The new venue looks magnificent and a seriously amazing upgrade of the old venue. The stage is much larger with a curtained area. The seating arrangement is just like the old theater with all the wall decorations. There's plenty of street parking, which is great for people who are familiar with the area. The old venue had a convenient parking lot in front of the venue. There are lot of food options around for a quick bite to eat prior or after the show. It's a great place to watch magic shows. About the only issue I had was I wish the owner took a picture of me with the three magicians from the act. I know he was busy handing out flyers but he took a picture for the previous group with the magicians. He just said to me, "Get someone else to take the picture." One of the three magicians took a picture of me with the other two magicians, but it would've been nice to get all three in the picture with me. I'm pushing 60 (and I paid extra to get a front row seat), so photo memories like this would be nice. read more

They did a nice job converting this grand old bank lobby into a theater. We went on a Friday night for the 8PM show. Found a lot of dining options 1 mile down the road in Keswick Village. We were greeted I Immediately upon entering the building and didn't even need to pull up our tickets, we just needed to confirm our last name and row. They have two sets of restrooms which makes it easier for guests that might have to step out for a minute to use them. Plenty of parking behind the bank and also a municipal lot next to that. Parking on the street is free after 8PM. We saw Mike Miller a local magician from Philadelphia, lots of wows and laughs. Worth every penny! read more

The venue is magnificent! Top notch staff! Plenty of parking. The main theater is the perfect size for magic. I wish I had more time to explore the rest of this converted bank complete with a magic museum and a smaller "close up " theater. We attended the "Dr. Morbius Old Fashioned Ghost Show." The show was fun and entertaining but did seem a little slow paced at times and too long. It would behoove Dr. Morbius to cut back on the amount of tricks in the show. IMHO. That being said, the one negative, at least the night we were there, is the MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD! Earsplitting at some points. I honestly thought the sound man was trying to blow out the PA. Theater management really needs to put a check on that. All in all it's great to see a venue dedicated exclusively to magic and magicians in the Philly the area. SoOo MUCH FUN! We didn't know what to expect as 1st timers to this wonderful & mystical venue. From the moment we walked in, to the time we were leaving, we felt so welcomed by this great group of people. Loved the decor - lots of history of famous magicians & colorful old time posters & memorabilia of master magicians. There is a very comfortable & large waiting area with another separate large lounge area for 'pre-show' hanging for drinks (BYOB) & chilling with your group. The theater is perfect & sits a small crowd (60 comfortable seats) - we could see everything from our seats. Both my husband & I were actually invited to participate in the show! Hilarious & so much fun = we were amazed & stupefied!! We took the hour+ trip from the NJ shore & I'm glad we found this mystical jewel. The performers were professional, so much fun = they wowed us with their prestidigitation & skills!! The outside of the building has only the 'Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theater' sign by the entrance & 1st impression gives absolutely NO hint of what is about to happen inside! TRULY MAGIC!!!! I hope this tucked away theater gets more visibility because the show was incredible. 10/10! Everything was entertaining and surprising. I had doubts about a show of card tricks being entertaining for over an hour, and my doubts were definitely wrong. If card tricks were that fun, I can only imagine what the other shows are like with illusions like sawing a person in half, making people disappear, etc. All ages (we were with a 13y/o boy, as a 30 something couple, and Middle Aged people to seniors were in the crowd) were equally impressed and gave a standing ovation. Great theater to see magic up close and personal! Gone are the days of sitting rows back, squinting and trying to see the stage or looking at a larger screen of what is actually going on. One of the best things about the layout of the theater is that in my opinion there's not a bad seat in the house, even in the most back row! This was our second visit to the theater and I already plan to bring some friends back. Most of the performers are a fun mix of magic and comedy, you'll be both rolling around in laughter and child-like curiosity while watching the show. The most recent performance saw, the performer did actually mess up a trick that didn't work out - but despite that we had a great experience and thought nothing less of the venue or the artist. I highly recommend this for a fun night out with the family or friends - check out their event schedule they will list if it's a show geared more towards adults or children/teen friendly! Great place to hold a celebration with awesome entertainment. I recently planned a surprise party for my husband at Smoke and Mirrors theater. I purchased enough tickets for my guest along with the lounge for a pre-party. The owners are very accommodating and always returned my calls while planning the celebration. All my guest were wowed by the talented magicians! The small venue allows you to witness magic right in front of your eyes. My first time at this "magical" theater. I've lived in the area for years and probably drove by this location a thousand times without knowing it was ever there. Magic!! I can't say I loved either of the magician or the mentalist that performed the night I was at Smoke & Mirrors theater, but I loved the actual theater and the experience. You walk into an actual tiny little theater, with an invitingly charming lobby. The theater room is designed for up close and personal experience, no bad seat in the house. First time visit to Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theatre and will definitely return. We went with our family of four including two teens and my parents. The entertainers were both amazing! Even though we were a group that spanned from the age of 13 to 75 we were all entranced and intrigued by the magic and card tricks. Definitely let wondering "how did they do that"? The theater is an intimate 60 seat venue which is a great size to feel a part of the show. The tickets are reasonably priced. I have a coworker who was there also and saw two other performers. I went last weekend (9/8/17) for a unique evening of entertainment. The theater is tucked away (they said a new sign will be coming soon), but you'll be surprised at how warm and inviting the place is. In the theater, there is absolutely not one bad seat. The owners walk around and talk to you prior to the show, and they are an engaging duo! The first act was a short stint by one of the owners who had the entire audience laughing.
