Cheaper gas, yes, on this Tuscarora land, and cheaper cigarettes. I visit about twice a month for both. I used to pick up some deli items, but in these covid times the deli has been closed. It is open again, but only for a few specific sandwiches. And I usually visit the Overstock Store while there, but discovered this week that their hours are now only 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Wednesday through Saturday. I will adjust my visits accordingly, because I never know what I might find there. In the past I have bought a comforter for my bed, curtains for a kitchen window, a set of glasses, and a few empty cigar boxes. I've been tempted by some automotive products, and an occasional stool or plant stand. Just have to find out for yourself if there is a deal waiting with your name on it. The trading post also has clothing and jewelry and other gift possibilities, many leather goods. And chocolate. There is also a small Native art museum. But it also looked darkened as was the Overstock store. Possibly it is open same days and hours as Overstock. Free to explore when it is open. read more

I don't understand why people go there. Their gas prices are $3.19 a gallon. They DON'T pay state taxes and they're $0.06 a gallon more expensive than the regular gas stations. Taxes are about $.40 - $.50 per gallon and Smokin Joe's is pocketing all that money plus the $.06 a gallon more than other stations. They are REALLY ripping people off. If you go a mile further and pay with cash it's only $2.74 a gallon and they pump it for you. How is Smokin joe's able to get away with it?????? read more

This place is huge! The selection of items makes it feel like a mini-mall. The staff working were all friendly and very helpful as well.

What to do for a few hours in Buffalo? Outlet shopping...Nah! Mediocre tourist traps with sale pricing that I think is the same as in Vaughan Mills. Buffalo Wings...Later! Not hungry yet. Starbucks? Meh...later. I know...Find a cigar lounge, have a drink and relax. There are a few nearby but I ended up a Smoking Joes. The place did look promising, though the photos of the place did not look great on their website. Next to Smoking Joes was Gail's gasbar and they both had cheap gas and the place looked pretty run down. BUT...let us not judge wholly by looks. Decided to go in and and it was no better. The place looked like a rundown k-mart at the end of its Canadian run, but I kept on walking around. Saw the door to the cigar place and stepped it. The light and glow opened the ceilings of the shop, angels flew and trumpets bellowed! It was a glorious time! The place was one huge humidor and it was amazing! Especially when I saw the prices of my favourite brands. Let me give you context to this. A simple cigar like the Arturo Fuente Chateau Natural is about C$25 - inc.tax. There it was US$5.50 or around C$7.50 and they have no local taxes as it was sitting on a Native Reserve. Decided to get myself a really cool box of EPC. These cigars cost C$27 a piece in Toronto. I got them for around C$10 and I even declared them. With full pop and taxes and everything said, it would be around C$17. All I can say is that we are ripped off big time in the Big Smoke. Oh...the lounge was nice BTW. Big comfy chairs, WiFi and satellite TV. AC had the place down to refrigeration temperature and the air extraction system was top notch! Spent a few hours there. "Holy Smokin' Joe Batman!" When you come across businesses like this that sell a little bit of everything it's hard to judge the "overall" business fairly. In the instance of this business if you come in and purchase, for example, stale candy do you slam it and give it a 1 star rating? I don't think you should but most consumers are impulsive like that and react emotionally because that Hershey bar (for example) they were craving like a pregnant woman disappointed them by being stale. Granted I don't do business with this place for the candy bars, cold soda or anything other than their premium cigars. They have amazing prices on cigars, an amazing selection and their online ordering is absolutely stellar. Customer service and those that represent the cigar business are beyond amazing! I wish I lived closer so that I could hang out in the cigar lounge with the fellas but while I do live in NYS, sadly I'm too far to visit the lounge to just hang out. If ever I make my way to Niagara Falls I most certainly will detour to this store for some stogies on my way home. While I know this place sells a little bit of everything they truly are trying to live the American Dream of owning a business and putting food on the table for their families. Good place for cheap gas. The trading post has all kinds of things ranging from watches to Salami and tasseled jackets. it's worth a trip just to explore. I believe there is also a location in Lewiston, NY. If you ride a motorcycle, stop in here. I do not ride a motorcycle, but it's still a good pit stop. read more

This review is for the hot dog stand at Smokin Joes. The food is cheaply priced and a great value and served in a timely manner. However, customers smoke under the awning and you breathe that crap in while you eat. There aren't any "no smoking" signs and people have lost all common courtesy. Also the employees smoke in the cooking shack. In late summer or early fall, be prepared for a barrage of yellow jackets to attack you while you eat. You'd think the smoke would deter the wasps. There are yellow jacket traps there but they are a couple years old and filled with cigarette butts and decomposing carcasses. I understand that it is sovereign land and health department laws don't apply but c'mon man. read more

We went to the retail shop today to look for a suit for my son for his prom. Wow. So impressed!! When we arrived at 10 the man who sells and fits the suits, Burt, wasn't in yet. ( he isn't there until noon with wed. and Sunday's off ) So we had time to kill at the mall where we went to several suit shops and didn't get anywhere near the quality, price, or style that they offer at Smokin Joes!! Recently I had been looking for a pair of turquoise earrings to match a bracelet I bought a while back. My bracelet had very large stones in a color which is hard to find. After doing a search on Etsy, I found that Smokin Joe's offered almost exactly what I was looking for! I was surprised to find a jeweler local to the Buffalo area with an inventory such beautiful turquoise! After a few exchanges with the store manager I came in to the store with my bracelet to have a custom pair of earrings made. The end result was fast and beautiful! I happened upon this gas station while lost in the middle of nowhere (otherwise known as Sanborn, NY). Smokin Joes was offering gas at over 20 cents less than the average gallon's price around town. I'll definitely be back and checking out the shop and deli next time I'm in Sanborn. read more

Make sure you have a half hour or possibly more of free time if you are looking to purchase cold cuts in the deli. When I walked I got the deli there was one person ahead of me who was purchasing a sub. The girl behind the counter asked if I was buying a sub as well, only a pound of turkey. Only two people working and some guy sitting down behind the counter who just stared at all the customers (at this point 7 or so waiting in line to cash out) ... said he didn't work for Smoking Joes hmmmm???? So he just hangs out behind the counter. I continued to wait another 10-15 minutes while the 2 staff members just laughed and joked around making subs. Decided to take my business elsewhere since Tops is down the road, what fueled the fire, the main lobby was empty and the two girls were behind the counter laughing and doing absolutely nothing. Any management?? A 1 star rating is too much!! They need more help, cross training or supervision. Maybe you have to order a lb of turkey and schedule a pick up lol!!! read more
