Excellent food and staff. Mutt and Jeffs serves a great lunch with an attentive staff. Been there a few times now and consistently good. I only have a couple of request that would make this place unbeatable as far as restaurant/ bar go. I wish they offered homemade sour dough bread and Cinnamon rolls with meals. The only other request would be to install a trampoline on the dance floor so grandparents with children could have someplace to put the kids while eating. Friday night game spot. Large screen nand reasonably priced food. After 9pm only fried foods are available. Luckily we came in for the fish fry. They only had walleye but it was good hot and fresh. Never had hog wings before yet they are literally fried ribs.they were tender and you get to choose your sauce. I went for the golden BBQ sauce.. The server was excellent . The place is open friendly and casual just yiur corner bar no frills at all. My issue was when leaving it smelled like a sour mop which makes me want to gag. I have never set foot in this place. I have ordered their food through door dash. I have never been disappointed! I have tried a few things on menu. It arrives fresh. It smells amazing. Ambiance is what you would expect, a locals bar in a converted house (I personally like that esthetic). A bit of a dive/greasy spoon, but it works. Service was nothing special, but, got the job done. I specifically chose this place because I wanted some chicken Paprikash. My friend got the nachos. The paprikash was tasty, but, a bit too much sauce and not enough spaetzle or chicken for my taste. Ate here on a whim while I was in town. Looks a bit dark from outside, but it's a cozy bar feel inside. Parked out back and accessed through rear doors. On passing the kitchen we were waved to by staff. Bartender was our waitress and left us choose our own seating. Hubs got a cheeseburger medium well and homemade kettle chips with their own chip dip. I got the lorain cheese steak with fries. Both of our plates were cleaned. The brisket on my sandwich was sooooo tender and the crispy bread went great with the au juis. We just moved to the area. This place is DEFINITELY on our list of restaurants to frequent. I had the Big Reuben. So tender and one of the best Reubens ever. My husband tried the Lorain Cheese Steak Melt. Again, the brisket melted in his mouth and he raved about it the entire meal. My elderly father is picky, so we ordered him a burger and mashed potatoes and gravy. Huge portion of potatoes and gravy! The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Went to Mutt and Jeff yesterday for lunch after helping my brother move into his new place. We both ordered a Knob Creek Manhattan which was excellent , I ordered the brisket sandwich which was moist tender and delicious it came with a golden sauce which had a slight hint of smoke and a bite. The French Fries were crispy and warm. The sandwich had melted pepper jack cheese and pickles on the side. My brother had the Clipper burger which he raved about that had slice white onion ring, bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce tomato, lettuce and pickles were on the side. The woman that took care of us she was friendly, out going and took care of us. She was the only one covering the bar and restaurant portion at that time and she didn't miss a beat. The ambience had friendly vibe. I look forward to a return visit to Mutt and Jeff and try something else on their menu and would also recommend this place. read more

So TENDER, on a brioche bun with a mild pepperjack cheese melted on it. Wow! Hubby had Clipper burger with a big onion ring on it. Both had battered fries on the side. Just yum. I absolutely love this place for there soup. When I order soup I want to taste the home made love in it. If i want canned soup I would stop by the grocery store. Everyday I call when im in town its a new random selection. Yes its listed as a bar. And its on a side street. But when you try there food. I have never witnessed such juvenile behavior from any other manager as I did at this bar. My wife ordered a couple of green tea shots, which when delivered, they were not what she ordered. She asked to speak to the manager after complaining to the bar tender... but he was too busy customizing a black and mild at the end of the bar too talk to her, she walked up to him to confront him, and he ran into the kitchen so he didn't have to talk to her.... Stopped in for the 2019 Lorain County Burger Battle. They won last year for their french onion soup burger, but this year the caprese burger was just okay. I got a side of their sautéed Brussels sprouts and they were pretty tasty. Still a hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bar, but decent food and service. This place was wonderful! Our server was superb! The atmosphere is great. But the food is the really good part. I came with my brother and his girlfriend. My brother got a burger on toast instead of a bun. He got mashed potatoes on the side. Everything was so good. Those mashed potatoes are fantastic! His girlfriend got a steak entree with rice. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I don't care for rice, but she absolutely loved it. I got the chicken entree. The sautéed veggies were excellent! We searched out a restaurant that was highly rated and this came up. We are were a little far from home and like to try local cool places. The wings were good. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger. The chicken sandwich had Mayo on it when I ordered it without it. The burger came out med rare when ordered med well. The service was very slow. We needed things and the server was sitting and eating with another employee. So, the highlight was the bbq sauce, it was good.
