Looking for a decent pizza in Amherst, OH? We stumbled up on this place after the district track meet this evening. Looked it up and had the highest rating in the area. It looks like a large house from the outside, and there is porch seating as well as indoor seating. We were greeted promptly by our server who took our order. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment and was surprised that there were not very many customers in the restaurant on a Friday night. We had a pizza supreme and an Italian salad with breadsticks and drinks for dinner. It came out quickly and well prepared. I was suprised that the salad dressing came out in a packet. Not judging.... The menu was full of variety and had something to offer (even gluten free crust!) for all. Our pizza was tasty, the lettuce was crispy, and the bread sticks with marinara were hot and very good. It was a very good experience and there was good ambience . Would be good for families with young ones all the way up to adults only. I didn't recall if there were alcohol beverages offered. But they do offer BOTH coke and Pepsi . read more

My mom and I (together we are 148 years old hahaha) ordered an extra large with all the veggies, add pepperoni, and requested that all the toppings be diced up small because of mama's teeth and swallowing issues - THEY DID IT PERFECTLY. We were in no hurry to get it and we ordered early enough I think to avoid the dinner rush. The pizza was delicious, we shared with our neighbor and she liked the smaller toppings, too. I also tried 5 garlic parm tenders and OMG too much food and they were so DELICIOUS and huuuge. We'll for sure be back. Be sure and tip your delivery GOOD when they go above and beyond like that! Have always enjoyed D'Tutanelli's but something has changed. Stopped in last week for a pizza and we also split a large salad. The food was good but we both noticed the toppings were smaller than usual and very sparse. Nothing like the last few times we've eaten here. Ordered a Sausage & Mushroom and told the gal who took our order that we love their sausage and we'd really like to see more sausage than mushroom. She took that to mean "extra" sausage and charged us for an extra item on the final bill "after" we gave her our credit card. I also had asked for a refill on my glass of Coke during dinner, and she charged for another glass of pop. I've never seen that before, and did not see it until we looked at the final bill, again, AFTER we gave her the credit card. * I can understand it if we had asked for a can of pop. And . . . my first glass of pop was more than half filled with ice, so didn't really have a full glass of pop the first time. Okay, so filling up glass with ice, is normal anymore and we didn't say a word about it, but charging for a refill??? C'mon man, we just ordered over 30 dollars worth of food and gave you a nice tip . . . and you need to add for a pop refill? That's just wrong. This pizza is so terrible. The sauce is sweet and tastes like spaghetti sauce. The pie is small for the price and the crust is soft. The side salad had a good mix of greens, but I stand by my one star rating. The pizza was that bad. read more

Don't know why we have never ordered here, because it is close to home and they also have delivery. The menu is fairly extensive so everyone should be able to find something to satisfy their hunger. We always go for thin crust, pepperoni and onion. The crust and sauce were good and there was plenty of cheese and pepperoni. We ordered 3 pizzas and breadsticks for a family dinner and the pizza was great! The service was great, it was ready on time. They offered me the special of the day, and although I'm not a huge fan of breadsticks they were good. They have just enough of everything- except the pepperoncini- you pay extra for those toppings and there were like 6 pieces- that gage them a 4 instead of 5. Overall great job!! read more

I've heard a LOT if good things about this pizza parlor... ugh, I beg to differ. The staff was rude and har absolutely NO hospitality! I don't often write bad reviews, but the treatment & crummy pizza that we received prompts me to write a review, as a consumer advocate. I don't mind paying $20 for a quality pizza, but this pizza was a far cry from "quality". When I opened up the pizza box, as I usually do before I leave, the pizza had scarcely any toppings...... and I ordered several toppings. So I asked the girl that I paid if she could explain why my pizza barely had any toppings.... she shrugged her shoulders and went to get a woman that was the "manager", and of course, the "manager" was rude, also. When I asked her about my poor quality of pizza, she merely said, "well, that's how we make our pizzas"! No apologies or any kind of consumer interaction. Ugh!! They are only a block from the best two pizza places in town, don't know why they would try offering lousy pizza at the same price with no concept of making the customer feel welcome or at ease. This was a cute little pizza place. The waitress was awesome and very helpful, as we told her this was our first time there. They gave us a free appetizer... A pepperoni bread with marinara to dip and it was yummy. The menu had a lot of items to choose from, at reasonable prices and the pizza was really good... We ordered the T-Rex, which was their all meat pizza. The only reason I'm not giving it a five star rating is because, to me, it tasted a lot like Pizza Hut and I can get that anytime. Quality of pizza and service has declined despite the what appeared to be more than ample staffing. Pizza was not cut through and it was doughy (not completely cooked). Veggie pizza was delightful, artichokes were not artijoking. Also got the 'choke dip-no complaints here! One thing I feel very strongly about is how we're charged 2.50 for being "out of the area". We're 3 miles out. A friend who is of respectable moral aptitude is a mile away and is also charged this "out of area" charge. What a racket! Call it delivery charge and call it a day. Food is delicious but the customer service is bad. Got a specialty pizza & I asked to replace the green peppers with banana peppers. When I picked it up she charged my 2.25 for the banana peppers. I've ordered 4 times. 2 times I've picked up, 2 times I've had it delivered. Both times delivered its been 20 min late and the latest time was 45 min late. The food is very good. The pizzas are much better than chains. Sauce is fantastic. Slightly pricy. Location is very convenient at the main intersection in downtown Amherst. Staff is friendly, place is spotless. The major complaint of mine is that everything is an upcharge. Proprietors may have preferred buying an airline instead (charge for pillow, charge for seatbelt, charge for life vest, etc...). A little heavy on the red sauce, extra... Few sprinkles of cheese, extra. ..A little ranch dressing drizzle, extra... Surprised there is not an upcharge for the cardboard box and also for the oven time. I am used to good restaurants taking care of their regulars. Another great place is a block away. read more

For all of my almost 40 years I have had a love affair with all things pizza. This pizza reminded me of a pizza from my childhood in Akron, Ohio. It's more expensive than the chain pizza shops but well worth it. Not going to be everyone's most loved pizza but everyone should give it a try. read more

Was hoping to find a new family owned pizza place but found a step above what I can buy in the grocery store (barley).
