I returned to the store within a couple of hours, where an employee confirmed the device was defective. At that point, I assumed a simple exchange would follow--apparently, that was optimistic of me. Instead, I was issued a store credit but informed I couldn't receive a replacement because I didn't have enough "inhalation" remaining to qualify for another 2g device. So, just to be clear: I purchased a product that didn't work, returned it promptly, and the solution offered was a credit that doesn't even cover the cost of anything I choose for a replacement. When I asked what I was supposed to do with the defective vape, I was told I could "try to get the oil out of it." That was a particularly helpful suggestion--I didn't realize purchasing a disposable vape also required me to become a part-time extraction technician. The use of the word "try" was especially reassuring. To make matters more practical, the credit provided doesn't even cover the cost of a similar product, and there were no suitable alternatives within that price range. The 2g product I originally purchased typically lasts me about a week, so this situation leaves me without the medication I rely on--something I was also informed is "not their problem." Overall, it's an impressive system: sell a defective product, offer limited credit, deny an even exchange, and suggest the customer dismantle the device themselves. Immediately after leaving the store, I opened the product and observed that the safety seal had already been broken. Upon inspecting the contents, I discovered that the bottle did not contain the advertised supplement. Instead, it contained m&ms. I immediately returned to the store and informed an employee of the issue. To document the situation, I took photographs inside the store while the employee was holding the bottle. The employee then checked another bottle of the same product from store inventory and observed what appeared to be the same issue. The employee advised me that only the manager could authorize a refund and instructed me to return the following day. The next day, I returned to the store and spoke with the manager. I explained that I had purchased a product with a broken safety seal and contents that were not the advertised supplement. The manager refused to provide a refund or otherwise resolve the issue. When I expressed concern that the situation was serious and asked whether anything would be done about it, the manager laughed. I have contacted corporate to see if they'll do anything. I made the purchase with no issues and left the store. I opened it the following day Monday 4/13. I removed the papers and took a draw, nothing... Tried again, nothing... I went to the store and asked for a replacement due to mine being defective. The employee denied me and I asked to reach out to a manager, 40 minutes later after being told multiple times, I came back on Tuesday 4/14. They said the manager was not in and they would be back the following morning 4/15, I went to the store, asked for the manager and she explains that I left the store and it can't be exchanged. You got the bad end of the stick, she says... This is really disappointing as I am now the one who lost money, the store could have went to the Manufacturer, made an exchange, took care of the customer but that is not what they do, they offer a discount off of a new product (so they still make more money) and say, it's just policy. I understand policy, I understand people scamming people out of goods or services but when you can look into a customers account due to them inputting the phone number in their system, they should be able to see and take care of a returning customer. My only comment is not to go to this smoke shop, they don't care nor want to care.
