(Review of brisket only) This was a no for me. I came to try out the brisket since the reviews say it's decent, but from my experience I'll pass. Traveling to Kansas City and experiencing the different taste of brisket I kind of knew what to look for. First, The "brisket" wasn't giving brisket, more like a bottom round cut meat that's being smoke. Second, the meat was dry, so the sauce was a must. Lastly, the guy was a bit rude, not welcoming. Solid BBQ. Slab of ribs- perfectly cooked, had a delicious sweet glaze, and no fat. Brisket was tender and smokey. Chicken was moist and delicious. Baked beans and mac n cheese- perfection. My only complaint is we did an Uber Eats order and the menu didn't include cole slaw or collard greens. I called the restaurant and the owner told me they were out of greens but to order the macaroni salad and leave a note on the order to substitute Cole slaw, which I did for four sides of Cole slaw. I even texted the owner to make sure he knew and he replied. That said, I wound up with four macaroni salads and no Cole slaw. Despite this glitch, the place is a winner. We will be back. read more

The food here is ridiculously good. The brisket is so tender and flavorful. The baked beans and coleslaw were great. Not overpowering, just a nice addition. The portions are HUGE. It's 100% worth the money. The only down side is I went around 5pm and there was no Mac salad or Mac and cheese. Aside from that, this place is a 10/10. The owner is very attentive and accommodation. I have never ever in my life experienced something like this. I ordered from here on UberEats. The Uber driver calls me and I hear a man YELLING in the background telling him to leave and that he won't give him my food. I tried to reach out to the restaurant directly. The same man picks up, yells at me as if I did something wrong, and then HANGS UP! Completely unprofessional. This kind of behavior is unheard of. I don't know what the dispute with the Uber driver is about but absolutely no need to take it out on the paying customer. So rude. You should not be in the service industry. read more

Very rudely a man standing outside the tables rudely said you need to park in a parking spot that was behind the truck I'm looking like there's literally no one here. Coming from Texas and being stuck in quarantine with shows like Tiger King and Ozark made me really crave bbq. I was skeptical at first, since Florida was never known for its bbq. I picked a place with good reviews that also delivered and landed on Smokey Trails. I ordered the 3 meat combo (ribs brisket and sausage) with a side of slaw and tater salad. The thing that bumped them to a 5 star was the portion and the ribs. The sides were standard. The sausages and brisket were good, enough fatty vs. lean parts, nicely seasoned, and there was enough of everything for 2 meals. There was enough sausage for 3 meals actually. Now onto the ribs. I've had a lot of great ribs across Texas, and these ribs were very nicely smoked and then broiled. The smokiness with a sweet herbal flavor was fully soaked and intertwined with every inch of the meat. It had a nice crunchy outer crust with just a good touch of bbq glaze. The ribs were so good I finished all of them the first round. Overall, would love to have those ribs again any time! read more

Wasn't sure I was at the right location based on GPS but it was tucked in the corner and the menu was pretty straight forward. I ordered a slab of ribs and whole chicken for family and friends. The owner asked what sauce I wanted and I personally wasn't sure and simply wanted the sauce in small plastics containers, and my request was simply ignored and he insisted on wanting to know what sauce and he simply just squirted the sauce in the container on the side. Nonetheless the ribs and chicken were great the chicken was truly one of the best smoke chickens I have ever had. I would have given a 5 star review but the owners customer service skills are lacking. Being that I have never visited or tasted his sauce or food it would have been helpful to know before forcing my hand to choose a sauce when it was for not just me and for a group. Will I return? yes his food is great. I would suggest offering small samples of your sauce or simply charge for sauce on the side. Nonetheless he is craftsman with his smoking skills! read more

This is BBQ place is incredible! I have been coming here every week or every other week for a few months, I got a job near by and my employer said it was a great place, possibly the best bbq in the area. I think he's only around on Thursday or Friday, but just makes me look forward to Friday even more. The meat is so tender, if you go a little later for lunch there's no line so it's easy. Visited here today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with how good the BBQ is and how reasonable the prices are. I was the only customer at 12:15pm on a Friday. They had a ton of smoked food available including chicken, sausage, ribs, brisket to name a few. Opted for the 2 mean combo and got ribs and brisket. My total was less than $28 and there was easily more than enough ribs and brisket for two meals and I'm pretty good at eating BBQ. There was plenty of parking in the lot that the food truck/smoker is located in. They take credit cards and have plastic ware and plenty of napkins. I tried the mustard sauce on the ribs and sweet heat sauce on the brisket and couldn't pick one that I liked more - they were both excellent and the sweet heat was plenty hot. When I got there it wasn't busy at all I came up and there was a gentleman sitting there I believe he was the owner? I'm not sure anyways, he didn't really acknowledge me. I was in the neighborhood and decided to give this food truck a shot. I was talking with the "cook" and he was a delight. Funny, charismatic, friendly and very inviting. His customer service skills are exceptional. When the other person came out off the truck "I'm assuming he was the owner or manager" he didn't say anything other than keep your distance while using a nasty tone. I respectfully backed off but his demeanor was one of a rude and sour person. When I gave my card to pay for the meal the rude person used the card and threw it aside once he was done swiping it. The "cook" retrieved the card and thanked us for our patronage. The food was good and the gentlemen who attended me was polite and funny however the other person was a total douche. It's a shame because I love to give back to small businesses but truthfully I'd rather go elsewhere until this "gentlemen" improves his manners. I was not standing close to you but I did respect your wishes. However the manner in which you expressed yourself and the attitude you gave me afterwards was not warranted. My last day in Miami was spent looking for this truck so I can try their delicious smoked ribs. It was a bit tricky to find a first because it was in a shady looking parking lot and I didnt know it was a food truck. You can smell this food truck from a mile away and it smells heavenly. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and bbq ribs. The sandwich was amazing. My only thing was if they put it on a different bun. The bun was a bit thin so the sauce from the pulled pork made the bread soggy quicker. However, the ribs is what won me over. This is the BEST smoked ribs I have ever had in MY LIFE. I have never had bbq ribs that is soooo smokey and flavorful on the first bite. Sooo good that I had to lick the sauce off my fingers (jk.) They need a chain restaurant because Im pretty upset that its only a food truck in Miami and I can not get it anywhere else. Hands down a MUST TRY. The Mac and cheese was definitely store bought and out of the freezer. You can tell just by looking at it and the taste was even worse. I took one bite and threw it away. Outstanding stuff. The potato salad is serious business as well. Creamy without being mealy, spiced perfectly and enough good stuff in there for texture that your mouth will be happy after the first bite. My buddy got a pound of brisket to bring home with him so I got a small taste of that. Yowza, the crispy bark was the perfect friend to pair with the delicate, tender meat. So tender you could eat with a spoon.
