I've been coming here for a while, and the service is always excellent. The owner is very honest, quick, and reasonably priced. Best of all, he handles everything with the DMV, so you don't have to do a thing. The process is fast, but this place does get busy, so plan accordingly. The longest I've ever waited was about 35 minutes. There's a seating area if you want to wait, but I usually take a short walk instead. Highly recommend this place! Note: Not much of a waiting room, a few run down chairs and a magazine or two. da Service: Get there @ 8:30 if you don't want to wait, but it's pretty dang quick. I would visit again (as a female I did not feel intimidated ) and will refer my family and friends there- the process was seamless and he was able to make additional suggestions/recommendation to register the car as he didn't want me to go too soon and it not be in the DMV system. I had two cars to smog today. I brought one in there were four people ahead of me. He said it would be ready in an hour. I brought the second car in about 50 minutes later. Car one complete, 2 new people ahead. Came back in 45 minutes and car two was done. There were more people waiting. He is a very busy guy, yet as nice as you would want a retail person to be. We tried to smog our van twice there. The first time he was yelling and said he was the only one there and we needed to take the engine cover off. He said to come back Tuesday as Monday was too busy. I happened to drive by on Monday and saw 1 car. I showed up Tuesday and he began to argue. I have no idea why. I noted that he had told me to bring it back on Tuesday and he told me to take the engine cover off but I was hesitant. This man had not smiled once and was rude with every sentence. I got back in the van and drove away. Got my van smogged easily I'm going to yelp them as well they were so kind. I did note that this man was alone on Monday when I passed by, and Tuesday the day he said to come back. He definitely has no people skills, and he certainly didn't keep his promise. The technician, Pao, was helpful and efficient. I mentioned that he might see a missing rodent-repellent sachet that had fallen into the engine. Pao took a flashlight to look around. Although he did not find it, I appreciated that he looked. The cost was $59.95 including a certificate for a Toyota Prius. It took 11 minutes (like he said it would) and I was on my way. Fast, efficient and helpful. Before coming here, I had stopped at two other smog centers. The first was only open on Wed and Thurs. I returned on a Thursday, and waited about 5 minutes for them to get off their phone, then left. The second smog place was so expensive - even with the $30 coupon - that I left.
