30 minute wait. The reviews are true though, the waiting room is nice. Spacious and some complimentary refreshments and reading material available. Definitely expect a wait and bring something to distract yourself with. By the time it was my turn, the smog test only took about 10 minutes. And yes they are Star certified. Friendly guy who runs the place and checks all the cars.
