If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. From start to finish, this experience of ordering and eating from Sambinos was downright appalling. First off, the workers could be more customer-friendly and nicer. I had to repeat myself at least three times when ordering. I placed my order for delivery, not pickup. I had to call back to check on my order, which the person answering didn't even seem like they knew which order mine was. It was written down as pickup, not delivery, which explained why it took forever to get to me. When my food FINALLY arrived, the gentleman that dropped it off was very nice, which was the ONLY positive from this entire experience. I ordered chicken parmasean. Normal chicken parmasean is a crispy chicken breast with cheese and sauce. The one I recieved was cheaply made noodles with watery sauce and two chicken tenders. The fact that they market this as chicken parmasean is very sad. I also ordered chicken alfredo. It was made with the same cheap noodles and watery alfredo sauce with minimal amounts of chicken and mushrooms. If you're going to put mushrooms in your alfredo sauce, it would be nice for you to make that known to your customers. This place was downright disgusting in every way! I've tried this pizza two times. First time it was great. No issues. That's why we decided to go again...boy was I dissatisfied. They put way too much sauce on the pizza which makes the dough soggy. The pizza was too large for the box which in turn smushed the pizza. And the bottom was over cooked, almost black. I may try one more time for a redemption try. This place is fabulous! I just moved back to the area and boy I was so excited to order Sambinos. I was nervous though because I wasnt quite sure if it would taste amazing like it did before I moved away. It did not disappoint. IT WAS AMAZING! It was just like yesterday! The pizza was so delicious and arrived to my front door piping hot. The wings were great...meaty and with that little bit of crunch on them. The subs and pasta dinners are very large, filling and delicious! My brother, who is hard to impress was blown away by the meatball subs, saying that they are double the meat and flavor of local sub shops. We also ordered two Chicken Parmesan dinners with garlic bread...two were enough to feed 4. They use chicken tenders, but they were fork tender and juicy...also cheesy. Got the Big Sambino special which is XL 2 topping pizza, 10 wings, cheesy bread and 2-liter. Great value for this special. The pizza was very good, not greasy at all and the toppings were generous. The cheesy bread was 5x better than chains who advertise cheesy bread. The wings were decent- nothing spectacular and realistically if you are anywhere near this place and need wings, head over to Cookies. My husband went to get a pizza from the Elyria location on Cleveland Street, and I happen to have a 6 year old son with Type 1 Diabetes. This is an autoimmune disorder and not caused by what he has eaten in the past. He does, however, need to know the number of carbs in EVERYTHING he eats so we can dose him correctly with insulin. To little insulin, he could die, too much insulin, he could die. When picking up the pizza, my husband asked for nutritional information; specifically carbs per serving. No one knew anything. No one knew how to find out. This is the FIRST place I have ever encountered that cannot give this type of information. It may not seem serious to most, but it can be very life threatening for my son. I have now spent $22 for my child to not be able to eat. He is crushed. This diagnosis is hard enough as it is, on him. Now we have to explain to him the best that we can, that he can't eat this pizza. I am baffled that a place that pretty much serves carbs on a platter can't tell me what the carb count is for their pizza. Diabetics beware - no one in the restaurant will be able to help you. Sambino's is the best pizza in Elyria. My husband and I recently moved to this community and, as pizza fanatics, have been trying lots of local pies to find our favorite. Once we had Sambino's we knew the search was over. Their wings are badass too. I've also had occasion recently to discover, in two unrelated venues, that Sambino's actively supports student athletes throughout Lorain County. Sambino's used to make great pizza! Sadly, that's changed. We ordered the Great Sambino which included an xlarge 2 topping pizza, cheesy bread, 10 wings and a two liter of pop. I added cinnamon sticks to the order. First, they forgot the pop. Next, the pizza was so spicey we couldn't finish it. Really needed the pop! First they sent me spaghetti with sauce and no meatballs which I asked for ( Also asked for sauce on the side ( they didn't get that right) I asked for two salad dressings and got one (which I was willing to pay for extra). On top of this they sent no forks. The spaghetti taste worse than canned spaghettios and very processed under plain tomato paste (Don't waste $9.00 on that ..When I called to ask why no forks he replied " Maybe you should have F-ing asked for a fork!" We have been customers for years and have had every item on the menu. Haven't found anything we don't like, service is good, food is good. Occasionally make a minor mistake but we usually order @ their busiest times, and usually don't say anything but if we do they always make it right. Suggestions for improvement: use romaine instead of iceberg for your salads, and include tortilla chips with taco salad. If not for this would give them 5 stars.
