The price was average for the area. They were very charred and the flavor was just OK. Next was a brisket dinner with cold slaw, potato salad and bread. $12.. Slaw was good but the potato salad had too much mayonnaise. The brisket was dry and (for me) too salty. Really needed sauce. He offers several sauces that are good. I found this place on yelp, and I was super excited to stop by because I love ribs and firewood type of ribs are just the best. The guy there not only got my order wrong, but he was rude and not paying attention and wouldn't let me return it because I ask for (2)1/2 slab and asked him "hey can you tell me which one has more meat, the 1/2 slab or the 1/2 rack. He thought I said A WHOLE RACK!!! my grandmother was next to me when I placed my order. I was only ordering food for her and I and he said "no you said whole" I told him sir I ask you the difference between rack and slab and pointed at the MENU in front of me. He wasn't paying attention at all to what I was pointing at because the whole rack option is eighth below. And because I order the hottest sauce on my ribs he wouldn't take it back so I ended up paying $57 for something I didn't ask for and the fact that he didn't use cloves at all, not even to give my grandmother and I our slices of bread. He just used his hands for to grab and throw it on the plate. Not only my grandmother was disgusted (she threw the bread away at home) she felt his rudeness and said to me why is he being nonchalant. I understand this is a food truck but customer service experience and me having to pay for WHOLE RACK FOR $30 and I KNOW FOR A FACT I WAS POINTING AT THE 1/2 slab isn't right! I honestly don't know why there's a 3 1/2 star review for this truck IT HAS TO BE BECAUSE OF THE RIBS! (I'm so upset I didn't even eat) because for you to tell me no that's what you order when you were waving us off and when we tried to ask question he just point rd at the menu. Honestly AGAIN, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE THERE QUIT! And wear some DAMN GLOVES!!! $57!!!! I love BBQ and have tried BBQ every time I travel at many different states and different styles. You can go to North Carolina or South Carolina or Georgia or Kentucky and can find so many great locations for BBQ. Here in Miami we have many BBQ joints and really they are all just OK - a pour excuse for BBQ. Well, Smokey Trails BBQ has it figured out - they are by far, the best BBQ in Miami and so would add that its the best in South Florida - its the only place we get BBQ from. Their pulled pork is cooked perfect as are their ribs and chicken - can't go wrong. But add to that, their smoked brisket is amazing! Really, the best place around! I don't know why more restaurants can't do good low and slow smoked BBQ - buts that's OK with me, as long as Smokey Trails keeps doing what they are doing. read more

This place never disappoints!! Anytime my husband and I crave some great bbq, this place is the first in mind! We always get the 4 meat combo with brisket, ribs, beef sausage, and pork sausage, and for only $4 more you get an entire pound of sausage. We never make it home before we are half way done! The meats are so well cooked and mouth watering. And to top it off, the Mac and cheese is perfecttt. We spend $33 and have enough meat for lunch and dinner. You know this guy works hard because he sits out there and smokes that meat all day long. He's real friendly and gives us our own separate menus so we don't have to share. This is my favorite barbecue in Miami hands-down! I have been there several times and also ordered food through third-party apps, specifically Uber eats. Never a disappointment! We found this truck on Yelp with some many 5 stars we had to check it out even though when flying into MIA usually means fresh fish. We cruised over from our hotel and met the super friendly man running the deal. He was so friendly and helpful with our ordering. We over ordered---got pulled pork, brisket, the BKD beans, Cole slaw, and potato salad. It was all AMAZING! The brisket was so tender and smoky. Had the sweet hot sauce on it. Perfection. Nice guy. The potato salad (as others have mentioned) is mayonnaise heavy, but personally i don't have a problem with that. I thought it & the macaroni salad were both pretty good. The best thing here is the sausage. I would suggest going with the sausage. The ribs were good and had a nice smokey flavor to them. The brisket was decent, but a little on the soft side for my personal tastes. I only tried the mustard sauce & I thought it was pretty good. Saw the ratings on this place & said despite the area it has to be good, but boy was I wrong. So unsanitary, he stands hovering sweating over the food, his fingers & under his fingernails are pitch black & gross, it's so nasty. I literally cringed as he grabbed the sausage out the bin with his bare hands, He handles the money & credit cards with his hands then touched the food again. Then when the sauce got on the kid he takes the gross towel he uses to wipe off the counter area to wipe off the inside of the food lid with the towel touching the food. There was someone else behind me in line & she saw the same thing & bailed I did but I had already paid. Kinda rude too, not even sure what kind of sausage he put bc of how he rudely just say Oh I know which kind you're having & was so grossed out watching him grab it I couldn't even ask. I take my Bbq seriously, and If your looking for authentic smoked Bbq, then you need to check out Mr.G and Smokey Trails. I've finally sampled all the meat offerings and I found everything to be excellent. This man knows what he's doing. Ribs are on point...tender, right amount of pull and chew, easy off the bone. Brisket is moist and juicy with a beautiful smoke ring. Oh that bark on the burnt ends. Pulled pork is just as tender and tasty. Beef or pork sausages are nicely seasoned, in a casing that snaps just right when you bite. Notice I haven't said anything about sauces yet. Yeah he's got that covered too, but the meats stand on their own. I usually stick to sides like beans and slaw, and they're very good as well. I've eaten Bbq in many cities known for great cue. It all started when I pulled up on a Friday and stepped out my car just to ask if he was open and he said park your car! I said ok but are you open, he got even louder and said park your car!!
