Made our first of the season dinner from SJs. Pizza is always excellent, generous toppings and flavorful crust. The wings were oustanding and slightly less expensive than other places in the area. Perfectly cook, full and meaty, their normal hot was plenty of spice for me. Also ordered salads, 1 regular salad is plenty for 2, get extra dressings, they're on the side. Delivery was under the hour they estimated and fee was reasonable. SJs never disappoints- great way to start the season, or anytime! read more

Im not sure what is going on at Smokin Joes Vermilion , but what i can say is that their once superior quality has really tanked as of the last few months . There was a point where I got mistake pizzas 4 out of 5 times in a row and im not talking about forgetting a topping , im talking about making a medium and a large order exactly opposite of what I ordered. And today a simple burger was a big let down . Evidently when you order lettuce tomato onion pickle and mushrooms it is overlooked . Not the first time this has happened. Their once fantastic onion rings have been replaced with some that are similar to Burger king's. Maybe when they get their act together I might give them another chance, until then they have lost a customer. The convenience isnt worth the poor quality at this point. Chris Green read more

Fantastic ribs offers several sauce options but great as is. The slabs are huge, biggest have seen. The meat is so tender you can use a fork only. Each bite will bring happy tears. Flavorful and amazing. Highly recommend the ribs. read more

I have never been to this pizza shop before. I don't even live nearby this pizza shop. But. I am already trying to figure out when I'll be back. I live about an hour away. I stopped in looking for some dinner as I was passing through. And decided to pickup a pizza. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. And I was very happy with the quality of the ingredients they used. Real chicken pieces. Not processed chicken. Red onions and amazing cheese along with the best buffalo sauce I've ever tasted. The person who cut the pizza even took pride in cutting it because to me the slices were cut almost evenly. And that's not what normally happens. People are usually in a rush. And the slices are thin and large. But this was awesome. The taste was so good. I want to go back and try something else. Because they have many different flavors. The price was very good. We did delivery on a Saturday. The delivery was about an hour, which was well worth it. We ordered a cheese pizza, chicken ranch, and supreme with no black olives. The chicken ranch was the best. The flavor combination was amazing. The lettuce gave it a non heavy finish. The supreme was packed with all the flavors and gave us tons of leftovers. I will order the chicken ranch again! read more

My kids birthday was rained by cold cardboard fries and cold unwanted chicken I was proud to purchase 40 I guess worth of cold crap. We ordered pizza from Smokin Joe's and it was what we expected. Compared to some of the other pizza places in this area, Smokin Joe's can run a bit pricier. So just FYI. We really liked their version of Hawaiian pizza, which was made with a nice sweet sauce. My Mom really enjoyed their wings and said she would absolutely order them again. We also ordered the Philly Cheesesteak pizza, which was tasty but had more of an onion flavor to me. We ordered this pizza on a stressful night and didn't want to think too much about dinner. The online ordering worked well and came within 40 minutes as expected. I wish I had something more revolutionary to say - maybe I will on my next experience with Smokin Joe's! read more

My wife and I are confessed pizza snobs. We try pizza everywhere we go and review it so you don't have to. This is just an ordinary, run of the mill pie. We ordered half pepperoni half sausage. This is our baseline because you can tell the quality of their ingredients just by looking at these two toppings. The ingredients used are nothing special. Sadly, the pie wasn't either. read more

We moved to Vermilion-Wakeman area a year ago and ordered them for the first time before we even had furniture in our house. Since then we have been a loyal customer and have ordered multiple times a month when life would get too crazy with kiddos and animals and allthethings. The food is always consistent-- in spite of other reviewers being EXTRA PICKY on here. So then we had a fire and our home became unlivable. The staff at SJ's raised money for us and reached out to us as a part of our COMMUNITY. They stopped being a place we shopped as regulars and became a helping hand in return. THAT is the true sense of a Mom-n-Pop restaurant who is involved in its community members. We will forever be grateful and lifetime customers. read more

Pretty good take out place. Lots of good food to choose from and usually pretty fast in preparation (not always, but most of the time). I haven't had any food there that i didn't enjoy. Service is alright. Rarely have any problems with any of the people there. Really would give it 4.5 stars. read more

I know that finding help is difficult right now. But it took over one hour and twenty minutes to get our order delivered. The restaurant is less the 10 minutes from our location. The food was cold. The wings must of came from a miniature chicken. They were so small The pizza was cold. Not even sure it was what we ordered. The driver did offer to bring another pizza. But after waiting so long why bother. Very disappointed. read more

I notice various reviews saying that it depends on who is working on the night that you get your order as to whether it will be good or not. I don't know who was working when we ordered 2 full slab rib dinners but those dinners were absolutely delicious. And they were so plentiful that I saved half of my dinner and had it for lunch the next day. They gave me extra sauce in a little container so I slathered (is that a word?) my ribs with the extra sauce before reheating and they were just as good as the night before. read more

This goes to show how important "consistency" is when it comes to a restaurant! Today, Charles wasn't there, I even asked for him... the woman I spoke to said she's making the pizza, today. I should have known better! Besides the pizza being way overbaked (crust was even tough!!) Then, there was something terribly wrong with the sausage, my husband and I immediately detected a funny taste. (We always get sausage, this was different!) I called around 4ish & spoke to a gentleman who was in a frantic hurry, & he said someone will call me back with my concerns. Hasn't happened. My dad spent $100 there. And boy oh boy was it bad. OK first, they messed up 2 side salads that used to come with rib dinners. (They may not do the salads anymore so not sure on that one.) But then the 4 burger meals we had also ordered were all burnt. Bun, patty. Everything. Also, one was supposed to come with onion rings and it came with fries. Smokin Joes recently catered our family reunion with a pig roast & they did a fantastic job! Not only was Christine easy to work with - all her suggestions were spot on! The pig was beautiful. They came and set up, served our food, and were polite & professional! The ribs were fall off the bone AMAZING and the salad was enough for 3 people! We also ordered their sweet chili and spicy garlic wings. We LOVED the sweet chili, but found the spicy garlic more of a hot wing, which wasn't exciting! We would definitely eat here again when in the area! read more

If you're going to put mushrooms in your alfredo sauce, it would be nice for you to make that known to your customers. This place was downright disgusting in every way! I had high hopes for this place but for the amount of money that I paid for two incredibly sub-par dinners is sad.
